So Many Pieces to Enjoy
Review: Wooden Tool Set for 2 3 4 5 6-Year-Old Boys and Girls – 35 Pcs – Montessori Building Kit Toys with Box -1-3 3-5 – Educational, Autism, STEM, Construction Toy, Creative Learning Game, Kids Birthday GiftsWhat a fun and expansive building toy for little kids. This will give them hours of educational fun and they won’t even know they are learning. My little grandkids played with it for two and a half hours before I had to put them to bed. I accidently left it out in the open and in the morning, they went right back to it. I honestly didn’t think it would be that enjoyable.I have a little workshop in my garage and my granddaughter said that she wants to make something like I make. So, she packed up the tools and we headed for the garage. We spent an hour in there, just me and my little granddaughter. When we walked out to the garage, I could tell she felt like a big girl carrying her own box of tools. We had a wonderful little bonding time together. The pieces in this kit are made from a nice wood. I couldn’t identify it, but it was sanded and finished to be very smooth with no splinters or burrs on it. The pieces in the kit are also well painted and are very bright and inviting. Some of the painted pieces made her laugh a little because of the funny faces on a few of them. All these pieces come enclosed in a nice little wooden briefcase. But as soon as it’s opened, some pieces fall out, because on that side, all the smaller pieces are not secured. There will be a lot of fun for my grandkids playing by themselves and with me. I can’t wait to build our next project.

So much fun– so versatile for any age or skill level
This set is so cute! The case is sturdy– my (almost) 2 year old grandson closed it a bit too forcefully many times but it held up fine. The latches and carrying handles are secure. (He also liked carrying it around.)At his age he mostly examined each of the items, put screws in pegs, stacked items, and whatnot. He was so happy exploring it! He was fascinated all the way up to bedtime.Note, I think two is a little young for this, so I would advise you closely supervise a child of young age. There are a handful of pieces that are a little small, but I think they’re too large for a child to swallow. We set those aside.A thing I like about this kit is that it will grow with your child. The older a child gets the more proficient he/she will become building actual cars and other little doodads. There’s a mini book with ideas, examples, and instructions for building. My only complaint is that once opened it was hard to get everything to go back inside so you can close it. After the baby went to bed my teen and I struggled with this task. It took us a dozen tries to get the pieces arranged in a way that allowed the case to close.I can imagine kids from 2-10 enjoying this toy. I hope for future grandkids who will play with this through the years. I’ll be keeping it in grandma’s toy closet.

Totally fun!
What a cute and fun toy! I purchased this for my 2 year old but I haven’t given it to him yet. I did take it out of the box to “play” with it myself to check it out. I know he is going to have a blast playing with it. The tools have little faces on them which I think will make them laugh. This is the perfect learning “tool” for the little daddy’s helpers! Highly recommend!

Wonderful little tool set
This toy is great for boosting imagination and creativity. It’s also great for educational purposes. My 2.5 yr old now knows all the tools names and uses, which is pretty impressive. Lol You can also build different things with this set so the tools can actually be used! This is fun and makes for great bonding time between siblings and parents with their children. I think this would make a great gift and is an excellent kit for the arsenal in an attempt to get children off of those devices. This is also great for skill building and problem solving.

Really fun wooden tool set! Love these well made wooden toys
The quality of this tool set is really great! It’s very bright and colorful and the paint holds up well to use. It’s targeted for younger kids, as the faces on the tools are fun and geared towards youngsters. The quality of these tools are nice and we’re having a ton of fun with wooden toys. The quality is wonderful and my little kiddo is having a blast. The projects you can do with this kit are literally endless, but it comes with some things to get you started, too. I love this set, and the quality is the thing that stands out the most for me. Would order again!

Super cute and actually works
I love this wooden tool set. I got my son another wooden tool set from SAH Creatives that transformed into a car and other shapes but none of the direction’s actually worked out with the parts we had. This actually works. The directions are great. I like that the box closes and latches. You can keep your tools and parts all in one place. I like that it is made of wood and not plastic. For the price it’s a great gift item for a 3 yo.

Perfect busy toy for 2 year old
I got this set for my grandson because he loves anything he can build and move parts around. Putting the pegs in the holes and using the screwdriver is his favorite. The kit comes in a nice wooden box with clasps to keep it closed. I found that the pieces do move around inside, even if you arrange them as pictured, they jostle while carrying the case around. So be careful when you open it as items may have shifted during transport. This is a great set for a younger child to practice dexterity. Very happy with this play set and would recommend to a friend with small children.

35 pcs wooden tool set to engage kids
35 pcs of wooden objects to engage kids. They include slotted screwdriver, wrench, saw, ruler, plier, hammer, nuts and bolts etc., Good thing is that it comes with a storage container as well to put these wooden pieces back once play is over. Adults can join with kids in using these tools and also teaching them. Good way to skip some screen time.

Excellent quality tool set
This is a great tool set for kids. The tools are all compatible with the building pieces. The pieces are sanded well with no rough spots, though the set was a bit dusty, and the wood is good quality. I looked at other wood tool sets available on SAH Creatives and this one is competitively priced. Many other tool sets in the same price range do not come with pieces for building. For the price, it has a good selection of building pieces, but I wish I could purchase extra pieces separately to be able to build more things and replace any pieces that get lost. The storage box is convenient, but the smaller pieces end up everywhere. It might be wise to keep them in a Ziploc bag or something to keep it organized.

Good quality and can assemble many different models
I bought it for my friend’s kid. She likes it very much. It’s good quality and easy for storage. She can assemble many different models by using it. Also she can easily hold the colorful accessories and plays very happily.

Lots of fun, but tough to keep organized!
My niece loves my husband’s toolbox and likes to grab tools out and pretend she is building things. This set was perfect to make her feel like she has her own tools and play much more safely than with the real tools! The good things: the set is adorable, we love the colors and little faces on the tools. She played with it the whole day and loved being able to run around with her toolset in the wooden carrying case. The instructions are simple and we were able to easily make a few of the suggested items. She is 3 and I would say they were a little complex for her to do on her own, but she had a lot of fun helping out and trying out the tools. The not-so-great: This set has a lot of little pieces and the case has some sections to hold in tools, but nothing is labeled so packing this back up is very difficult. We struggled to get the case closed after playing and had to spend extra time repacking it to try and get it to close correctly.Overall this is such a fun set, and aside from the storage, it was a big hit with my niece!

Weird faces
One of the tools has a weird face. The eyes aren’t on the same side and it drives the kids crazy enough to complain. Overall this is a cute set and the box for them is cute and sturdy.

Great concept, poor execution
A nice wooden carrying box for your tool set seems like a great idea. However, the depth of each side is so small and there are so many pieces, it becomes extremely challenging to be able to close the box up again. Unless you are strategic about where you put each piece (I had to follow the pic on the box), it will be difficult to store all the pieces back in the tool box. I highly doubt my 4-year-old nephew is going to be as precise with putting each piece back in the spot that allows the box to close. I have a feeling this is going to be one of those toys where all the pieces will never return to the tool box once it’s opened. Otherwise though, the pieces are made of solid wood, have lots of variety, and include a small booklet of ideas and instructions. Plus, the faces on the ruler and screw drivers are adorable!!

Don’t underestimate it. Just get it!
Upon opening the box these came in, I was a little disappointed. The wooden toolbox is made from thinner wood, like plywood. It was sanded down well, so there were no rough edges, but it was just so basic. I was worried that is how the rest of the set would be. Boy, was I wrong! The tools and parts are impressive and super cute, with faces painted on. Although it is advertised for kids as young as 2, my 3-year-old initially struggled to connect with them as tools and wanted to use them more as weapons. I thought, “Yep, not really for young kids, is it?” Boy, was I wrong again. Do not underestimate this set! Included is an instruction sheet with over a dozen possible builds. I spent maybe 10 minutes with him building one of the planes and discussing the tools and what each one did. After that, no more weapons; it was all tools. He spent the rest of the day making his own creations and exploring what each tool did and how he could interconnect all the parts. He was even eager to clean up so he could put all his new tool friends to sleep with their faces up and out. I had no idea putting faces on tools would be such a brilliant idea. The parts are well made to fit perfectly with the tools and even have some coordination with the colors. They are sturdy, with no rough edges in the wood. I felt very safe having our little guy handle them. He has not gotten any slivers. The tools are bigger, so they are easy to grab but not heavy at all, being light enough for our son to get some good dexterity with them. He has never been into tools before, but this set really caught his attention. As I look at the bare toolbox, I realize what a wonderful experience my son will have painting it and making the box his own. These little things make this set stand out and unique. The only improvement I can see is with the storage of the parts. They have their own section of the toolbox but need something to keep them from moving all over when the box is closed. That is hardly a deal breaker and should not stop you from getting one as fast as possible, especially for a little one aged 2 to 6.

my three years old loves playing with it
this set is a good pretend play building kit. most of the screws can be put on and off by hand. the tools look pretty realistic and are more for pretend play. it doesn’t come with much pieces. You probably can only make one configuration at a time. The wood box it comes with is pretty simple. helps to keep things in one place. child loves the hammer the best.

Great toy, toddler loves it!! I love wooden toys.
That said, why is it that so many products carried by SAH Creatives that are made of wood are not finished. The parts and pieces are pretty good but the case. Raw wood. Not sanded very well. No oil/wax. Another project for mom.

Sturdy material
The quality of the tools is very good, the wood is very smooth and there is a variety of tools provided. The product was a bit damaged at the edge when arrived.

Pretty decent
I think this would be better if it had more building pieces and fewer tools. Overall, it’s okay. It comes with a little instruction book showing the child the different things s/he can build.

Great Quality Wood
This is a high-quality wooden tool kit. The painted wood is very smooth, with no splinters. The wooden screws really work and are large enough and easy enough for toddler hands to manipulate. The screwdrivers really fit into the heads of the screws and can be used to put together and take apart things. I like the instruction book that gives ideas for very simple things to build. Just be careful to keep the wooden hammer and saw away from any furniture or breakable objects. The wooden box for storage is a plus. This kit provides fun and hands-on learning keeping kid’s minds and hands engaged for long periods.Great product for role play and imitating grown-ups building too.

Wonderful tool to encourage creativity!
I was very impressed with this toy. It seems to be well constructed and good quality. The best part to me is it’s not just a tool box, like some, but has the added bonus of making things with it. In today’s world of so many virtual toys and games, it encourages my grandchildren to be more creative and have hands on experience building things they can play with. It comes with with an excellent guide book that shows the children how to put together various wooden toys using the tools in the box. I like the wooden box it comes in; however, I would have put a cover over the nut & bolts portion or something to keep them in place instead of falling all over the box. Other than that minor detail, I’m well-pleased!

Very fun and complete toolkit for kids!
This is a really nice toolset that’s well made, good quality material and is rather complete in the kinds of items it has in it which can really help a child learn how to use these tools and prepare to use real versions of them in the future! The bolts and quality of the wood is rather surprising how good it is!

approved by kids and parents!
I was pleasantly surprised by this toolkit! It’s very well made, meaning the pieces that are supposed to fit together actually fit together and the tools actually work (even though it’s easier to just use your fingers). There’s a neat guide that shows you how to make a few things like a race car and helicopter. The toolbox itself is sturdy and fun to tote around. I loved seeing my kids (6 and 4) use their imaginations to make things without the guide—so far they’ve done a bird and a giraffe (Mom had to use her imagination too…😉). We are all very pleased with this kit!

fun, well-made tool kit
this tool kit is so cute, very well-made wooden box with carry handles for easy transport. I love that everything inside is made from wood and is very smooth and child friendly. The tools themselves have cute little faces, and he received an instruction sheet with a large variety of things that you can build, this set is great quality and will last for years.

Not impressed
This toy did not meet my expectations at all. It looks nice and the tools are fun for the kids to play with. But, when it comes to building it was very challenging for kids. Adults need to help for sure. This toy is geared towards children 6 and up.
