Cool toy, has small magnets
Very durable, and our 2-y/o loves it. However, we only let him play with it with strict supervision because there are magnets at the ends of the fishing lines. He loves playing with the fish, and our older son enjoys the game too, but I took off a star because this was marketed toward infant-age kiddos without much warning about the dangers if they swallow the magnets. They seem to be on the string pretty well, but if your kids still like to put things in their mouths, I wouldn’t suggest this toy. Otherwise, it was a big hit for us.

Love it
My preschooler grand kids love this game. It’s stays any Gigi’s house and they get so focused on fishing, grownups can have conversation. They are too young to keep score or read for now but the fishing pole and magnet fish are enough challenge for now.

Great set. Durable and cute.
I use this for Bible school and I love the way basket looks like a basket that could be used in Bible times.

Great toy for learning.
I disliked some of the letters on the fish and how they were written. Would have preferred clear block letters.

Magnet doesn’t work on number side
Super fun game: my son loves to fish. But the Magnet is only on the letter size. It would be good if it went to the number side to.

Fragile line to the pole in one of them. Don’t pull it.
Great overall. One of my child’s favorite toys. She made her own fishing rod using a basket handle and a straw. Aren’t children’s imagination great!!?So I got this for her.Pros: vibrant colors, learns knew sea creatures names, plays for hours, enforces her alphabet, fine motor skills are practiced, can put together and rake apart the rods.Beautiful pond mat and it’s easy to out away. Love the bucket/basket. She enjoys cleaning up.Con: rod line retracts when turning too much when you are teting to make it long to “fish” in the pond. As a result, children may pull at it to make it longer. After a few times, that pole will only retract and not elongate itself anymore.

Fun to play!
I wish the magnets on the fish were a bit bigger for the toddlers to attach to. My toddler likes to throw things so if I lose a fish, the alphabet part is over.

Cute but small
Definitely fun but it’s limited in enjoyable playtime. I think the small size is frustrating to a young child trying to “catch” a fish. Overall it’s cute but I didn’t see it played with more than a couple of times. The price point is expensive for this toy.

Great toy with an addition of learning
This is like an upgraded version of the fishing game! It has multiple colored fishes and fishing rods to catch the fishes. But in addition, it has letters of the alphabet that can be added to the fishes. So kids can catch fishes in a certain order to spell words!Another way to pkay is feeding the cat. There is a section at the corner where you can put the caught fishes. The section is the “cat’s mouth” and you feed it fishes. You can get creative and compete by time (max fishes fed in a minute) or feed certain words or play simultaneously and catch different colors to see whose color is eaten first and so on.Fun little game with various options to play. Definitely recommend it for the price!!

Beautiful toy!!
Loved this toy! The packing was too good. Everything can be stored inside the box and it is very sturdy. I bought it as a gift for a 2 year old and the kid took to it instantly and plays with it everyday. It is very much loved. Variety of poles. The magnetic pole is strong enough and perfect size for tiny hands. Bright colors. Would recommend it!

Helps with hands on learning!
We homeschool 3 children, and currently have a 3 1/2 year old who enjoys doing preschool activities. This is a nice hands on alphabet game that also helps with motor skills. It has the alphabet on the bottom of the tray, so once the lid is on, the holes line up to match the letter on the fish with the letter on the tray. It also comes with a magnetic fishing rod and a little magnetic tool that will just pick up the fish. The tray is completely open under the lid, which I like this fact that way everything can fit inside the tray when it’s not being used in order to take it with you places. I guess my only minor complaint would be that the lid doesn’t really snap on tight; it basically just sits into place and can be removed easily. That could be frustrating for the little ones if they grab it wrong, everything will spill out. Also not necessarily a bad thing since little ones can take the lid off easily to put everything away.Definitely a nice little learning toy to start recognizing the alphabet and developing motor skills!!

Fun, educational toy – SUPERVISED
This is a very bright and fun toy – but for a 2-year-old must be supervised! The magnetic pieces are small, and would be easy to swallow. If supervised, this is a wonderful toy! Very good at sorting, alphabet, counting, eye-hand coordination. My granddaughter loves it!

Perfect Gift For A Toddler
My 3 year old niece absolutely loves this fishing game and so do I. She always drags out this toy when she visits and makes me play it with her. The magnets are strong on the fish and it helps her with the alphabet. All parts are easily stored in its case. This is a great investment for the countless hours of fun and educational benefits.

Fun purchase for our son!
This is a fun little purchase for our son, who has taken great interest in the alphabet recently. It includes both the fishing rod (which is more challenging) and the spear (which is much easier to handle, especially for younger toddlers), which was a big plus, and probably will ensure that the product gets used for a longer period of time. The board and the fish were all bright-colored and seem to be of great quality – it should last as long as our son continues to take interest in the toy!

A winner!
My two year old granddaughter is really enjoying this little game. It’s just the right skill level to keep her busy for hours. She’s so proud of herself and she’s able to catch one of the fish. The quality of the game itself is quite nice, overall, I think this is a winner and a lot of value for the money.

Nothing I don’t love about it. Everything I need it to be and perfect for turn taking.
*Firstly the fish basket is thick so as long as its put away it should keep in decent shape.*Every sea creature has a name, picture, and letter.*Handles of fishing rod twist on and off(they are wooden)the string does not extend too long and eventually reels in after continuing the turning of the handle which tbh is perfect for small children to pick up with the magnet tip anyways.👍🏻👍🏻* the sea mat is soft, smooth and washable.

2 year old is obsessed
My 2 year old daughter loves this game and wants to be playbit everyday and we bought it months ago. I might purchase again because she has lost quite a few of the fish, but it’s still fun for her.

Wonderful for ages 3-1st grade
Bought this for a VBS activity and it was a hit. You can use it a number of ways…make up your own style of play. We had questions connected the to alphabet side so they didn’t know what question they would have. Will be great for future classes as well!

Cute
Cute toy. I always love toys that come with their own storage, but didn’t anticipate how big this bucket would be. It’s fine but I think they could have found a way to make it smaller.

Cute and Fun Teaching Toy
My kids love these and enjoy bringing us their ‘catch’ to find out what they are. Only one draw back, you have to take the poles apart to store in the bucket and make the lid close. My kids are not quite old enough to put them back together by themselves. However, the fun they have while fishing far outweighs that concern.

Puts fine motor skills to the test for 2 yr old
Per the description, this fishing game can have different goals as your toddler grows. We got this for our granddaughter when she turned 2 and we keep it at our house for when she visits. Right now, this fishing game is testing and only helping her learn hand eye coordination and fine motor skills. She can use the fishing spear to pick up the fish without them falling off before pulling out of the base holes. In time with more coordination and practice, she will be able to pull out the fish using the fishing pole. As she grows, we can incorporate other activities with the letters and making words. This is not an everyday toy, but she loves playing with us for a while each time she visits. Over time, I think it will help accomplish its intended learning goals.

Magnetic toys are always popular with the Family Daycare children
This magnetic fishing game got used the first chance after it arrived and the kids enjoyed it. All of the pieces pass the test in the choaking gauge tool we use to check children’s toys before using them. The magnet in the fishing pole could be a little bit stronger, but it’s sufficient and allows the pieces to be jiggled loose into the holder. The hand wand for smaller children also works, but could benefit much more with a better magnet and was a little hard to use because the pieces fell off easily. As far as the toy overall, it has smooth edges, made well, and the base doubles as storage for the pieces which is nice.
