I love them, and I will make the board myself
Those are very well made and they look fantastic. The colors are beautiful (milk and chocolate) and the size is very satisfying. I will create the board on my own as a good Spring project.

Finished nicely, very lightweight, too expensive
This is a decent set of wooden chess pieces. The king is 4.5″ & all of the pieces are smooth & shiny. The felt on the bottom of one of my pieces had a wrinkle, so it wouldn’t sit flat. I was able to pull it away & replace it smoothly, so no biggie. The pieces are hollowed out, so they’re very lightweight. For $40, it would’ve been nice if they were weighted. There are other sets available for around the same price, with slightly shorter kings, that are weighted. Taking that into consideration, I feel like these are a tad overpriced – a more reasonable price would be somewhere closer to $30.

Nice looking set!
Nice looking wood chess set with a nice classy look. They come in two bags, one for each color! Great size so very easy to play with! You must provide your own chess board. Would make a great gift.

We are going to need a bit more quality in the pieces to justify the price, or throw in a board.
On the wooden chess board pieces without a board I would say that’s definitely disappointing that for the price you would expect to get a little more (in this case a board plus the pieces) or for the quality of the pieces to be outstanding. The packaging in nice, the bags are soft and nice as well but this is about the best part of what we are going to receive. As we already know unfortunately we are not going to receive a board with these pieces but more of the disappointment is that the pieces appear to be well made at first but you actually find with some careful looking that consistent quality is not really in their favor. Overall, the pieces look nice and they feel OK; they’re very light and when you examine them you can also tell they’re hollow. It’s also easy to see that they’re not well made on a consistency perspective as you look at the bottom of the pieces you can see on some of them the felt divots inward where on some of them it appears flat and leveled across the bottom. All in all I’d say for the price this really isn’t worth it you can get a great set with the board and can enjoy the game with a board far more than just buying these pieces themselves for the price that they are going for here.

Made in China. Nothing fancy, but I like them. Board not included.
These chess pieces are nice and smooth. Felt on the bottom. Come with velour bags. They also come nicely packaged in a cardboard box. These chess pieces are nothing super fancy, but they are nice overall. Keep in mind that this listing is for the pieces only. Board not included.These chess pieces are made in China and being sold by Chinese company on SAH Creatives.

Nice Chess Pieces But Some Came Chipped
Nice size chess pieces but some of the pieces came chipped. The pieces would be nicer if they were weighted. They do come in two quality felt bags, one for each color. All you need is a board & your all set.

large and nicely made
I really like these chess pieces as they are perfectly sized (the largest piece is 4.5 inches) but not heavy and easily movable during the game. the pieces are made of solid wood with a nice shiny coat and storage bags. Highly recommend.

Beautiful large chess pieces that are perfect to complement your chess board!
I have a large chess board where I have been missing some of the original pieces. That is the reason I picked up VAMSLOVE Wooden Chess Pieces. They are large (4.5 inches for the larger pieces) and all with beautiful craftsmanship.This is a full set (32 pieces) but note there is no chess board that comes with this. This is a perfect set to upgrade an existing set or chess board missing its pieces. The pieces come in nice velvet bags for storage.This would make a great gift to yourself or someone who enjoys chess. Just make sure they already have a chess board to use them on!

The pieces are a nice large size, padded bottoms and come with 2 velveteen bags. They are sturdy and elegant looking. All ages and levels will enjoy playing chess with these pieces. Whether you purchase for yourself or gift to someone, the game will be enjoyed with the substantial pieces. They are smooth and good weight. Chess pieces only, a board is not included.

These are gorgeous chess pieces. A little odd it doesn’t include a board.
These are great looking, nicely sized wooden chess pieces. They have a felt bottom.They’re quite nice to look at, and the detail is nice. I especially enjoy the knight with the mane and wide eyes. The king and queen also have great detail. It comes in two nice felt bags one for each color. They’re high quality felt bags.It’s just a little odd that it doesn’t come with a board like most sets. But that certainly gives you flexibility and these would not look out of place on an expensive marble chess board.Highly recommended!

Awesome Pieces, Huge
Almost too big for my 16″ board, but they fit, and I dig them. They’re super light for their size, and I’d kinda like for them to be heavier or weighted, but they’re good. It almost seems like there’s an indention under the felt pieces on the bottom, for if you wanted to weight them yourself? I’ll have to look into them. But out of about 4 sets of pieces I own, I think these are my favorite, so far. Good stuff 👍

Nice set. carry bags are nice
This wooden chess set is nice. The pieces are beautiful and easy to grab. The felt on the bottom is nice (one piece has the felt falling off but easy to fix) The only draw back to these is they are very light. Sometimes I like the heaver pieces while playing but these are great to have a quick match around the house.

Beautiful wooden chess set
My son started to become interested in chess so I got this set for him to try it out. This is an elegant wooden set with intricate carving that would last for years to come. All the pieces are nicely polished and well shaped. The bottom of the pieces are fitted with felt to minimize scratch and sound. My son really enjoys the set and the only drawbacks are that there’s only one queen in each set and it does not come with a board. It would be nice to have an extra queen pieces so that we don’t have to pretend the pawn turn into the queen. Good set for beginner chess player

Beautiful extra large wooden chess pieces
I ordered these to replace my sons smaller wooden chess pieces. Once we received the pieces I was amazed at their size. They are definitely larger than normal in a good way. The wood used to make these pieces is solid and well shaped and sanded. The stain used to color the wood was evenly applied with no light spots. The bottom of these chess pieces are also lined with filth. I am very happy with these chess pieces and would definitely order these again.

Quality Chess Pieces
My boys are always losing chess pieces and instead of buying another new chess set I decided to order these and happy I did. The pieces come stored in two large velvet drawstring bags, they are carved out of quality wood, have felt glued to the bottoms and they are very large, which is good for the one board that we have. Even the cardboard box they came in was of good quality, and there is not anything about these chess pieces that I don’t like, I highly recommend if you are in search of a good quality set of wood chess pieces. The one thing I will say is that I don’t really know how much a set of chess pieces cost, so that would be for the buyer to decide, as these pieces were at a value of $40 when I ordered them. I highly recommend.

Nice chess set but hollow
I recently made my own chess board from scratch and I was looking for larger chess pieces to complete my set. The set comes with 32 pieces (16 each color) made of wood with a nice varnished finish. Overall, a beautiful set that comes with two drawstring velvet bags for storage. The only thing that I would say could be improved is the weight of the pieces. They are hollowed out in the middle which you can see on the felt bottom. This gives them a rather light feel but not that big of a deal considering the price point. Highly recommend.

Large size, beautiful modern look
I love the size of these pieces! I got them for a high school chess club, and they just used some electrical tape to design their own chess board on one of the school desks. They loved these! So easy to grab each piece and also so easy to see from around the room without crowding around the desk.I wouldn’t say that the styling is anything special. They have a bit of a minimalist, modern look to them, but I do like the ivory finish on the white pieces that almost make them look like ivory. The pieces are a little lighter weight than I thought they’d be, but no big deal. What they lack in weight, they make up for in size.
