Chip in the board, line through part of the wood
Was super excited for this, but there is a small chip in the board and a flaw in the wood. I didn’t expect this to open up and have the pieces in the bottom, but you open it, board on top with pieces underneath it? Over time they will not stay there. It’s not terrible but could definitely be better.

I always liked chess, this is well made
I can’t afford a really well made 200$ chess board/pieces just for chess but this is a great cheap one, I never liked when they put magnets don’t like the resistance when I move a pieces that’s why I picked this, it’s one that doesn’t have the magnets, everything light but the pieces aren’t too light tho.

Nice Chess Set!!
I’ve played chess since kindergarten, and I have collected chess boards my whole life. I really like this board. It’s solid, the perfect size, the pieces are really nice. I love the individual storage for the pieces so they aren’t hitting and knocking each other. The set is even prettier in person than in the pictures. It’s a great value for the money, and several of my friends will be receiving gifts of these.

Poor Checkers Set—No “Bonus” Checkers as Advertised
So there are not “24 bonus checkers”—24 checkers—12 on each side—is the minimum needed to start a game. As such, we didn’t have enough checkers to make kings.Also, the checkers don’t fit into each other when you stack two on top of each other to make kings. As such the checkers on top of the king kept falling off the bottom piece.The checkers portion—haven’t tried the chess side yet—is poorly designed and thought out. Even though it looks nice, I wish I’d gotten a different set.

Be aware
Board does not lay completely flat and you have to take out all the chess pieces except for the pawns to play checkers or the board is unlevel.

My father taught me to play chess, and some of my oldest remembered memories are of me and him playing. So I wanted to be able to do the same for my kids! I do have a really m, really nice chess set that was given to me as a gift years ago, but it’s crazy expensive and not something I would want my kids playing with for fear of losing and breaking pieces. So I was on the hunt for something cheap, but that we could still play with. And this AMEROUS 15” chess and checker set seamed to fit the bill!And so far i have to say that i’m happy with it. I love that both the chess and checker pieces all have there own slots for storage! A lot of the less expensive sets you just throw them all jumbled up in a big open space inside the folded up chess board. So it was definitely a huge plus for me that these each have there own individual slots!Quality wise, I mean it’s not an expansive set. So I didn’t expect highly detailed chess pieces that looked like they were hand carved by someone with amazing craftsmanship, and they definitely are not. But the pieces are easily distinguishable for playing, and work great, so I really don’t have any complaints. For the price point it’s about what you would expect. But even still everything feels solid and should last a long time if taken care of. So I would totally recommend it if your just looking for something suitable for play!

Convenient Set to Have Around
My son and I play chess sometimes at night. The current set that we have is a big box of 5 different games; a bit tough to carry around. I saw this set and decided to try it out. We’ve enjoyed playing on it. The board folds into an attractive wooden case. The pieces are firmly embedded in the backing and will not fall out. The extra queens are a nice feature! However, the pieces could be heavier – they are a bit light which makes them fall over easily if you brush them with your hand. Also, the board would benefit from having coordinates on the sides, which both beginners would use. Overall, though, this is a great set to have around to pull out for a quick game. We don’t play checkers very much, but the fact that includes the pieces to play that is an added feature.

Smells funny but a very nice looking chess set
This is a very fancy chess set. Beautiful pieces and board. The package itself is very nice. However, there is a bit of an odd smell and the actual inside of the case does not look as good a quality as it does on the outside. The pieces themselves and the board are very good. It is a sharp looking chess set. It is a nice sized board. Far from small, but not something that takes up too much space. Very sharp looking. Much nicer than most of the other Chess sets we have. Just a odd smell. Wish the inside of the case was a bit nicer. But overall a very good chess set to play with.

Nice chess set
Overall I am really happy with the quality of the chessboard. The wood feels well made and is smooth but all the pieces are still easy to hold. The pieces smoothly slide along the board and their felt bottoms have held up well through plenty of use. I like how all the pieces can easily be stored inside the board. This helps keep everything organized and helps make sure that no pieces are lost. I will note that the checker’s pieces are a bit difficult to get out but the chess pieces come out easily. In terms of fun, this 2 in 1 set is great for anyone. Both chess and checkers are games that most people know and if not are not too hard to learn. They also both have plenty to learn if you want to start perfecting your strategies. The whole package is fairly compact meaning that I can easily store it away and get set up to play without it much hassle. Overall, its a great way to play a great game.
