Well Made

This electrical busy board is so much fun. Theres so many switches & buttons to mess with & see the corresponding lights lit up. Its great for a toddler, or in my case, my 10 yr old kid that likes to fidget lol. The board is sturdy and theres no worry about babies getting into the batteries or actual wires. Nice toy!

New Favorite Toy
My daughter loves buttons and switches. This has quickly become her favorite toy. She loves turning all the lights on and marching around with it.The instructions that come with it were not very intuitive, there are 2 screws on the front top that I had to remove and put 2 AAA batteries in before it would work. The cord that came on mine looked like a computer power cord not an A/V cord like many of the pictures show. This has been a great toy to keep an easily distracted kid focused on all the flashing lights and the switches.

Fun toy, but ‘fragile’ enough to require supervised/careful playing

We have a 1yo and an 6yo. At first glance, this busy board was fun for the most part. The busy board measures approximately 7.25″ x 3.75″ x 1″ (18.75cm x 9.5cm x 2.5cm).The 6yo lost interest in the busy board relatively quickly. To the 6yo, it was fun for a bit, and here and there, but not enough “fun” to be a distraction for more than 5-10minutes. This busyboard does require 2 AAA batteries for the LED/lighted features. Otherwise, it can still serve a purpose without it (toggling switches, pressing buttons, key switch, and turn knob)To the 1yo, we saw there was more supervision and instruction needed (not a surprise). We needed to guide the 1yo on how to flip the various switches, and how to turn the knob. After about 10minutes of play, it seems the 1yo was mainly able to grasp the concept of the blue-push-button. Took a bit more time to get the 1yo to learn how to turn the knob, and to toggle the switches. We didn’t bother to do the key yet, as that will surely take much more fine-motor development, so the key switch and the cable-plug itself is not so much a factor in this review, other than the potential “damage-ability”.In regards to the potential fragile-ness of the busy board, we worry that the cable and the “large yellow” light (the moon?) can be easily damaged by our 1yo. The moon is a half-sphere, and we’re not sure what’s holding it to the wood surface, but there is potential our 1yo will press down on it with enough weight to push it in, or crack it. It hasn’t occurred yet, but we would not be surprised if it were the case.Similarly, the round power-cable attachment. We’re hoping that it’s firmly anchored to the body of the busy board. Again, we won’t be too surprised if it were to become loose, or detach; not knowing how strong it is anchored. We do acknowledge that there is useful and potential learning/educational aspect to this toy, in terms of power, lighting, electricity. The dinosaur designs are secondary. Not much to take away in our opinion. The power cable is safe. We sacrificed our safety for the sake of our 1yo 😀 and we licked the power cable ends (either side) and we did not get shocked.Overall, fun and interactive toy. It will take some learning on the part of my 1yo, and some focus of course. Generally, we don’t have high expectations to keep the attention of either of our children for extended lengths of time.

So cute!
This is great for color recognition, hand eye coordination, and making connections. This should entertain your kids for quite a bit, there’s so much to do on it!

Teaches how to use different types of switches
My grandson loves this toy. He already was interested in lights and would like to turn the kitchen lights off and on and use the dimmer. Now he has his own light control and can learn how to use various kinds of switches to control them. There’s no dimmer here but there is a knob to turn on a circle of colored lights that rotate. The more you turn the knob the faster the lights rotate.Another feature isn’t really a switch but a plug similar to what you might find on a notebook charger. The plug is a bit tight when inserted and my grandson had some difficulty removing it at first. I had to hold the unit down while he tried to pull it out because he would end up picking up the whole unit without the plug coming out. But it was a good learning experience because now he knows he sometimes has to use both hands. There is also a key switch so he has learned how to insert a key into a lock and turn it.Overall, I think this is a worthwhile educational toy.

Great educational toy that will keep a toddler occupied on road trips, while they learn skills.

I bought this for a nearly 3 yo boy, to keep him occupied on road trips. This is a great educational toy that will help your child develop practical real world mechanical skills. The toys is just the right size that they could use in while in a car seat, and small enough for them to carry around on their own. I think that this fills the gap in education until they are old enough to use an iPad. The Busy Board will teach your child how to use various switches (rocker, push-button, slider, toggle) as well as a Rheostat (rotary variable switch), and a key switch. Check out my video for a demonstration of the different functions. The toy has sturdy construction, and I went over it carefully to see if I could detect any potential hazards from loose parts to sharp edges, and this Busy Board has passed my inspection. The toy requires two AAA batteries (not included) that are installed under the cover up top that says “Dino Party.” That cover is held in place by two long phillips head screws that are threaded into brass inserts, so you don’t have to worry about a child backing the screws out and ingesting them. The toy is suitable for boys and girls, and I think that they would be capable of using the board (and still be entertained) from ages 2-4. Overall, I think it’s a great educational toy that will last from child to child. I hope that you find my review, video, and pictures helpful in your decision making. Thanks!

So much fun!
I got this for a toddler I know. He had recently visited my house and could not get enough of pushing the buttons and turning the dials on my stereo receiver and watching all lights switch on and off, etc. (thank goodness, I didn’t have the speakers hooked up!!). I thought he would enjoy a little toy that did all the same things – knobs to turn (makes the lights spin faster), toggles, buttons, the plug, the keys! He loved it all and kept telling me “I did it!”. Also, this toy does not make noise, so that’s a plus 🙂

Great for kids with anxiety issues!
Busy boards, like this one, are great for kids with issues with anxiety. This helps keep her mind from racing by keeping her hands busy. The different sensations through touch helps relieve stress and her overthinking. It’s compact, so it’s easy for her to carry around with her and even take it in the car.

Great for car rides
We’ve been trying to get our daughter into STEM activities without too much screen time to learn and this is perfect. I don’t know what it is about these busy boards but she absolutely loves them and it keeps her entertained for at least an hour while she’s learning fine motor skills.

Cute busy board for a toddler
Nice busy board that has a lot of switches that light up the colorful lights. My 3 year old niece will like it. The busy board requires 2 AAA batteries that are not included. It’s quality made and should last for years.
