Fun wooden beads
I love traditional toys like this for our toddler, it helps her with her motor development and teaches her how to assemble something.Being Blues Clues branded is great for me because my toddler absolutely loves blues clues and Blues Clues & You.Really well made, real wood by a great brand.I Love Melissa & Doug products

Old-Fashioned Fun But Lacking Closing Box Top
As much as our three year old enjoys this block lacing set, there are a few features that make it less than five star worthy. It’s fun to lace the blocks together according to the double-sided activity cards, but it’s also frustrating for a three year old to see their hard work fall off the other end while they lace. She has learned to do this exercise very carefully, so I guess that’s a positive. My other gripe is the lack of a box top to keep contents neatly stored away. We have other Melissa & Doug toys that come with sturdy boxes or closing tops—this one has nothing to keep blocks, laces and cards contained.

Perfect size
The blocks are the perfect size for little hands. My child loves to put the string in the blocks! I wish it was more blues clues themed but oh well. It’s a really cute set and so worth it for the money!

sturdy and many uses
Melissa and Doug toys are a favorite of mine because of their durability among other reason. This set of needs and cords are very durable. My 3 boys have all received Occupational Therapy at some point or still are. The OTs have similar toys like this set to help with coordination, pincher grip, hand strength, and sequencing. The Blues clues is a cute theme and makes the beads a little more fun than just plain wood. There are 4 cords, so you can do sorting or more than one kid can play at once.

Great toy
This lacing bead toy is so cute and fun. Melissa and doug Toys are all well made and high quality and this is no exception. The beads can be stacked like blocks as well.

Fun and good for motor skills
I really like these for my toddler. They are wood and really good quality. We string them on the strings it comes with or we stack them with numbers or pictures. I like that it works his fine motor skills to string the blocks onto the string and you can count with them, etc..

Attractive and Educational Toy for our 2.5 Year Old
This is one of my toddler’s favorite Melissa & Doug toys. I love that it helps with the fine motor skills of lacing, but also incorporates numbers, colors, shapes, images, etc.

TL/DR: Well made wooden toys with colorful characters including Blue from Blue’s Clues. The included laces will help your small child learn colors, numbers, and the basics of using laces.Pros:o Nice wooden constructiono Wooden blocks well madeo Colorful numbers and characterso Activity cards that a child can followCons:o Price is maybe a tiny bit high?o Would have nice to have a lid (this is NOT a comment on the packaging, rather on the kit itself.)Being able to string beads or blocks on twine, it’s a great thing for your kid to be working on, right? This Melissa and Doug kit has some nice colored laces with a set of 25 small blocks with nice big holes for your child to work on this skill.Just stringing blocks is okay, but it’s nice if you can work on letter and number matching, or color matching at the same time, and the pictures on the blocks help with that. The co-branding with Blue’s Clues is going to make this a little more attractive your tot, and anything that pulls them into an educational toy is a winner, right?——–I’m honored to be included in the Sah Creatives Vine program, and I work really hard to make these reviews and videos helpful. I put in a lot of effort to try to help you learn the most important facts about the product. Good luck with your decision, and if you do decide to buy the product, I hope the things you find in this review make it easier to use.

Melissa ans Doug Classic Toy
Melissa and Doug does it again with this classic toy. When i saw these lacing beads I definitely wanted to get them. This toy is extremely good for eye hand coordination and also fine motor skills the box says 3 plus which is about right.I also like that there are cards for children to follow if you child would like more of a challenge. I was a teacher for many years and lacing beads was always one of the favorites. This toy is all made of wood and the quality is exceptional like all Melissa and Doug toys. It also comes with a wood box to store your lacing blocks and the laces are all included. My grandkids are going to love this. I highly recommend this great learning toy.

What a great toy for my toddler and even Kindergartener
I love that this incorporates colors, images, shapes, and numbers into both a fine motor and educational toy. The strings are good enough quality to slide cubes through. The cubes themselves are smooth and have not rough edges. The printing on the cubes are not stickers which we’re hopeful they last longer that way. I also like that it comes with a few flash cards for the kids to try and copy for recognition exercises. Overall enjoyable toy with great learning potential for your kids!

Very good educational toy for young ones
This is a fun and educational toy for younger kids. It helps them develop skills they will need for kindergarten and in life. The set of blocks have various things on them, including colors, shapes, numbers, Blue’s Clues characters, and more. There are laces for stringing the blocks in order to match to the items on the included cards. This should keep little hands and minds busy.As others have also mentioned, there needs to be a lid for the storage box. And there seriously needs to be some sort of clamp or retainer to hold the blocks on the laces. (I’m thinking we will try a binder clamp) Apparently, though, the littles can learn to keep the blocks from falling off by taking care with it. Perhaps it will also teach a bit of patience.I plan to gift this set to one of my family kiddos and look forward to them enjoying it. It’s a nice sturdy set and should make an excellent toy that teaches with their favorite Blue’s Clues characters.I think it’s a fair price for the set and would be a great gift for your favorite small person.

A fun set.
Great for little ones learning to thread. The thread could be a little better quality, but the set is fun on it’s own. The blocks can be used as blocks or threaded on the string. They are smaller blocks so we’re careful and always supervising.

Strings are poor quality but blocks are nice
I bought this for my 3 year old. It has real wood blocks with decals on each side. They include animals, fruits, numbers, shapes and ‘dice’ dots. It’s a random collection of decals. But they are cute. The blocks have sharp edges – they aren’t rounded on the corners. This makes them slightly less like lacing beads. But it does mean they are easy to stack like blocks. We can stack over 20 of them into a big tower. So there are multiple ways to play with this set.The weak link are the strings. They are really poor quality. They do not have a stopper at the end. So I double knotted one end so we could string this up like a necklace. When I went to take the not out, the colored sheath around the core of the string started separating, getting little holes and becoming fuzzy. These definitely will not last and will end up all fuzzy and pilly. It would also be nice if it had some sort of clamp you could put on the end to stop the blocks or to make a big string. Like I said, I knotted them but it’s going to end up ruining the strings. It has a storage box which is a plus. But there is no lid so you’ll have to make sure to store horizontal and not bump it.

Not my favorite Melissa & Toy
We love Melissa & Doug toys for how simple and educational they are but this one was a little bit of a miss for us. My daughter and son love Blues Clues and my son is working on colors while my daughter is working with patterns. The task cards are great as they give a sense of direction and purpose. However, the biggest miss for us was the fact that when it’s toddlers looping the wooden blocks through the laces, it’s like a necklace but it just ends up pulling out or sliding off which…as you can imagine is very frustrating for a 3 year old. It doesn’t tie like a necklace or have a stopper or anything at the end of the lace. Hopefully more practice will ease this frustration for my daughter.

Total Hit
My 5 and 2.5 year old have so much fun stringing these beads on. There are enough pieces that they don’t fight over stuff (most of the time anyways). My 5 year old likes following the suggested patterns, but they both enjoy doing their own thing as well. My 2.5 year old also enjoys just playing with the blocks and stacking them as high as she can.

Educational.
I purchased this set for my 2.5-year-old nephew. He loves to play it.1.It is perfect to help him practice small motor skills.2.The beads are big enough for little hands.3.It is educational. You can learn shapes, numbers, patterns, counting, sorting, sequencing, and so on.4.For little kids, the beads will fall off easily form the other side of the strings. It would help if there is a big knot on one side of the string.5.The storage box helps kids clean up easily after playing.Recommend!

Superior quality. Great for learning colors, shapes, numbers, patterns
You cannot go wrong with Melissa and Doug! Their quality of products surpasses most other toy brands in my opinion. And this set is no different. It arrived quickly and was well protected in transit. It comes in the classic wooden tray with Melissa and Doug branding, and would make a perfect gift. It is exactly as pictured and described, and is a perfect learning toy for young children working on colors, shapes, numbers, and patterns. Such great quality. Highly recommend!!

Learning toy
The strings could be of higher quality, but overall it’s a nice set. I like that it comes with pattern cards so the kids have something to follow. It works better for us to knot one end of the string so the beads don’t fall off.

Great toy to improve dexterity
This toy set is great for little hands to practice coordination and dexterity in lacing up the wooden blocks to the strings provided. Each block is glazed/polished, and features numbers, shapes, houses, or even dots that they can count. Great to match up the colors; or have them practice counting the dots and finding the corresponding number block.Sort of wish the wooden storage box has a cover so the blocks can be a bit more contained though.

Great bead set for little hands
Small hands need bigger beads, and this set fills that need. Well made for the modest cost. Nice lacing material included. Easy to play with and great for improving hand/eye coordination as well as dexterity.

Toys as Learning Tools
We like Melissa and Doug toys because they are fun and bright and colorful — and they’re learning tools. Here kids learn to count in many ways, conceptualize shapes and geometry, think about color, and use their hands to assemble things. It’s a craft set and a math set and an art set all in one.Nice materials and well made.

The media could not be loaded.

Bello, ben fatto e realizzato, intelligente. Gioco intelligente, regalo intelligente.
