Pictures started peeling
After about a month of use and my child often putting it in their mouth the pictures have started peeling. We still enjoy the product otherwise.

Melissa and Doug is the new Fisher Price
When my kids were young, we relied on Fisher Price toys for durability, quality and age appropriateness. Today’s moms can rely on Melissa and Doug. The puzzle is durable, has easy to grasp pieces, is colorful and appropriate for young toddlers.

Super engaging.
This puzzle keeps my grandchild interested and engaged. She is challenged to fine-tune her coordination when placing the pieces in the puzzle. Identifying the animals and the sounds they make are great fun for her.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND: Sturdy and toddler-appropriate
My 1.5 year old loves this as his first puzzle. The pieces have held up: he throws the pieces, gives them to dogs, and bites them (ah, toddler life); the pieces still fit in the puzzle nicely! The paint does not chip off, the pieces do not get warped by toddler/dog slobber, and this has been his favorite toy for weeks. I recommend this product for any toddler parent.

I bought several of these type of puzzle (same brand) and I can’t tell if they’re damaged, defective, or different version made this way.The listing and image on the back shows no “seams/cracks” between puzzle pieces. The reviewed images shows a mix of one with and without “seams/cracks”.The ones with

My child’s new favorite toy
I bought this item with several others toys to refresh our child’s toys for learning and development and this has been her favorite so far. The nobs are the perfect size for her little hands. The pictures behind the animals are great for her to match the pictures. Very durable and great quality. I have bought several others like this since receiving this one.

Not recommend for baby
My baby is 1 year old. He will bite it when I give it to him. The pattern and wood are easy to be broken when the baby bite it. I’m not recommend the baby who love to bite to play it.

Perfect Toddler Puzzle.
My baby loves this puzzle so very much. She has had it for months now and it is challenging enough for her at 18 months. The pegs are fantastic for little hands and she will play with these peg puzzles before she goes for any other kind. We love the farm theme as a family so this fits well. It also helps when it comes to naming things and making sounds with baby. Don’t forget to sing “Old McDonald” with your toddler while playing this! My only wish was that this held up better when it gets wet, from sippy cup spills! The lamenant on it peels up something fierce!

Perfect for my 20 month old and her older friends
This puzzle keeps my daughter hooked every day for ten minutes and the sense of accomplishment she feels every time she fits them correctly is so fulfilling to watch. It took her a couple days to get it, after which she has been fascinated about fitting the pieces back in. I love the jumbo knob idea.. it is so easy for her to hold with either hands. The bonus is how much the toy attracts her friends.. who are a little close to two years, over two years and three years. Even the three year old kid has been engaged with this toy longer than I expected. A great toy for ages suggested.

Helps to Learn Animal Sounds Too
These are great for learning animals and the sounds they make. You have to supply the sounds 🙂 These puzzles are really well made and will last through a 2 year old’s toss around the room. The little handles one each puzzle piece are invaluable for little hands. At first it was a little difficult for our son to get the shapes in their corresponding holes. However, this actually helped with his manual dexterity and allowed us to work with him to explain how he needed to turn the pieces till they fit. After a short period of time, this was not an issue any longer and the pieces were going right into place.

A favorite toy
This is a household favorite of our baby, who is just under 8 months. She pulls the pieces out easily and bangs them together. With each piece we make the noise of the animal, (many of which coincide with her favorite book – Moo Baa La La La by Sandra Boynton) and she loves it. The stickers seem pretty sensitive to moisture and the edges have faded a bit where she has sucked on them (or where I have maybe cleaned them a bit too much), but beyond that, I highly recommend this toy for every little one out there. It’s safe, healthy fun old school style (no plastic, electronics, lights, flashy things! What a relief!) P.S. She likes the pieces so much that we will even grab a few for her to play with when we are on the go.

Little hands friendly!
We love M&D and these puzzles are great for your littles! Our toddler can easily get ahold of them and has started to master the fun of putting the pieces in their places 🙂 I love that these puzzles are so thick because they stand up so much better to little hands!

Great
This is a good puzzle. The quality is better than other Melissa and Doug puzzles. My son is 20 months. Likes to take them out. He’ll try to put them back but is successful once in awhile.

Great beginner puzzle!
Not only does my son love Melissa & Doug toys, but he also loves farms! So when I saw this puzzle, I knew I had to get it for my son who was 18 mo at the time. He loves this puzzle. He would do it over and over again. The knobs make the pieces easy to hold in his little hands, the animals fit into their respective spots easily without causing him any unnecessary frustration. Not only does it work on his fine motor skills of completing a puzzle, but we also use it as a tool to work on his vocabulary words. High recommend for those of you with children just starting to show interest in puzzles.

Splinters
I specifically got these puzzles for my son since they’re the ones he uses in therapy and he loves them! Be careful opening them I got a huge splinter in my thumb though, double and triple check the edges of each piece before handing them to your little ones.

Wonderful puzzle for little ones
This is the perfect puzzle for my daughter, who just turned one. Very bright and colorful pieces, and they did a terrific job painting the animals and farmer. My favorite part is the size of the knob handles, which makes it easy for my daughter to lift up and put the pieces back. We’ve had this for about two months now and have had no issues yet, but I am a bit concerned about the longevity of this puzzle. It is not solid wood but 3 layers of wood glued together, and I can foresee this being a problem as it gets more and more use. There are also deep lines in between the animals on the surface where the jigsaw cut the pieces out, and I worry about the design flaking off the top layer of wood in these weak areas. Overall it’s a fantastic puzzle for little ones, but I’m not expecting it to last forever.

Very nice!!! DEFINITELY recommend
Got this for my gr8 nephew for Christmas. He’s 9 months old and he immediately picked up the pieces. The knob is perfect for little hands/fingers. He also immediately stuck it in his mouth and it’s sturdy enough that it lol like it’ll hold up to that. It’s also great for teaching animals as he plays with it. Very pleased!!!
