We love this little pup!
We bought this for my 14 month old for Christmas, and it took her a little practice to get the hang of it, but she did and it’s the cutest thing to watch her take it for a walk. She’s now 2 and still loves it and really gets on the move with her puppy friend! Adorable toy, well- made, and worth the money. One of my favorite toys we’ve purchased her so far.

She loves it
The dog came neatly packaged and looking amazing straight out the box. My daughter walks up and down the house with this dog along by her sid. The tail actually wiggles when she walks and she goes nowhere without it. The seller was amazing and i will do business with them again in the future. I recommend this dog to any one looking for a walk along.

Quality pull toy
Gave this little dog to my grandson when he was 1. He enjoyed pulling it around the house. The quality was great and quite sturdy. It fell over a lot, but he would just set it back up and pull some more.

Classic toy
I got this for my granddaughter when she was 1 yr. She is 4 and she still plays with it (she brought it to the grocery store with us today). I also got one for my grandniece recently, she is 18 months and she instantly loved it. It is engaging for a range of ages and the kind of toy that will get passed on to the next generation.

Fun and Adorable
Such a great toy for a little kid. This dog does not poop anywhere, does not shed anywhere, does not require anything more than some loving from a little girl or boy! Happy MOMMMYYY!!! haha! Not that I am not an animal lover, because I really do love all animals, but this was the best alternative to having a real doggy in the house! lol

Cute and fun!
This arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I’ve wanted one of these pull-alongs for my toddler for a while. It’s really cute and seems well made. The little tail wags and the head kind of bobs along as you walk. I wish that the string had a little bead or something on the end to hold but it would probably be a choking hazard so I understand why it doesn’t. My little guy is 2+ yrs (26 months) and he loved pulling it around the house and making loops around the dining table.

looks ARE deceiving
i think mine is defected, it wobbles in the back and doesn’t walk right? the wheels in the front are fine and straight but the back “legs” metal wire is crooked and makes the dog wobble an odd way. my hubby says it looks like its done on purpose so the tail can waddle but i don’t think it looks right? would have wanted to return it but my whole package didn’t come with a return able or even a receipt? did i miss something Sah Creatives? also the photo shows that the head is up, so i assumed the dogs head is up at all the times, but NOPE, the head is constantly down dragged on the floor the ears cover its eyes and smile/most of its face so thats a disappointment too.my 2 year old son can’t tell the difference between any of the defects so its a win for him, he drags it around our hard wood floors and loves it so i might at well keep our “special” pup

Super great
This is such a great toy! My twins got it when they were less than a year old. They are now almost four and I was surprised to see them rolling the doggy into church with them on Sunday. The dog is sturdy, whimsical, cute, and does a find job of engaging kids with mechanical and engineering minds, too! I’m so glad we have this … in fact, I needed to buy a second one and was completely happy to do so.

Cute, but could use a better string
Super cute, my 2 year old loves it. I wish the pull string had something on the end to hold on to, though. It’s hard to grasp it sometimes. I also wish the string was longer but I suppose it’s short for safety reasons.Edit: after one year, this has completely fallen apart.

Great toy!
Bought this some time ago for my granddaughter. It has worked well, and she loves walking her “dog”. Construction seems to be very good, and still working to date. I did have to extend the pull string with a ribbon for best walking length. This was age appropriate and again, the child likes it very much. Purchased this again for a great niece as it was so well liked by my grand babe. I like that it encourages them to walk and have fun. Lovely toy.

Very well built!
My 22 month old son is OBSESSED with this toy dog. We’ve had it for about 2 months now and he still drags it with him to the grocery store and every appointment. I personally love it. I think it’s well built and absolutely adorable and easy to play with. My son at first got frustrated that the dog would tip over when he tried pulling the dog too sharply but he eventually figured it out (an age thing) and most of the time just pushes him with his hand.

No just for Tiny Babies, Great Toy, Well Built, fun to Watch
So I told my wife I got an old school wooden dog on a string, as I was laughing thinking what was I doing our son is 18 months old but big and smart like a 3 year old, I was thinking he will never walk around with this thing! I Was wrong and it was the cutest thing ever to see my beast of a baby walk his wooden puppy, we have to large Pitbulls who he loves and rough houses with but this puppy made him happy and he walked it for most of Christmas Morning he even had me get a dog treat to give to his new puppy, the puppy has great movement, strings longer than I thought I would be so that’s good, it’s sturdy it does fall on sharp turns but balanced well for how skinny it is. To see him Christmas day with that dog was worth it to me if he never touched it again and great toy to hand down to other kids because it’s built very well and will last like the old ones did.

quality toy
Just got this last night and I had to open the box! I had seen this on our trip to France but due to luggage issues (the lack thereof) sadly did not purchase this item so happy to have found it on Sah Creatives (of course). This toy is so well made!!! Every part is moveable. The tail wags when you ‘walk’ the dog (the back wheels are angled in a way that it oscillates the rear which shakes the tail in a wagging motion -tail is made of a rubber material attached to it’s rear and the wooden red part of the tail) My LO (11 months) has already started ‘walking’ her dog after I showed her this morning. (she started walking at 10 mths) She likes to grab it by the tail (smallest part of the puppy and fits nicely in the palm of her hand) and carries it this way but it seems very sturdy. We will see how it holds up over time. The wheels have a rubber edge that keep it on the floor. A gentle pull and the head moves up and down with the ears swinging along. Positioning the puppy by pulling and maneuvering the string takes coordination but easily doable, something that should hopefully keep her occupied for a while. 🙂 I was able to show my LO how to do the different positions using the string and she was attempting to pull and push the puppy as such in no time at all. It is a solid piece but light enough that she has no problems walking and carrying it in one hand (again holding the tail). such a wonderful and QUIET toy (except for it being dropped on occasion onto my wooden floor…) maybe now she would leave our actual dogs alone…

Cute, but watch for splinters!
I bought this for my 1 year old. He loves it! However, within a day, we noticed some of the wood was chipped on the puppy’s tail and it was sharp. It was probably that way when we opened the box, but didn’t notice till it snagged on fabric. Nothing a little sandpaper and a blue sharpie couldn’t fix, but just annoying to have to fix it. Just make sure you inspect it before giving it to your kids.Otherwise, my boys really love this toy!

Very cute
Silly people who complain about a bent rear wheel and it being wobbly.. it’s supposed to be bent so that the dog wobbles slightly making its tail wag

Not sturdy looking
Gave this as a gift for a 1 year old girl. Cute dog but doesn’t seem very sturdy. Disappointed that the dogs head is down unless pulled by the (string) leash.

The string is a strangle hazard
I bought this for my 15 mo old grand son. The age on the toy says for 12+ mos. He was playing fine with it but I did notice he liked putting the string over the back of his neck. Once I looked over and noticed the string was completely around his neck with the dog hanging down. I cut the string to a length of about 6 inches. So he can still pull it but it can’t wrap around his neck.

Well made
Toddler Approved. Wish the cord was longer and had some type of ball or soft object handle on the end to provide a grip for smaller hands to pull the line

Short string but incredibly durable
Each of my kids have a puppy pull-along that they love. These are great for around the house and outside – they’ve been around the block 10+ times and ware like rollerblades (that is to say they scuff but in a good way). The only complaint I have is that the string isn’t very long and doesn’t have anything to grasp – it’s just a string (and a short one at that). We added a key ring at the end and solved the problem though.

Great toy!
My 6 month old loves watching us pull the puppy! I imagine when he gets a bit older and can pull it himself he will love it even more.Tip: I was frustrated with this toy at first because it kept falling over when I would pull it. I have 2 tips that solved the issue: 1) Use on solid flooring (ie hard wood) and not carpet, and 2) use the string to lift the puppy onto his hind legs only while turning (I found that it was very hard to turn when I left the front wheels down). I hope this helps others! Highly recommend for 6+ months (or even younger) as it is fun to watch!

Three years later, it’s still a favorite!
Bought the red version for my oldest 3 years ago and she still takes it on walks around the neighborhood and the house! Youngest got jealous so she received the blue one and plays with it just as much. Other than the fact it’s been colored over the years it still functions and looks like the day we got it!

Great design!
Super cute toy! I love it. The back wheels are purposefully wonky so that it makes the dog’s butt wiggle and his tail wag as he rolls around the floor. Its cute in person and the design is very impressive. It’s a simple wood toy but the design is really good so the dog can scoot in the back legs, sit up – I love how the ears slide forward when the head is down so it looks like he’s sniffing the ground, but then slide back as he looks up. Just really well made. So I love it.My 1 year old has mixed feelings, lol. She loves when I move it in all the cute ways but I think she gets frustrated that he flops over sideways when she pulls the string. I think it’ll be a toy that grows on her as she gets more and better mobility. Probably great for 2yrs+

Kinda small (my fault for not reading the details) but also very wobbly.

This wobbly dog is a character!
I bought this toy June 2016, and I can say it has been around the block a few times with the way the little one treats it! The wobble is intentional, and I love it. I think it brings it a lot of character to it. Plus, it rolls so nicely on all surfaces. Anyone complaining about this is missing out on the character it can be. The now two year old plays ‘check-up’ with this toy– hysterical! He loves to be chased by this dog toy and he never had much of an issue with it besides learning how to use it. It’s a very solid toy– I landed the back of my head on it, something I don’t recommend, and nothing happened to it. I love that you can make it ‘sit’ and the fact the head moves up and down can give it a lot of character. Such an interactive, well built toy. Would definitely recommend, along with other Hape brand toys. We all love playing with it too!

So Cute!
This is such a cute pull toy. Purchased for my 14-month-old son for his Easter present from mom and dad. He is obsessed with doggies and thought it would be the perfect toy for him now that he is walking and more stable when doing so. Unfortunately, he does not care about this toy at all! Hopefully, it is a toy he will grow to love because it is so cute and well made!

Great gift!
Bought this “puppy” as part of my grandson’s 1-year old birthday present! He loves it!! Didn’t take him long to get the hang of picking up the string and walking “Pepe” around the downstairs of the house. It is a sturdy wooden toy, and very cute the way the pieces move, including the tail that wags! Great goft!

Well made solid toy that will last for years
Bought this toy for my grandson’s second birthday. He loves it. “Puppy” is now a favorite toy and has it’s own special place in his room that it stays when he is not playing with it.This is not just any old pull toy but a well made, sturdy item with bright colors, smooth rolling wheels and the ability to sit. The first time I had it sit for my grandson he was thrilled and immediately wanted to learn how to make puppy sit.I am so happy that I purchased this for him and know that he will enjoy many happy adventures with Puppy .

Amazing toy!
This is the best toy ever. I got it for my daughter when she was 1. She is now 20 months and it has gone everywhere with her. It is definitely getting worn down around the paint but this dog had put in around 300 miles. Very sturdy. Great quality. We get so many compliments too! Love that it’s wooden also.

Cute but not great
Cute toy overall and terrific if being pulled in a straight line but the problem is that it falls over easily when the child wants to turn. My kid isn’t very interested in it

Good quality but won’t recommend
I care about environment and I bought this wooden puppy toy for my 1 year old. The quality is great. It’s sturdy, color won’t chip off. But it falls on sides when my boy is actually playing with it. It was never on its wheels. If we dragged it slowly, with no sharp turns, then it stays right.. which never happens when babies play . Little disappointed with this purchase

Great potential, design flaws
Item is very cute, but design not quite right. If a child pulls the dog, can only see a bare wooden top and wagging tail. The face and design are all on the sides. It looks a bit odd because the string is attached to tip of nose. It really has a cute wobble and tail though. Disappointed when reading box designed in Germany, sold from Canada, made in China as all toys are these days. Also, the written description in English on box says “Children will love talking him for a walk” so bad typo on a kid’s gift.

A Wonderful Christmas gift for a Toddler
My 1.5-year-old daughter first saw this wooden puppy in a local park from another kid. She held onto it so tight and refused to return it, and that is when I realized I need to get her one of her own. It took me a little search to find the right one, and ever since she got her own puppy, she showers with it, sleeps with it, and eats with it. Virtually go anywhere with her buddy. That is when I know I got her the perfect Christmas gift for the year.

2yr old’s new favorite toy
Wasn’t sure my son would care too much about this toy, but it is easily his new favorite. He loves pulling it all around the house or even ignoring the string and just moving the body around like his other animals. Seems very sturdy so far. Would order again!

Cute dog!
Perfect for toddlers who like walk along with a rope toys. Although, its head is a bit droped and you should keep the rope stretched up to keep its head high.
