Smooth and clean finish, appear to be similar quality to name brand
These generic wooden train rails have a nice, smooth, clean finish to them that are comparable to name brand versions. This makes it a very nice add-on for building more elaborate and longer track layouts. Although I feel the pricing on these could be a little better for this generic product, it does feel to be quality materials and manufacturing.

Great wooden play set
This is a nice little wooden train set. The kids love it and it’s just used stand alone and they are very entertained. The pieces feel well cut and polished and connect well enough for playtime. Each track piece can be used right side up or upside down making it very versatile play.

Wow!
This is a really large set for the price. My only wish was that it came with another car or two. Every single piece fits together well, and it reversible with grooves on both sides. An incredible value that compares to other brands. My preschooler will be able to put the pieces together easily, unlike other plastic tracks we own that don’t get played with as often because of that difficulty.

Delightful! Why we want grandchildren!
It’s because we mostly cannot get down on the floor easily (darn it!) but we can watch our young ones, children of our children, have a great time with a toy like this. And of course, offer all kinds of advice (smile)! The kids’ dad or mom also will happily get down to help them construct the track and will get a kick out of helping them play. I think children of four and five will soon understand the mechanics of the thing, how to make hills and valleys and over and underpasses, and how to make the Little Engine That Could whiz along. The set is constructed of solid wood and is well machined so each piece works with the others and will not injure little hands. What delighted me was realizing that a play set called Dinosaur Train Set also runs well on this track, having the same “gauge”. And BTW, the toy engine included with the track is also magnetic. A great gift for young and not-so-young children!

Just like the thomas tracks
My boys love building with my 20+ year old thomas the train engine set and these connected right up and gave my boys even more to build and play with!

Compatible. Worth the money!
1.They are compatible with my Thomas & Friends wooden railway tracks and another not-name-brand kit. All of them can be connected easily.2.The trains run smoothly on them.3.This kit includes straight tracks, curve tracks, switch tracks, and ascending riser tracks. My 6-year-old daughter and 2.5-year-old son love to play them and they can build different types.

Perfect size
This was the perfect size track set for my toddler. She is able to put it together herself for the most part(she’s 3.5) and the little train sort of stays on the track well. The pieces fit nicely, but are also able to come apart easily. The bridge portions are nice, but fall off the blocks that hold them up pretty easily. All in all, nice little set.

Solid Set with Lots of Track
We got this as an expansion set for our train-loving three-year-old, who has a few sets that have more frills, but not nearly as many pieces. This was a great addition for that purpose – it’s compatible with the other sets we have, but adds a whole lot more pieces. While the set is basically “nothing but track” (and one locomotive) it includes several pieces that weren’t in his other sets, including a railroad crossing and supports for extended bridges that let him be even more creative with his track layouts, which he enjoys.

The best brio dupe I’ve received.
I feel like Sah Creatives hit a home run with this set. These are hands down the best brio “dupe” I have ever received. They fit together with our brick sets flawlessly. Similiar in weight, fantastic quality, and the price is outstanding. It passed my four year old track inspectors rigorous inspection, train didn’t detail one, I received a far exceeds on my track design that evening. Y’all outdid yourselves with this one. Highly recommend!

Very Well Made and Fun
This is a very well made track set that is compatible with other track and train sets. The number of pieces is extensive and allows for many different track set-ups…all stimulating, developmental and fun for young minds. All the pieces were smooth and well finished; no splinters. The wheel grooves are smooth and train cars travel over them easily. The only drawback is that the bridge support pieces (blocks) are a bit short; some taller cars (like some locomotives) do not have enough clearance. This was easily remedied by placing an extra piece of track anther the supports to raise them up.Both grand kids love it (ages 6yrs and 18mos).

Great value and good quality
This set is compatible with my daughter’s Hape train set. The pieces are visibly lower in quality than the Hape pieces, but they are still decent – uniform shapes, no splintery edges. This set also has more pieces at a lower price than any other expansion sets I saw. I definitely recommend it!

Works with other wooden tracks
We had a small wooden train track set that could only be configured into a small oval or a figure 8. This additional set has given our son endless possibilities for the tracks, and he LOVES coming up with different paths for his trains to follow around our house. This set seems to work well enough with our other set, although it might be just slightly looser at the joints. Either way, we’re having lots of fun with it!

Amazing quality and detail
We own a Doug and melissa train set, and this Sah Creatives set is compatible. A cheaper version to really extend the fun for “miles”. A must have…

Excellent train set!
I have a confession. I am a dad, and I think I enjoy these train sets more than my kids do. Every time I spot a good deal for one, I get it. Now I’ve got a giant plastic tote full of wooden train tracks. I enjoy spending hours with my kids building elaborate train sets that fill up the whole living room, much to my wife’s chagrin. This set has been nice because it comes with all the pieces necessary to build its’ own circuit. It also plays well with other brands, so I can include these pieces with my ever-expanding grand train tracks! I’ve found some brands have much tighter tolerances than others, which means they’re difficult to fit together. Sometimes the tongues are too fat or the grooves too tight. These have a looser tolerance so they’re not choosy with what they’ll work with. These would be a great addition to your set!

Real wood, many varied pieces, expanded fun
These track pieces are intended to be compatible with “standard” wooden toy trains and track sets. That said, our toy collection these days is not what it used to be, since the empty nest is only occasionally hosting toddlers (so no other tracks to mate test with these). All in all, the individual pieces are nicely finished, smooth and attractive. For better or worse, however, their mating ends connect a bit looser than I expect. This causes a less attractive look when mated but should result in a better chance of interconnecting other manufacturer’s tracks. It also allows sections of assembled track to “fudge” and fit, still operational in a way precisely joined pieces could not.Note that wheel grooves are on both sides of pieces which curve, which can then be flipped as needed to give left or right path (probably a standard for all wood toy train tracks, but there’s no harm in being assured). The layout I made to photograph was intended to attach all pieces in the set (just out of frame is a “switch” type track element which is just appended on a goes-nowhere spur); which I accomplished with no formal planning. The little painted wood locomotive has no issue riding the assemblage. It was individually wrapped to protect it in the box, but its painted surfaces appear a little thin or slightly worn. Its coupler metallic button is magnetic (cannot be sure how strong) and reflects its need for cars to pull. Of course, this isn’t a train set, per se, so other cars would come from other sets.Good, creative fun for the little folk!

Very basic, but sturdy and compatible with other train sets
This train set is sturdy, well made, and includes a lot of useful pieces. It only includes 1 train engine and no cars, which is a little disappointing. It also doesn’t include any other aesthetic pieces, like trees, people, it train stations. That doesn’t diminish that it IS decent quality and it has everything needed to make a pretty elaborate track. I think though that this set is designed less to be a train set in it’s own than it is designed to expand on already existing train sets.My daughter is less than 2, so we haven’t gotten much use out of it yet, she mostly just tears whatever I’ve built apart. But this WILL work fine as a standalone set, it just won’t be very aesthetic.

Very basic, but good as a starter or to expand another set
Very easy to set up in whatever configuration you want, even a figure 8 since it has ramps. The fit between track sections is a little loose so if you are setting it up on carpet it may come apart on it’s own as it’s being used, but that also means it is very easy to take apart to put away when it is done being used. It’s best to set this up on hard floors or lay down some cardboard or plywood over the carpet to set it up on, but aside from that the track sections seem well made and I did not notice any rough spots on the finish like I expected after looking at other reviews. This would be fine as a starter set or to add more track to an existing set, but since it only includes one engine and no cars you will need to purchase more if you plan on using this set on it’s own.

Good for extra track
This is a great way to pick up a lot of inexpensive extra track for use with the name brand wood train sets. The pieces fit together a little more loosely, but they still hold fine – my kid picked up a 4′ section of track and was waving it around without parts falling off of it.My set came with these pieces:13x short curve11x long straight10x short straight10x long curve9x elevated track supports4x ramps2x MMF Y pieces2x FFM Y pieces2x MM pieces2x FF piece1x crossover (this is actually 2 pieces that fit together)1x Train carThis review was for “Sah Creatives Basics FSC Certified 65-Piece Wooden Train Railway Construction Kit”

A very affordable alternative!
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this track set, but I’m pleasantly surprised at the quality. The “fit & finish” aren’t quite as refined as the famous name brand, but it’s so much cheaper and plenty good enough for fun kid play. The different pieces are consistent in size and fit together well (though a bit looser than the fancy ones). I recommend checking the cut “knob” ends before use for any rough edges or splinters, just in case. This is a very basic set….just a collection of track pieces and one train car. So it’s best used as a complement to a more full-featured set. Fortunately, most of this style of wooden train tracks are a standard size and they all work together, so don’t worry about mixing and matching.Recommended!

Great Expansion Set
I love building big complex train tracks with our kids (2 & 5 years old). I’ve purchased some cheap wooden track sets from unknown brands and they’re never good quality. They chip and splinter and have sharp points. These Sah Creatives tracks are as good as any name brand. I have not had any issues with splinters or sharp points. They fit well with our other tracks. This set comes with a lot of elevated track supports and a cross piece, which we didn’t have at all before. The only negative is I didn’t realize how short the tracks are in this set- though there are a lot of pieces, it covers less ground than I expected since they’re not as long as most of our other pieces.

A lot of track at a good price.
This is more of an add-on set, with bridge approaches, elevated supports, Y tracks and an intersection. The track fits with name brand and other sets that I have. Standard straight and curved pieces are included, as well as short straights and curves that make unusual layouts possible. The hardwood track is sanded and polished, and doesn’t appear to have an applied finish. This is a large add-on set at a good price. The single locomotive allows it to be used as is. Combining it with an existing set really expands layout possibilities.

Nice way to stock up on the basic track pieces
If you’re looking for a way to get a bunch of basic track pieces, then this is definitely a decent option. I like that it comes with plenty of the bridge support pieces, because it seems like there are never enough of those. It also had 1 set of crossroad pieces so your track can cross over on itself and it has several piece that are double male and double female to close off loops nicely. The little engine that comes with it is cute and appears to be well-made. Overall, I am quite pleased with this product.

Awesome wooden train railway set.
So many train track pieces. This is a great set. It came with one train but we have more that work on this track. I have not assembled it yet because I will let my grandsons help me do this. They are excited to come over and put this together. I like the smooth finish on the tracks and there are many pieces to hold up bridges. Just very happy with this train track set.

GREAT SET!
This is such a great set! The wooden pieces all fit together perfectly, and the little train is the cutest. There are lots of pieces in the box, which has given my kid hours of playtime with just this one set. This is a great starter set and we can’t wait to continue to add to it.

Basic track with good connections.
I actually ordered this not as a stand alone but to use the pieces to add to an existing track. These tracks are compatible with Hage and I look forward to making a huge track

Versatile and high quality wooden tracks
Beautiful wooden train tracks. It comes with a little wooden train as well. The tracks are polished and no splinters. This track set works perfectly with my B. Toys train set. My son enjoys playing with track set and loves to plan and build the tracks for his collection of trains.

great
gives you all you need to build a great train track, tons of pieces, good sturdy wooden tracks, compatible with other sets and exactly as described and pictured, a good expansion option just wish they had different pieces with the set and maybe a few trains

Simple, but well made
It’s pretty standard wooden train track. The wood quality is nice and the grooves are even. Pieces all fit together very well and my son’s trains run nicely on them. A good selection of pieces and connectors. The price makes this a great value for getting a solid 65 piece set.

Good amount of pieces
The track pieces fit together well and the wood is durable. It comes with multiple pieces so your child can be creative and imaginative. There’s many blocks to be able to build bridges or a high rise part of the track. It also comes with a train.
