Deceptively challenging
Colorful. High quality. Arrived in a nice box with an additional storage bag. 42 pieces is enough to build with. My 5-yr-old enjoyed these. The texture of the blocks is such that you can pair them with playdoh or, in our case “Floof,” and they simply wipe clean— many other blocks would be ruined. The combination of these blocks, a sensory material, and small figurines will have your preschooler or kindergartener building magical cities galore. Balancing these blocks is challenging but my daughter enjoyed standing them side-by-side to build walls and pens.

Great Set!
This is a really nice set of stacking rocks. The colors are especially vibrant. My Grandkids love collecting rocks outside, so it’s very nice to have some indoor “rocks” for them to play with. I love the included bag for storage. Love this product and would recommend.

Not the best blocks
I bought these for a toddler, but my youngest (7 years old) also played with them, and neither kid seemed to love them. The colors are cute and the shapes are fun, but you really can’t build anything out of them because of the unusual shapes. We had fun making a tower and then knocking it down, but that was it. Comparatively, we have another large set of blocks that has lots of squares and rectangles and triangles, and my 7 yr old has spent hours building houses and roads and garages and castles… you can’t do that with these. Taking the list price into consideration and how quickly the 2 kids were bored, I’d suggest a better block set.

Bright colors. Lightweight blocks.
A fun product! I look forward to watching my kids play with these. Bold, bright colors. Lots of different shapes and sizes. Lightweight enough that it won’t hurt a baby as it crashes down. The multi faceted pieces allow for so much creativity when building – and a lot more chances of success for kids figuring it out. It makes it more of an open ended toy rather than there is only one way to connect standard blocks. As a mother, I recommend this product.

Very nice blocks but smaller than wanted
Excellent quality blocks. Smooth and well painted. Purchased for our 18 month old, but felt they were too small. Possible choking issue with a few of the pieces. We returned them.

So much fun!
These are the perfect size for small hands. They are brightly colored and so much fun to play with. They encourage fine motor skills, spatial awareness and balance while letting my kiddos explore their creativity. I’m very happy with these.

Great Blocks, Some Smaller than Expected
Although these rock-shaped wood blocks are a nice set of solid wood building blocks, they are a bit smaller than I was expecting. They are rated for 12 months and older, but some of the smaller blocks seem small enough that you may want to supervise your younger child with them. But in general these are nice blocks.

Super Fun Blocks
These are great blocks! They take care to stack in lots of fun ways. It is high engagement for the kiddos as they have to figure out how to balance each of them. They are wooden and feel quality. Time will tell how the color holds up, but as of now they are a great toy.

Make sure all 42 pieces are there
When I opened up my Sah Creatives package, I noticed the stacking box was opened. I counted the pieces because it did not look like 42 pieces. There was only 25 in it. So make sure its sealed, not opened & all pieces are there.

*Brightly-colored, fun stacking toy!*
I got these for my 8-year old son since he enjoys building types of toys, & stacking things like a tower to see how high he can go before it falls, etc…so these are fun for even an older child if they’re into this type of toy/activity! 🙂 We had fun playing with them together since it does get more challenging the higher you stack the blocks, & the smaller blocks make it more challenging as well. So you can turn it into a game seeing who can stack the highest! We laughed a lot when they’d all come tumbling down & we used these with another set of stacking blocks I ordered on Sah Creatives that are pastel colors & came with little mini dinosaurs, so we’d see who could stack the tallest tower & set a little dino on top without it falling! It’s more challenging than you might think, so it’s actually fun for an adult to play this with their child! :DWe’d use the colors of the blocks to make different things with them too…like a “rainbow mountain” of blocks or making stacks using our favorite colors & seeing who could get their stack of favorite colors the highest, etc. We used some of them with his train set to create “colored rock” areas around his train track & then he’d have a pile of the rocks fall onto his train track like a “landslide,” etc.So they can also be incorporated into other toy sets as being “rocks” if your child uses their creativity & imagination! 🙂 My son also has dinosaurs, so these can be used to make a colorful rock area for dinosaurs, etc.I think having more than one set of these stacking blocks is a good idea, so then you have more blocks to make a few stacks with at a time & have more variety in shapes & colors if you have more than one child playing with these at once. The other set of stacking blocks I got didn’t have any of the larger, flat stones like this set has…or the large, tall stones this set has…which are neat, unique shapes that also help you make taller or sturdier stacks. My son thought the 2 green (well, “poop” looking kind of blocks) in this set look kind of like “poop emojis” so he thought those were pretty funny to use too, lol! Some of the blocks ARE a bit small for toddlers…so I’d either only use them with a toddler while supervising them, or save them for when your child is 4-5 years old instead & not putting things in their mouth all the time anymore or chewing on toys like toddlers of course do. Like I said, my son just turned 8 not that long ago & even at that age he enjoys them & so do I! 😀

Creative Challanging set of blocks
These are a little more challenging to stack and balance than I had thought, but what a fun on-going challenge for children (and adults :D), great for honing in on refining their dexterity and extra fine motor skills. And these are generally just fun shapes and colors. The blocks feel nice in the hand. The finish seems durable, and easy to wipe clean. My only complaint is the “storage bag” provided with the set, it’s just a plastic bag with a drawstring. The bag does have some holes punched in it, but generally it is a good idea to keep plastic bags away from children. I would have suggested a cloth or mesh zipper bag for this set instead. The blocks are nice and unique though. If your child enjoys stacking blocks, and needs an added challenge, I recommend this set!

Great Inexpensive Wooden Set, but Paint Chipped
So this is a pretty inexpensive set of Montessori blocks. They are wood, appears to be beech. One arrived cracked so I busted it open to verify. The kids loooove them and they’re really fun, well-balanced set. Lots of different angles and sizes. Some of the smaller blocks I wouldn’t trust around my younger nephew, as they’re a tempting size for kids to put in their mouth. My reason for dropping a star is durability. We have a hardwood floor and a couple of blocks fell out of the box as the kids were so excited for a new set. The blocks were damaged and paint was chipped after one very small fall (less than 3 feet). Doesn’t bode well for the durability we’re used to with other Montessori blocks. But for the price, a solid set.

Smaller Than Expected
These are bright, colorful blocks but they’re smaller than expected. Many aren’t much bigger than a K-cup (see photo). I guess this could actually be good for very young toddlers as their dexterity and fine motor skills may not be sufficient to manipulate larger blocks. Note that the storage bag that comes with these is sub-optimal and not of much use. I’m also hoping that the paint doesn’t chip over time. For now I think they’re fine, and the littles will enjoy playing with them.

Keep an Eye on Toddlers
This was listed as being a toy for 1-3 year olds, so I got these for my nieces and nephews to play with when they came over. The blocks did not disappoint. All the kids from one to eight pounced on them and started building little structures. I could see their little brains working, so I do feel good about the fact that it’s not a mindless toy. They are made of painted wood, and seem quite durable. The one thing I should note is that the second the one year old grabbed one of the smaller blocks, she popped it straight into her mouth. It is definitely a choking hazard at that size. When I took it, the grabbed another small one and tried the same. I simply removed all the small blocks, and let her play with the ones that were too big for her little mouth.I’m not sure this is a good toy for a one year old, since they would have to be supervised 100% of the time. You could remove the small ones, but then you lose around half of your blocks. I’d highly recommend waiting until your child stops eating random colorful orbs before gifting this to them.

Fun, Fun, Fun and Great for Fine Motor Skills!
These blocks are so much fun to play with, and I say that on behalf of my 3 and 5yo sons, as well as myself. We’ve had hours of competitions trying to see who can build the highest towers. Each piece has tons of facets, or sides, so you can experiment with different setups to see how high you can get them. I had never seen these types of blocks before but am glad I did.If you’ve ever stacked rocks on the trail or otherwise made cairns, then this is a must buy!

Best for 4-5 year olds
These blocks are great and come with a little storage bag that fits everything in it. My four year old is handling the blocks great and building with them as intended. However, my one year old keeps chewing on them which is only a problem because some of them actually fit completely in her mouth, making the size of the blocks a genuine concern. Because of that, I would say only use these with supervision. If you have any pets, be sure to keep the blocks off the floor or they can eat them too.

Great toy! Nephew loves these blocks.
I like the blocks since they invite experimental play and don’t have an orientation or specific way of fitting together. I got these for my 18 month old nephew for Christmas who really really loves them!

Unique shapes!
These stackable blocks are so interesting and my students loved them. Trying to balance irregularly shaped blocks was quite a challenge and had them engaged for a long time. It was well-liked by both boys AND girls from ages 4-10. 42 pieces is a rather small set, so unless you have one young child who doesn’t like to share, get multiple sets.I evaluated multiple brands (other sets were Tmgooyier and Hoolyuk), and I think this one was my favorite due to the unique shapes of trees (so cute!) and kind of kidney bean-shaped pieces. Those made it easy to stack several layers high, which was the kids’ first goal of course! They came with a nice silicone-like pouch to store them in if you don’t want to keep them in the box. Look for a sale if you can, but I definitely recommend these!

Lots of fun! Good quality! Interesting and challenging for any age!

These are my thoughts on Sukone “Wooden Stacking Stones,” batch 20220913.MY RATING9/10The play is about stacking wooden blocks. Blocks are nicely painted in various vivid colors. They have different shapes and interesting cuts so the sky’s the limit how they can be stacked. Challenge a kid or yourself. I found only one block out of 42 which has a crack at the bottom (please see the photo). There are enough blocks to have a lot of fun.The set comes with a plastic-rubbery bag for storage. Indeed, it can store all the blocks (please see a photo), however, it does not convince me that the bag would last long (but I would be happy to be proven wrong). I would prefer a fabric bag.I would expect that the paint might chip off under an impact of falling blocks onto each other. This is one of the games that both adults and kids might truly enjoy.SUMMARYThis is a great, quality set for playing a stack-me game. Lots of fun for kids and adults, as well.Pros:- Blocks are wooden and of good quality, painted in nice colors.- There are enough blocks to enjoy the game.- Blocks have interesting shapes so the game can be made as challenging as you wish.- Tons of fun and entertainment for people at any age.Cons (minor):- I did not like the plastic bag for storage. I would prefer a fabric one. The plastic one would probably not survive long, although I might be proven wrong.Thank you!

Small Parts, but a Tall Stack of Fun
I purchased this set to go with a very, very similar set of Montessori type building blocks. They are a different name brand but just about the same quality. Sizing is difficult to tell apart from the other set. This set added more colors, smaller blocks, taller (thin) blocks, and flat pieces to our other set. We were able to build a sturdy wide base. Some of the towers look a little adult if you’re of that mind set, especially with that green piece (kids called it a poop emoji shape). I would not leave any child who puts items in his/her mouth alone with this set even though it’s labeled 12+months. The smallest size piece is easy enough to put in one’s mouth. The weight of pieces is good and the finish is smooth without rough edges. I am glad that I bought this 2nd set to go with the first. Kids are more likely to build higher and wider structures with 2 boxes than just one.

Really Great Toy
The Wooden Stacking Rocks are a great toy to help my kids learn the basics of building and balancing. My kids also love the many different colors that the blocks come in. The set comes with a few wider flat blocks allowing the stack to start on surfaces like carpet. The set also comes with a nice bag for storage so that you don’t have to spend time figuring out how to fit them all back into the box. Overall, I’d recommend them. The only thing is that some of the blocks can be difficult to balance/build on as they have very small flat surface edges.

Wooden blocks reimagined
Same concept as traditional wooden stacking blocks however these come in a variety of shapes with numerous flat surfaces. Adds more problem solving to the creativity. They say 12+ months however the largest piece pictured is the size of a spoon head. Several pieces are much smaller and could be a choking hazard. With supervision or a little older I’m sure my daughter will love playing with these.

For big kids who like blocks too!
These blocks are going to be so much fun for our boy when he gets them this Christmas! He loves to stack things up and knock them down like his favorite dominoes/marble tower/blocks videos on the internet. I’m sure he’ll have hours of fun with these. They’re all nice and smooth edged, and they come with a plastic bag to keep them in. They’re just what I was looking for!

Best for older toddlers
Great product with no smell. The colors are bright and vibrant for a young child and are great for staking and developing those motor skills. I do recommend watching your children though. My son is very oral seeking so all toys make it in the mouth. Im sure other young toddlers will do that too.
