Just Wish Perching Ledge Was Larger!
The design of this feeder is almost perfect, except the perching ledge needs to be larger. Birds struggle landing and perching on it to eat. Thankfully it’s wooden and I have a handy husband. He’s going to modify the bottom to enlarge it, as I’ve read other’s are also doing. The feeder is built well and is easy to fill. I love the design of it hanging from our tree. We’ll revamp it and make it work better for the birds so I’m not going to return it.

Good bird feeder
The bird feeder is very well built. Unfortunately some animal knocked it down the first night we had it up and pulled the loop at the top out of the clip. We have tried to contact the mfr to get a replacement clip but they are in China and not answering emails.

I have opinions about bird feeders now!
I live in a beautiful old building, and wanted a bird feeder that would match it. No plastic feeders for me, and the metal tubes were too boring; this cute little gazebo is PERFECT!First off, way nicer construction than I expected. It comes fully assembled, but is easy to slip apart to clean. It’s made of actual wood pieces (not MDF or patterned plastic), with lightweight acrylic panels for the “windows.” Everything slots together beautifully.Secondly, it’s sturdy! We’ve had some bad weather recently, and strong winds (up to 50mph) and atmospheric rivers didn’t do any damage! Literally the only issue was some water seeping in down the top knob bit, but easily rectified with some plumbers tape. And finally, it’s popular! My neighbors have complimented it, I love it, and I’ve seen four birds at once feeding from it. Never thought I’d hold strong views on bird feeders, but here we are. Strongest recommendation.

Great for Smaller Birds
Love the look of the feeder, the ease of filling and cleaning. It is very well built and sturdy. Think that it will last a while. I have had it up for a short time (3-4 days) and the only birds that I have seen on it are the smaller size (House Finch and other finches). Will need to search for replacement of large hopper feeder that supported doves, blue jays, and other mid- to larger- birds.

Not enough room for cardinals
The product is good but needs adjustments. The bottom piece of wood is thin. The feeder swings easily in just a little bit of wind. The edge isn’t large enough for cardinals to eat because they only bend forward. I am decent with wood so I cut out a few pieces of extra wood to extend the bottom and cut dowels for each post on each corner. Then I ran dowels between each post as perches. Now all the birds love it and I finally have my cardinals!

Surprise was ruined by mailing box
Although it is a beautiful birdhouse, the box it is mailed in has a picture on two sides and on the other two sides has a description of the contents. My husband picked up the mail and knew what I had gotten him. Totally bummed. But he was pleased with the gift.

Bird feeders
We purchased two new bird feeders and we love how sturdy and well designed they are. We filled them up and the birds just love feeding from them. Plenty of room for multiple birds to share space on the feeders and very impressed and pleased with the quality of the construction. Definitely recommend others to purchase.

UPDATE ON REVIEW
UPDATE>>After using this feeder for one month, I took it down to refil. It was a little less than full. I reattached the feeding to the hanger and 30 seconds later, heard a crash. The entire top of the feeding came apart and crashed to the ground, in pieeces. The feeder is in 3 proken pieces, the roof is crushed. Borrom line, cute, but a piece of GARBAGE!!!Original review is below!!!For a $30 bird feeder I am very unhappy. As you can see, one of the spokes is cracked all the way through. THE WATER, WHEN IT RAINS WILL FILL THE FEED STORAGE AREA. THE SEED WILL BE RUINED AND HAVE TO BE REPLACED.It looks as though the piece was already cracked when the item was assembled. As well, one of the side clear plastic panels has a visable chip that is not covered up by the wood frame. If I had purchased this item at a discount store, I would not complain.HOWEVER, at the price I paid for the item I am pissed off.My son said that we could glue and clamp the top braces. However, at almost $30.00 I should not need to do a repair!!!!As well, several of the side clear plastic panels that hold in the seed have visible scratches. It is cute, but all and all not worth $30.00

Liked the design and it holds a lot of seed. Love the cedar. Would buy again. Fast Shipping, well packed. Easy to see from a distance if seed is low.

Love the mesh insert
Wish it were taller. Some birds like the blue jays don’t fit really well. The mesh insert is shaped so the seed falls out to the bottom tray evenly. No water clumping. Beautiful design.

Hanging cable came apart
Overall this is a good feeder . The only issue I have is the loop on the cable is not secure. It ame apart causing the feeder to fall 6′ to the ground. Surprisingly the feeder had no other damage. I’ve repaired the cable and hopefully it will stay. If you purchase this just double check cable

Birds like it!
I have tried several plastic bird feeders andThey don’t last even one summer season. From my experience so far, this one is a winner. Some reviews talk about modifying ledge the where the birds land but so far my Illinois birds are having no problems.

Very nice but not for the birds.
We filled and hung the bird feeder yesterday. Since then I’ve seen frustrated birds who can’t get to the seed. The little landing area doesn’t stick out enough for the birds to actually land. My husband is going to add a larger platform to the bottom of the feeder.

This Birdfeeder is much smaller than the item description.
I purchased the same feeder in white. The paint started scaling off after three months. I purchased a replacement in white. It arrived with paint problems. So, I ordered the same feeder in cedar to eliminate the paint problems. The cedar version arrived and it is much smaller than stated in the description. I love the design of the feeder because Blue Jays, Cardinals and red headed woodpeckers have been able to land on the perches. The smaller perches on this feeder is too small to accommodate these birds.

Birds like it. However the bottom ledge needs to be bigger ( larger diameter) to accommodate larger birds like cardinals, blue jays, and robbins.

Best house for cleaning and refilling seed. I have been using the birdseed feeder for 3 mos. So I cannot say if feeder will be durable.

Damaged
I really like this bird feeder on nearly every metric. It’s a good size, it seems sturdy, and it has a good design. My only warning is about damages to the ones I received. The first were sent back due to missing piece. The replacement arrived damaged. The damages to the replacement (cracked windows) don’t keep it from working so I’m going to keep them. I won’t be able to hang them until deck construction is done at my house. But aside from the cracks, I love them.

Nice feeder, easy to fill
Like the design, the one suggestion we have is that the base where the birds stand should be made larger as bigger birds have trouble staying on it. I am going to make a bigger bottom for it.

Smaller than some of the photos suggested
This is a nice bird feeder for very small birds. It is not as rugged as the photos suggested nor as large. It would work best where feeder space is somewhat limited (like a balcony or porch) but where we have placed it on a bird feeder pole in a yard is does seem diminutive.

Good quality
Very nice bird feeder. Attractive and functional. Easy to fill. One added “plus” I noticed about this feeder is that my backyard squirrels are not able to get on, and stay on, the feeder eating until there heart/stomach is content. They have to work really hard to reach it and grab a nibble or two and then back to the ground to eat it. So, my bird seed is lasting longer and mostly feeding the “smaller birds”. My doves don’t seem too comfortable eating from this feeder either. Well worth the cost.

Smaller than it looks like in the photo but nice
I guess I was expecting a little larger feeder based on the picture, If there were small. medium, and large versions, I would consider this a small. Still it is a nice feeder and will be easy to clean. The plastic one I had before it lasted a year before it cracked. Hoping this one lasts 2 years.

Lid wont stay on
Great sturdy feeder. However, the top/lid does not have pieces to secure it to the bottom/ canister. I bought this feeder to set on a feeder table. If the feeder is not hanging, the lid easily slips to the side and falls off. I’ve had to rig up a system to keep the lid on.

Such a disappointment!
I had been looking forward to receiving this feeder but it turned out to be a disappointment. The packaging had two holes on the sides. When I opened the box, I saw no packaging material to protect the product from external hits and possible damage. That was already alarming. I took the feeder out of the box and discovered that the panels on the hexagon top was coming apart one by one. After looking closer I saw there was barely any glue holding them together as well as staple looking mounts, the latter missing the wood completely. Very cheaply made. The impression is that the item was made and shipped in a hurry, no pride in the product line. Not sure why they call themselves “experts in garden solutions”.

Looks nice
Wel this feeder looks like it is fairly constructed. It does kook good BUT no way does it hold seven (7) pounds of seed it holds maybe about 4 pounds of mixed bird seedI will have to wait to see if small song birds can lift the panels enough to get inside and get trapped ( they do move up slightly with the top on

Beware: modifications may be necessary!
Seems to be well made. It’s very pretty, but birds have a hard time landing on it to get the seed. It needs a wider base to allow the birds to perch and eat. We cut a wider circle of cedar board and glued it to the bottom to solve the problem.

Nice, but doesn’t keep seed from molding!
Nice looking feeder. However, the cone mesh meant to stop moister from getting to the seed doesn’t work. Water gets in and sits there… molding the seed. Dangerous to the birds. The design wasn’t totally thought out. I will drill some holes under the mesh cone to allow for air flow and water drainage. That should help this issues immensely. I’ll do another review after my modification of this feeder. Shame, you would have thought the designer would have tested this design before production.

Great wooden feeder
Easy-fill; lots of access for birds. Wood construction is better for bird grip (and looks) than plastic. Holds a lot of seed. Nor squirrel-proof, so hang it high.

the photo of the product is misleading
I tried to figure out reading the measurements if this was large enough for the birds pictured with the product photos. It is not. The cardinal barely fits and since this feeder is so lightweight, it is suitable for smaller birds like finches, not cardinals as in the picture. Not for blue jays either. So I bought something else and will use this one for the small birds. A bit disappointed. They shouldn’t have a cardinal in the product photo, making it look like a miniature with plenty of space since they barely fit.

Too small for cardinals and blue jays.
This is a darling bird feeder that I really wanted to love. It is lovely to look at and seems functional. Unfortunately, larger birds like cardinals and blue jays can’t land on the ledge.

Some assembly required
You have to put this partly together when you receive it. But that’s not the reason for the 4 stars. The knob on the top doesn’t fit well with the lid and the lid didn’t sit straight on mine. One of the supports for one of the plexiglass panels was taller than the others. But that’s mostly cosmetic, the birds don’t care.

Smaller than it looks
This feeder is fine for small birds like finches and chickadees. It’s too small for larger birds like cardinals, small woodpeckers, doves, blue jay’s, etc. The tray around the bottom is very narrow and there is not enough room for the larger birds sit on the edge and reach down to the food. I watched several cardinals fall off trying to maneuver the feeder.

Beautiful but not strong enough
I absolutely loved this bird feeder until I went to hang it back up and it dropped to the ground because the loop just came undone with no sure way of reconnecting it. At its weight, it would definitely harm a bird feeding on the ground below it which they commonly do. I have it hung up with several zip ties until the birds finish the seed. Then I will have to discard the feeder as the return window closed less than a month ago. Very disappointing.
