Great quality
Great counting set. Everything is made of wood and it great quality. However I wish there was a better box for this. I have it just sitting in the tray and I wish that it had a lid so it wouldn’t spill so easily.

Useful
This product makes Math more visual. We haven’t really tested for durability yet. But we’ve used it in several ways, and it is very useful.

It is fine for the price
This toy is not school quality, and at the price, I did not expect it to be. I bought it for the toy shelves in the playhouse. The box and sticks would not withstand classroom use, but for a child or two at home, it would likely outlast its need.

Great for math lovers!
Our son is really interested in addition and subtraction and he’s often looking for random things to add/subtract, so I thought he’d enjoy this and it would be even easier to demonstrate it with the symbols. He really loves this and we’ve been having so much fun with it! It’s really so simple yet effective!

Great concept but the execution is cheap.
The thickness is very thin. I would say for toddlers it is hard to grab. The writing on the numbers is peeling off. This just arrived today and was hoping to use for homeschool.

Just fine
Product was as described. As noted in other reviews, the pieces are fairly small but it is perfectly functional. I’m glad they came in a nice reusable tray.

Great learning tool
I typed up a sheet of equations (1+1=_) and my daughter uses the blocks to “write” the equation and then counts the sticks out for each block. Then she counts the sticks all together to get the answer and she writes it down on the sheet. The simple visual of the sticks definitely helps with basic addition and subtraction. This is a great learning tool for preschool/kindergarten aged children.

Too expensive for the quality
Great concept but way too expensive for what it was , it looks like something you would buy at the 99cent store … I wish there was more sticks

Pretty poor quality
I should have returned this but I just kept forgetting. I wound up throwing this away rather than to give it to my child to play with! That will tell you the quality. There were rough splinters, totally odd sized pieces, the sticks themselves were all so thin they would break in moments, some of the printing was off. This is worse than dollar store quality stuff. It’s like somebody said, “Hey, how cheap and crappy can we make this and then charge people for it and get away with it?”

Helpful in teaching, but small item
Excellent idea and this helps in teaching, but this item is very small. Again this helps when teaching my children, especially kenistetic learners. I am giving it two less stars because it is very small and wish it could be larger

Gift for premindergartener.
Using to teach kindergartener about counting without using fingers. She loves playing with it. This would have been really nice to have had a storage bag since there is no way to keep anything in the box once the plastic wrapper is removed. Package came undamaged and early.

Great.
One yellow stick came broken but I just taped it together. Doesn’t hinder it from doing what it is intended for.Our 4 year old loves to learn and is already into math so we got this. She loves it.She sets up her own equation then gets sticks of one colors for each number. Counts them then restated her equation and says what it equals. It’s so wonderful watching her learn.Great learning tool!

Perfect math manipulative!
I recently started homeschooling my special needs 6 year old. He loves these manipulatives and asks for them. It has been amazing how well he has grasped the addition and subtraction concepts with these. The colors are great. Smooth finish and easy for him to grab despite his fine motor delays. So double whammy it works on fine motor skills too! Ours came in perfect smooth condition!

Good
This is well made. Two complaints from myself and my child. The counters all lay flat in the case BUT ONE. Very irritating for people who like things organized and the same. Also there is no extra space beside the numbers and side of case so little fingers can’t get it there easily to get the numbers out. Small annoyances I know but both easily fixed with a slightly bigger case. Other than that it’s great and serves its purpose.

Great product but looks like cheap design
The media could not be loaded.
Thought this would be fun to do with my daughter and teach her some basic adding skills to start with. The idea is great but I feel as though the number squares were all cut wrong or the red paint or transfer was placed on poorly

Mathematical Intelligence Sticks
This is great and fun for learning math! However, for some reason there were 11 red and green sticks and 13 yellow and blue sticks. I think there should’ve been 15 of each color. Also, I’m missing either a 6 or a 9. They should’ve been better about checking that these were put together better.

Buy this! !
I read reviews on this product about how small the pieces are and poor quality but I disagree. I buy a lot of STEM items for my children so I can have one on one with them. My 4 year old absolutly loves these counting tools. She sits and just explores. I work with her on how to use them and we make games out of it. Of course if you’re buying this for a child who doesn’t understand not to put non food items in their mouths this is not the product for you, if you’re not willing to help your child understand how to use these tools then this product is also not for you but for those willing to invest in your child’s future I highly recommend this product.

You Could Probably Make Something Better
When I bought this item, it was called “Intelligence Sticks”, which is not a great name for an educational toy, but whatever.- More squares with symbols for the operations would be great, instead of just 1 symbol each.- Kids got bored using this pretty quickly. Montessori bead bars are way more effective and fun, if you’re looking for a similar way of teaching the operations.- Sticks are cheaply made and in each stick color group, there is not the same number of colors.

Looks like it was made out of scrap wood
This is horrible quality. I never even bothered to remove the plastic wrapped around it, I could see how bad it was before opening it. First of all, several of the numbers have chipped paint or are incomplete. Without opening the box, just through the plastic I can see that the #4 tile has a rough broken edge with splinters. If you look closely at the picture, you can see squared edges on other tiles, but not on the four. That’s because it’s angled down, like it was made out of scrap wood and they didn’t have enough to make a fresh cut for that piece. The sticks themselves have chipped and scuffef paint and the box has never even been opened.

Cheap
You get what you pay for. Cheaply made, wood splitting on sticks and painted numbers not printed clearly on squares. Would not recommend.
