Nicely made, smooth surfaces, fits perfectly into the wooden tray
This is a nine piece square block puzzle with 6 sides, so there are 6 puzzles to put together. Each focuses on a mode of transportation. submarine, helicopter, tugboat, school bus, fire truck , and a crane. They are kid style art and the colors are all similar but different enough to help figure out which puzzle you are doing. I would say this is for a 3 year old at the earliest and then only if they are really good at seeing the difference in color and pattern.I took off one star because there is no picture anywhere ( on the box or a paper inside, etc.) of what you are trying to put together. If you saw it on the sahcreatives site, you would know what you are ordering. But if this was a gift you wouldn’t have a clue what the pictures are.

Smaller then expected, good quality in the pictures.
I had a similar puzzle for my kids when they were little, I got this one for my best friends toddler to play with when I watch him.The quality is much better on this puzzle then I one I used to have. It’s much smaller than I expected, but I think it will help in the long run. The blocks are the perfect size for his little hands. He’s already been highly entertained by it.

Great puzzle, small though
I ordered this puzzle block set for my 2 and 4 year olds. My 4 year old could easily do all the puzzles and enjoyed the transportation images. My 2 year old had more difficulty, but I like that he can play around with it and not break the puzzle. It’s very durable, but smaller than I was imagining. I wish the border was a different color for each image to help my 2 year old along, but he will figure it out eventually.

This is such a cute little puzzle.
This is a great toy for helping your child learn deductive reasoning, hand eye coordination and critical thinking. Having a different puzzle on each side of the blocks lets them recognize similarities between colors and patterns.

Cute puzzle for kids
Cute small puzzle that would be easy to take around as an activity to keep the kids entertained. I like that it’s small and that there are different images so there are 6 puzzles in one. If an adult helps, you can make it easier by flipping the sides for one puzzle for the child or you can mix it up if they’re older or if they already are use to the puzzles to figure it out as well. The images are cute and bright colors which is nice. It lost one star because the holder that I got is cracked so I worry about how long it will last. This would make a cute stocking stuffer or a small gift/reward. I would recommend to others.

Beautiful Puzzle… Not for 1 year olds.
I love this puzzle so very much. The illustrations are beautifully done and you can tell it was created with care. The blocks come in a little tray and are arranged in its depicted scene. The number of blocks and the way the pictures are situated on them may frustrate a younger child. Which is the experience I had when introducing it to my students. They wound up stacking and building even after I had pared it down to just the 6 blocks for the fire truck. It’s a beautiful idea for my students to work towards.

Cute and portable
This little toy is a cute travel toy for kids because it’s small and easy to pack. It’s got a bunch of loose pieces but they’re on the larger side (big blocks) so it’s harder to lose them. The only thing I was a little disappointed by was the puzzle images on the blocks. I was expecting them to be a little bit more vibrant, like most things made for toddlers. When I opened the box, the pictures were less vibrant than I thought they’d be.

9 piece puzzle in a generic box
This item is exactly as shown and the quality is good. The blocks are well made and the pictures are cute. This is a 9 piece puzzle and it is rather small. Some other puzzle blocks have 12 pieces and they are bigger. A 12 piece puzzle is considerably more challenging than a 9 piece puzzle. The box is generic brown cardboard, so it is not really suitable for storing the puzzle in the playroom because you can’t see what’s in it. You can’t store the puzzle outside of the box because the pieces will get scattered. This kind of puzzle should be in a commercially printed box with pictures on the outside to compare your work to.

Perhaps more challenging than it was supposed to be
I definitely don’t think this would be appropriate for very young children, because the images have a lot in common. The sky in four of the six pictures is very similar with the same types of clouds and birds, and the firetruck and school bus are both red vehicles of similar shape and size, and facing in the same direction. You wouldn’t think that a submarine and a construction vehicle would look alike, but they’re both the same yellow and orange with an extension going up to the left, facing the same direction on a background of the same color of blue and white. If you had all the cubes in front of you, and each cube represents six options, it might be difficult to shuffle through all those broken up, partial images, and figure out what goes with what. Bear that in mind, when determining if your intended recipient is sufficiently experienced with piecing together puzzles. So much for the trickiness. Now on to the quality. The cubes are all even, and fit well into the tray, and without rough areas, fissures, or splinters. Likewise, they are free of any unpleasant or chemical odor. When completed, the pictures line up properly, and there were no problems with chipped or otherwise damaged paint or incomplete designs. They decided to leave an unpainted border around the outside edge of each picture, which is especially helpful given what I mentioned above, about trying to decode what goes with what. The borders mean that you can determine at a glance that this piece is a corner, this is an edge, and that’s the center piece. The puzzle comes in a sturdy little cardboard manufacturer’s box, which stores everything when not in use, and prevents any of the cubes from going astray.

No sample map to show what each puzzle is
Kids have to blindly solve each puzzle. There is no picture to guide the child as to what she is putting together.

Very tricky to do
When I opened the box for this puzzle, I was pleased that there was a little wooden tray inside to fit the puzzle blocks into to hold them together as you do the puzzle. There’s even a little cloth wipe should you find the need to clean them…The pictures are pretty cute but there’s no reference pictures, so you have to solve them blindly, while figuring out which side of each block actually looks like it’s a part of the picture you are trying to do. My advanced 3.5-year-old who LOVES all-things puzzles had a basic understanding of how to do this. She found the chicken head and then wanted to find the chicken feet so she took each remaining block and twisted and turned them until she found the one with the feet. I think the other parts of the picture would have been tough. She didn’t finish the puzzle because she got distracted. In summary, I think in a moment of great focus and desire, she could work really hard to do some of these, but if she’s not in the mood, she won’t do any of them (but what kid would?).Great product with a great idea – maybe just needs an adjustment on the suggested ages of use?For now, they make nice stacking blocks 🙂

smaller than expected and harder than expected!
I got this block puzzle set with my nephew in mind, who will be turning 1. I don’t expect him to be able to do the puzzle for quite a while, obviously, but until then, it’s a set of wooden blocks. I appreciate gifts, especially at his age, that will have a lifespan longer than a few months, and this definitely does fit the bill. The colors are vivid and the blocks are as solid as you’d expect. It is smaller than I thought it would be, but I didn’t study the size specs in the listing. The box is plastered with warnings that it’s not intended for kids under 3. Nothing involved is small enough to be a choking hazard for any age, so I’m not sure why that warning is important. But you guys, this puzzle is kind of hard! I’m not a visual spatial genius by any means, but I didn’t expect to be challenged by a 9-piece block puzzle. The box doesn’t include the six pictures, so when you look at the blocks, you just have to figure out which sides go together, but it’s harder than you’d think. Any child will struggle the first several times they put it together until they know what the pictures look like. It turns out the older kids in the family may be at least as interested in this block puzzle as the baby is!

Difficult for 3 year old but can promote learning to solve
This puzzle takes more thought than just trying to match the puzzle. The pieces don’t stay in the same spot when you attempt another puzzle and the frame that holds them in place is not square had to turn it to go from crane truck to submarine for pieces to fit. The child has to be able to identify corner pieces from center and center sides to make the puzzles or go by matching pictures. This is a great learning puzzle.

Nice
Cool game for the development of thinking and the brain in general. Good size for small hands. the only thing I did not like is that the colors are very similar on all sides of the cubes, so it will be quite difficult for a child to assemble a drawing. but with the help of an adult it is possible. quite complex drawings

Not easy ti assemble
These blocks are too complicated for a toddler to assemble. The colours for some images are exactly the same with similar props e.g same shaped birds in the sky, similar sky, same background colour. No guide to show how the puzzle should end up like.

Great way of fitting 6 puzzles in the space of 1! Good toy.
Great little toy, keeps kids entertained and feeling enthusiastic and accomplished. Sturdy wood frame does a good job of keeping the puzzle cubes contained, the cubes are nice and well-made and form half a dozen different scenes. Kids have to figure out which side of the cube has the right picture, which orientation, and which position – it’s lots of fun watching them figure it all out! Excellent value for the money on this one.

Upper left is upper left, middle is middle
It’s a good quality product. The wood is good, no splinters, and I feel like the kiddo would have to try pretty hard to damage the images past the point of usability. My only wish for this would be for the puzzles to be mixed up better. As it is, the upper left corner block is the upper left corner for all of the puzzles; the center is the center for all of the puzzles; etcetera.I know a three year old is still learning about the world and may not pick this up instantly, but I feel like itwould bea better educational tool if it were mixed up a bit.I’ll admit I’m not expert, though. It could be that the need to rotate the blocks is enough and a kid would get a nice boost of staifaction in figuring out that the same pieces are right for all the puzzles. But it wasn’t what I expected or hoped for.

Cute but small
Really cute overall, seems well made but smaller than I imagined. The whole thing fits in one hand. Which is fine easier to take on the go and what not. Pretty graphics and each image has like a different color scheme it seems so that kind of helps my 5 year old a lot.

Very poor for little ones
This puzzle is not good for 3-5 year olds. It has confusing colors without separate borders for each picture. It is listed next to other block puzzles that are 8”x8” at about the same price so the buyer assumes it is like the Melissa and Doug block puzzle.

Cool Transportation Block Puzzle
I love getting block puzzles for toddlers because I loved mine as a kid, and I’ve got two toddlers in my life who are obsessed with all things transportation, so I’m really excited to gift this to the one turning two soon. The designs are printed onto the blocks rather than stickers applied to them or paper glued to them like some other block puzzles, which is really nice, but it is small. It clearly shows that in the ad, though, so I can’t dock any points. I just wish that the tray and the blocks were a bit larger. They’re not choking hazard small, though; they’re safe. I just think that smaller blocks (1.4″ wide) are easier to lose than the larger blocks that most similar puzzles I’ve bought have. It’s a great value for $18, though.

Great educational game that minimizes storage space
I ordered this as a future gift for my grandson; I had one like it when I was small, though mine was fairy tale-themed. I loved mine for the way that one set of blocks could form 6 different puzzles, though I also loved mixing and matching them into interesting patterns and sometimes mismatching character tops and bottoms. My grandson’s still too young to show a strong interest in anything in particular, but cars and trucks and boats are usually a safe choice for children to be interested in, almost as good as dinosaurs and farm animals and classic tales like the Three Little Pigs. I love that this set is printed (and not papered, like mine were) on cubes that are too big to be swallowed, but small enough for little hands to grasp, and that the inks are non-toxic, since it’ll still be a year before my grandson gets to the age where not everything immediately becomes a teething toy. It’s also small enough to fit in a modern small apartment if the baby has a corner of the parents’ room, or in a travel bag for a quiet toy to play with, and I love that, along with its sustainability and durability.

Cute and compact
I thought this would be bigger, but I actually like the smaller size. The images are just so cute and colorful, and can be played with as regular blocks, or as puzzles. I was expecting it to come with pictures of the images, but I don’t think this is such a big deal, just makes it more of a challenge. With so many wooden block puzzles out there, the images on this one stood out to me, and I would definitely recommend this!

nice puzzle
I recently purchased this building block puzzle and I give plus to the quality and design of this toy. The 6-in-1 concept is great as it includes a variety of popular means of transportation like construction vehicles, buses, ships, submarines, fire engines and helicopters. The wooden pallet is a convenient and durable addition, making it easy for kids to play and store. The wooden blocks are safe for children as they are large enough not to be swallowed and easy for little hands to hold. The materials used are eco-friendly and the colors are vibrant. The heat transfer technology used to print the marine animals is also impressive as it doesn’t fade easily. This Montessori educational toy is perfect for developing children’s thinking, creativity, hand-eye coordination, and hand flexibility. It’s suitable for children aged 3-6 and it’s a great alternative to screen time. The gift box is beautiful and it makes a great gift for holidays, birthdays or any occasion. The only downside I found is that the blocks don’t fit together as snugly as I would have liked, but it’s still an educational toy for kids.

Much smaller than I expected…
This is a very sweet, very little block puzzle. The dimensions are clearly stated but it was MUCH smaller than I expected. Just look carefully at the size and don’t make my mistake. The pictures are nice and the blocks fit neatly into the tray. My 3 yr old nephew enjoyed it a lot and it would probably be good for travel given it’s size.

The color is vivid but not even
The vehicle patterns are cute, especially for boys. The colors on the cubes are vivid but not even. It may be due to the cubes’ coating, so the printed color seems different. A part of the paint sticks on the wooden holder when it arrives. This block puzzle is kind of hard for my 3 yr old boy, who just starts playing jigsaw puzzles.

Safe for all ages
The box and listing state the puzzle is not for 3 year old and under because of a chocking hazard, however the blocks would be difficult for an adult to swallow. That being said, I think the puzzle would be difficult to do for a toddler, so it’s more for a 4 or 5 year old. The puzzle is well built and a nice challenge.

Neat little puzzle. Surprisingly challenging
I got this puzzle for a 5 year old, and when I first saw it, I thought it would be way too easy because each side used a distinctly different color. I was surprised at the level of challenge this puzzle provided. It is a decent size and very solidly built. The box is reclosable so that it all says together in storage.I think the only negative thing I can say about it is that there is no picture guide that you can use to make sure that you’ve built all 6 images.

Very cute and actually challenging
This 6 in 1 puzzle has very cute themes, but it can be a little challenging since all the cubes have the same shape and size, so the kids have to guide themselves by the pictures on each face of the cubes. So, it may be a little bit discouraging at the beginning for the little ones, but you know, the amazing little kids always find a way to surprise you.

Challenging but fun!
My 2 and a half year old struggles to solve this, but she enjoys me showing her what to do with it and it’s more time I get to spend with her helping her expand and work on her problem solving skills. She’s below the minimum recommended age so I can’t knock it for that. The blocks are good quality and seem like they’ll hold up to the toughest a 2-3 year old can bring, including being thrown off our deck multiple times. I’m looking forward to the day she understands that she can organize the blocks into a picture and seeing her do it. I feel like she gets closer every day to understanding. Not sure why these have warnings for under 3 year olds since there seems to be nothing dangerous about them. Either way, highly recommended, but definitely challenging for the little ones!

Good, safe block puzzle
This is a good quality wooden block toy that is large and simple enough that it has no safety hazards to be concerned about. The printing feels durable and hasn’t chipped or peeled, and with only 9 blocks its easy to keep them accounted for.Just bear in mind that being 6 different puzzles in one means this is a little more complicated than it looks! It’s a good guided play toy more than a stacking block toy.

Love it!
I like the material of this puzzle toy. It feels high quality. It’s smaller than I expected. The puzzles themselves are kind of hard. I tried doing one and I couldn’t figure it out easily. I think it’s a good toy for my children to instill patience in them so they don’t end up like me with a short attention span. The toy itself is delicate and feels like a montessori toy. My son loves it. I wish it came with a little bag because the pieces get lost easily.

Nice detail
This puzzle is really neat! The completed image has excellent detail, and the kiddos can label the fame animal. We use these as a step up from 12-piece jigsaw puzzles l. This particular puzzle design makes the kiddos engage in higher-order thinking by using the correct image on the block. This design is also suitable for kiddos that have acceptable motor limitations. We have noticed that the kiddos enjoy the challenge and get excited when the puzzle is completed. This is an excellent resource in the classroom.
