I thought my daughter was crazy, but….
My daughter had this on her list for Christmas, so I got it for her. When I saw it on her list, I thought she was crazy and I just knew this “block of wood” was not going to look good and that the display wasn’t going to be as clear as it shows in the pictures, but….I was proven wrong. This little thing is so freaking cool and super easy to operate. The sound control option (you know, like clap on clap off) is awesome. At the bottom in the second picture, you can see that there are 3 switches to turn on or off 3 of your saved alarm times. The display is so clear and bright, as well as adjustable, and I love how it shows the temp and room humidity. When it is turned off, it looks like nothing but a prism shaped piece of wood, there’s absolutely no sign that it has a display area (again, I think that’s neat and it’s still driving me crazy that I can’t find even a hint of the display lol). This is such an awesome little clock that when it first came in, my husband thought I bought it for him and he had already opened it, set the time, turned on the clapper, everything and he loved it….so his little heart was broken after I told him it wasn’t his and that it was for our daughter. Oh yeah, and my daughter says she loves it too!!

Cool clock
It looks *fancy*It’s cool that you can adjust the brightness. Temperature reading seems pretty accurate. We don’t use the alarm function so I can’t speak for that.

It reliably works and can easily be seen.
The clock works when you plug it in. I have purchased 3 of them over the past year to use in different locations in my house.

I wish it ran on batteries.
I use this to monitor my tropical plants in my room. I try to maintain humidity between 40% – 50% and temperatures between 75⁰F – 78⁰FThe wood grain is nice looking. I didn’t choose lighter color to match my desk because I I wanted the backlit numbers to be easier to read at lower brightness settings. If there were more contrasting number options (red, dark orange, green) for the lighter wood grain I might have picked a lighter color.

Works great
Needed a new desktop clock. This is perfect. Love the temperature and humidity display as well. Great illumination and dims at night just right. Will rebuy if I had to.

Easy to Set up
Pros:Easy to set up. The instructions with the clock were very easy to follow and completely described every setting within the clock that a person would need to complete. The instructions include pictures and detailed language making it very easy to get the clock into its many modes for daily use.Functionality: The clock is very accurate for both temperature and humidity which makes it ideal for replacing a similar clock/humidstat combo that I’ve seen get real expensive. This is an ideal alternative for those looking to have a clock and additional information available. Clock can be set to 24hr time or 12hr time with a PM light. The temperature can be set in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. There are 3 brightness settings, however, I would argue that even on the lowest setting it still glows to brightly for a bedroom (see cons below). Very easy to read though, I will say I got the BLACK clock with WHITE lettering, and can’t speak for the other clock colors.Cons:Too bright during sleeping. I think this is a personal preference, and also based on how your bedroom is arranged, but I currently cannot place the clock directly next to my bed to utilize the “touch to wake” feature on the clock. Therefore, I have to have the clock face always on, and even on the lowest setting it sheds a pale glow throughout the room. I realize this isn’t a problem most people will have, but wanted to point it out.As a foil to my above point, if you can use the “touch to wake” feature on the clock it is very easy and works with a single finger. If I had space to put this within arms distance I would use it.Setting the time every time it is unplugged. I have read some reviews saying that the clock will remember the time when it is unplugged, however, I have found that this is only true if there are batteries installed in the unit. It takes 4 AAA batteries to run, and like it says in the reviews and the product page itself it will BURN through those batteries quickly. If the unit does not have batteries installed it will forget all the settings and time and will have to be set up again once you move it to it’s new location. What I have done to move my clock around is install the batteries, unplug the clock from the wall, relocate it, and plug the clock back into the wall before removing the batteries. This way no settings need to be adjusted and you won’t have to worry about old batteries. Conclusion:Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase. It serves the purpose currently as a replacement clock for the cable box that I just tossed aside and also does the duty of telling me how warm it is in the room. The black wood look is great with the other black/dark woods that are in my living room and the display is easy to see from anywhere. I currently have the display always on as it is in the living room, but if I were to place one in a bedroom I would find a spot for it to sit next to my bed so I could utilize the “touch to wake” feature. A very impressive clock that is well worth the price compared to other similar alarm clocks and digital thermometers and humidistats.

Nice clock
Nice looking, easy to read, accurate. Only bad thing was that first one came broken (usb/plug adapter). But was exchanged without problems. New one was fine.

Adjustable brightness
My old bedroom clock finally died. This was the 3rd new clock I purchased. All of the others, even at the lowest brightness setting, lit up the bedroom. This clock has a truly adjustable brightness. I purchased the Red light version, (no interruption in circadian rhythm), and have been extremely happy with it.

Very impressed with the look, love the temp. And humidity being shown ( and accurate ) had to knock down a star due to fine wood paneling peeling off the corner, used some Elmore paper glue and repared, still very new, hope to give positive update

Not a particularly loud alarm, but a beautiful decorative clock with some useful displays..
While it looks lovely in pictures, this alarm clock is even more beautiful outside the box. It’s small, but it’s got a shape and texture that makes it look very elegant. This display panel is invisible, so the numbers look like they are right on the wood. I don’t know how to describe it, but it doesn’t look electronic — especially when it’s not turned on. It’s the most beautiful clock I’ve ever owned. It doesn’t have a usb port so it won’t change your phone or anything like that. It has a very minimalist design, except for the display which, in addition to very clear time display, also has temperature and humidity display, which I find SOOO helpful. (The important thing to keep in mind with humidity is that it should stay between 40 – 60%. If it goes above or below, you may want to get a humidifier (in summer, if <40%) or dehumidifier (in winter, if >60%). I keep a large computer in my bedroom, which has very little ventilation, so having a humidity indicator is essential and having it build into my alarm clock is quite the convinience — especially one so small and elegant looking. As I said, it has a minimalist design so it has few buttons which make the controls very confusing. Or at least, I thought they would be confusing. I read the directions, which were very clear and had diagrams, and was able to pick up the alarm clock and use it intuitively. I could see how someone might have problems with it, but I didn’t.As an alarm clock, I found it a bit lacking. I bought the alarm clock (along with several others) because my old one was failing to wake me up. I don’t know if there’s something wrong with me or I’m just getting old or I’m not getting enough sleep or what… but I needed a more robust alarm clock and am concerned this one won’t be able to wake me. Despite that I am using a seperate alarm clock, I still keep this one in my room because it makes for great decor, is very useful, and doesn’t take up much space. The volume is probably okay if you have the clock by your bedside, but I’m one of those people who keep it on a desk across the room. The volume is not adjustable, so I recommend keep it by your bed. There’s no giant snooze button, which is good, but there is a snooze feature if you press any of the small buttons — which you kind of have to wake up a little to do properly. I like that. Press any button for snooze, and hold down to activate. The display also has a small alarm indicator that flashes when the alarm is active, even if currently snoozed, which is pretty convenient. My main issue is that the alarm only rings for one minute and doesn’t change pitch or volume. This is an issue mainly because of me and my situation of not waking up easily — otherwise normal people may not have a problem with this, especially if they keep the alarm by their bed. But I’ve seen alarms that gradually change in volume or tone so you don’t get used to it and fall back asleep, I’ve seen alarms that continue beeping for five minutes or more, I’ve seen alarms where you can customize how long they ring for or at what volume. This alarm clock doesn’t do that. The alarm rings for one minute, waits 6 minutes, and then rings for another minute. The volume cannot be adjusted. And I’m just afraid that one minute of noise may not be enough to wake me, especially if I wake and go back to sleep or something like that.I think of this as a clock rather than an alarm clock. If is a really awesome clock with a basic alarm feature. Okay, maybe not that basic. It’s alarm can be set to go off at three different times (which, may be a way to get around the problem I was having now that I think about it) and the alarm can be deactivated without turning off the alarm so it’s ready the next day. Best yet, and I’ve never seen this before, each alarm time can be individually set so that the alarm doesn’t activate on weekends. The only problem with this is that you have to take it on faith that the alarm knows what day of the week it is when you set the date. There’s no calendar display. There’s no day-of-the-week indicator. All and all, I would highly recommend this product. I may buy additional ones to put around the house or to give as gifts. It’s not the greatest “alarm clock”, but it is a truly spectacular clock with some nice alarm and other features added in. It is also excellently priced and looks like a more expensive product, and would probably sell for more if displayed on a store shelf.I don’t recommend it if you are a very heavy sleeper or — like me — find yourself sleeping through alarms, but then, for the price and features, you may want to try it out anyway to see if it will work. Otherwise, you may want to search for “loud” or “heavy sleeper” alarm clocks. But for everyone else, especially for people who don’t necessarily need a bedroom alarm clock, this is an excellent and useful clock with temp and humidity displays and it makes for a beautiful artistic decoration. If you’re interested in using it as decor, the sound control feature may appeal to you. In that mode, the time only displays if there is a loud sound or if someone touches the clock. So in all other times it just has a wood finish. One final note is that I keep the brightness level on its lowest setting. It still creates more glare than I expected in the otherwise dark room but not enough to keep me awake or anything. At all times it looks great, even on the lowest brightness setting.

VERY ATTRACTIVE AND USEFUL
I love the way this looks. The flat black design with simple illuminated numbers is very attractive. I love that you can adjust the brightness of the numbers also. I wanted something that displayed temperature and humidity only, but after seeing this, I replaced my clock/alarm clock with this. You have to choose between seeing the date or temperature, but ….not a big deal, since I usually know the date anyway. The temp/humidity seems to be accurate. The things I don’t like (reason for only 4 stars) is the settings structure on the back is not very user friendly. It’s tiny black letters on a black surface, which is hard to read, even with glasses. Plus….you have to hold it at an angle or read it upside down while setting it. The alarm feature is not user friendly either. Trying to find a button to press when you’re groggy is not easy. Also….I was under the impression that you could use batteries to run this, but you have to plug it in. The instructions say, “CR2032 used for memorizing setting. Cannot be used as a power source.” So…..I’m being generous with a 4 star rating because of the way it looks…..super COOL!

Very Attractive, Fits The Needs For A Basic Clock
I really appreciate the wood grain appearance of the clock. The adjustable brightness was a huge selling point for me, and the “sound control” ability to allow the display to turn off and listen for a sound or noise to turn on is really cool. I’m a light sleeper and if I can see the alarm clock when I toss and turn, I will lie there and stare at it until I’m awake enough to know what time it is.I will say that I’m a tad disappointed that it doesn’t have a radio tuner, although that’s on me for not completely reading the description, and I’ve not decreased the rating of it as such.

Attractive, Easy to Set, and Better Than Using Your Phone
This alarm clock doesn’t add clutter to your bedroom, but it does do a great job of easing anxiety about wake times, without the ritual of double and triple-checking your phone’s alarm clock, and then wondering about whether it’s on silent or not, or whether silent mode will impact the alarm sound, or not. No more digging around in settings about sound and wondering which ones take priority over the other settings, etc.Just get yourself an alarm clock. I did, and the stress is off.

This clock is pretty cool
It looks like wood and with light soud or vibration the display wakes up. You can also adjust the brightness and the sound level for the alarm. You can program up to three alarms. The display can also show room humidity, date or temp. This one has a dark walnut color to it. That’s what I’ll make a good gift for someone who wants something unique.

Too bright at night
This a beautiful and useful little clock, but I have to concur with other purchasers that even at its dimmest setting it is way to bright at night in a dark room. I can’t imagine it would cost the manufacturer much to offer another step of dimming. I’ll probably keep it, but really can’t use it in the bedroom.

Seems to be everything it is claimed to be.
So far so good. Let’s see how long before it malfunctions. The only opportunity for improvement that I can think of now is to move the temperature sensor further from the lights. The temperature readout is consistently about 2 degrees more than the true ambient temperature. Not a big deal.

Best nightstand clock I’ve ever had.
This is a very nice clock. It has 3 alarm times available, humidity, temperature, both rather accurate and the appearance of the unit and the display are both fantastic. It’s NOT battery powered but that doesn’t bother me.

Great Clock!
I was trying everywhere to find a decent clock with adjustable RED LED’s. Most clocks for sale these days are obnoxious blue, green or white LEDs that flood the room with light when you’re sleeping. Red does not travel very far. I find this clock is excellent turned to it’s lowest setting and does not wake me up. It keeps accurate temperature readings and the humidistat is a nice touch.

Suitable Bedroom Alarm Clock? It’s much too bright on lowest setting.
I got this clock to use in the bedroom as an alarm clock whose principal function is to display time during the night and wake me in the morning. It sits about six feet from the bed so it can be easily seen but not easily shut off (alarm). Only features that affect that functionality (and aesthetics) matter to me.Aesthetics:- This is an attractive clock with a clear, uncluttered display that is easy to read.- In addition to time, the face also displays relative humidity and room temperature or date (neither of which add particular value to a bedroom alarm clock for many people and, oddly, cannot be turned off).- The case is finished with a wood-grained film applied to the plastic case which is quite effective. In my case, there were several bubbles in the film and I couldn’t smooth them all out.Functionality:- There are quite a few settings for the clock with multiple buttons and switches on the back. The variety may lead to a shortcoming for some, as it makes setting the clock more complicated (and difficult to remember).- Clock brightness can be set at various levels all the way down to 2% brightness, or off altogether. During the day almost any level is easily visible but I don’t use the bedroom during the day.- At night, the lowest brightness level that is not off (2%) is much too bright when the lights are out. In our bedroom, the clock lights up the entire room more than most nightlights or a small candle, for example. It’s more than enough to disturb sleep for most people. You can turn the display off completely, which I do, but this means you can’t see the time if you want to unless you use the Sound or Touch setting. To me, this is a major shortcoming.- There is a Sound setting for the display which turns it on in response to a clap or other noise. If it’s sensitive enough to hear faint noises, it will turn on whenever someone turns over (not good). If it needs a louder noise, then clapping, etc. will wake your spouse (much worse).- Touch doesn’t work unless the clock is right beside the bed. You also can’t just glance at the clock to read it.- Interestingly, I have found that if I set the display off at night, it seems to come up to full intensity during the day (not sure at what time). It has returned to off in the evening so far. I don’t know if this is an intended behavior, or wishful thinking on my part. If intentional, it doesn’t seem to be documented.Potential Improvements:- Add lower brightness settings. This would make the clock useful as a bedroom clock. This might require a different LED technology which could affect the cost of the clock.- Allow users to turn off the secondary data (RH and temp/date). This is a simple coding issue since you already have all those switches and buttons on the circuit board.I hope this helps some of you thinking about this clock for the bedroom.

Everything everyone already said – great alarm clock
All of the good points mentioned by others: Ditto.– Simple, modern, understated design that blends into my decor (previously I had a retro style red alarm clock – which was cool but really stood out on my nightstand; this one is less jarring on the eyes)– East to set-up and program (I mean the instructions are SO SIMPLE and written for a kindergarten level of intelligence, with pictures, that if you can’t get it… I don’t think alarm clocks are for you, or anything with buttons are for you)– There are NO PROBLEMS with the display. People who are saying the display disappears ARE NOT READING. This happens when you have the clock set-up to do this, so if you didn’t intend to set the clock to hide the display until touched, then YOU HAVE TO TURN OFF THAT SETTING. Then the display is there all of the time. Literally, this is written EVERYWHERE (in the instructions, on the box, on a sticker on the back of the clock….)– I love the humidity and temperature display (where I live is SUPER DRY and I’d like to keep the humidity at 30% or above)– Love that you can set the volume on the alarm. I am a light sleeper. I don’t need a fire alarm level of sound to wake me up. Plus, a loud alarm would annoy the **** out of my partner. What else is there? Probably missing some of the pros. Can’t really think of any cons. Maybe that I sometimes find myself feeling around for the buttons on the back to turn off the alarm (a minor inconvenience to preserve the sleek design; I WOULD NOT want a button on the front or the top; would ruin it). I do love that you can press ANY button to stop the alarm (great for when you are still groggy in the morning; you don’t have to think too hard).Great clock. No complaints.

Great clock for bedrooms. Only a tad confusing to set up
This is a wonderful product to have in a bedroom or office. I don’t like having a visible clock in my room while I sleep so the sleep mode is a very nice touch. The instructions were not difficult just a bit obtuse in spots. You should have no trouble rubbing your two brain cells together to figure it out.

Attractive, easy read numbers
This style is attractive with a wood like appearance, large easy to read numbers. It can display the temperature in the room. The triangular shape makes it stable so it doesn’t get knocked over easily. It has a battery back up to save the time and setting during a power outage. My clock arrived with a dead battery which was disappointing.

Stylish modern design, best at closer distance
Wanted an illuminated clock for living space, with visibility from open floor plan kitchen. While good brightness options, size of clock number display not large enough to make out numbers across 2 rooms. So returned. Easy to set up WITH instructions, which are detailed and enlightening. Good display size for viewing within the living space, and probably also great for bedroom space. Trendy, cool design.Side note: presumed temp and humidity were for outdoor conditions, however it is for inside only. Description didn’t clarify, and I personally didn’t need to constantly know indoor conditions so didn’t expect indoor displays. (Falsely presumed some fancy satellite function.) Guess I should have realized not outdoor displays since no coordinating outside part to read outdoor conditions. Can change clock display settings from temp to date, tho humidity display can’t be changed.

Great basic clock
I like the look and the fact that it’s just a basic clock, I don’t get why everything seemingly has to be “smart” these days. I wish it were a little smarter on brightness, though. The lowest brightness setting is plenty dim for a light sleeper like myself, but I wish it had some auto-adjust, because at that setting it gets completely washed out in the daytime. Not a major problem for my use-case though.
