The only improvement it needs is the dimmer
Excellent radio sound, intuitive buttons, easy to set up..My only criticism is that the display brightness only has 5 steps, not as a 1-100% scale.. at night, the most comfortable setting would make the display not visible during daytime.. and the next brightest is too bright for night..

So why 4 stars?
I got it as an overnight charger and it works great. Tried the radio and it sounds good but I don’t use it at all.So why 4 stars?The buttons are right next to the phone and when I pick it up it changes the brightness setting so I end up going to bed with the noonday sun shining in my eyes or it’s so dim I can’t read it in the day time, so I have to constantly adjust it.Poor design for a good product. I am OK with it but if I had to buy another one I would be looking for something different.

One Night In and Only One Complaint
Works precisely as advertised with only one gripe: I wish there were some variety in the alarm tone and/or a way to set the volume for it. You can adjust the volume for the radio alarm but the standard alarm tone is a single volume and that is LOUD. I can’t say it’s not effective but a way to adjust it would be nice.A nice feature I didn’t see before purchase is the rubberized charging plate to better prevent your phone from sliding off the clock. It’s a simple thing but effective and welcome.

A Good-Looking Clock Radio that Rocks!
This clock radio functions and performs superbly. Aesthetically pleasing, its most eye-appealing feature is its translucent wooden front. When the unit is powered on, it suddenly reveals large numeric characters showing either clock time or radio frequency. When the display brightness is extinguished, the user sees only an opaque wooden surface. The cellphone charging plate works well too. One drawback of this unit is that each one of the 30 radio station memories cannot be individually set; instead, they can only be stored in total by auto-scan. If signal reception is “too good”, all thirty memories may end up filled after the radio has only scanned a portion of the FM band. This clock radio is still very useful and the designers deserve kudos for engineering this product.

It’s a good alarm
The only thing I can say is that this alarm can only set one alarm and the beep is just a beep every 5 seconds it works as it should the beeps just not very affective other than the wireless charger works and is pretty cool fairly simple to use you can have 12 or 24 hours radio work and the headphones jack is for you to plug a speaker or headphones I guess if you can sleep with headphones on over all it’s not bad I love the fact the brightness goes all the way to off and very dim for the lowest setting witch is great to be able to sleep in the complete dark

Favorite Clock EVER!
It has 6 or 7 brightness settings so I can make it bright in the morning when I’m getting ready and dim at night so my room isn’t bright. It doesn’t look chintzy, it’s easy to read, and easy to adjust.

Impressed so far, everything I was looking for
I wanted an alarm radio with a decent speaker/sound. I like to listen to the news prior to getting out of bed but most alarm/radios, even the more expensive ones, fall short in this area. However this one delivers. Sure it’s not a match for a serious speaker system but has good clarity and sound level abilities. It is easy to read with a good range of brightness levels, understandable controls and the wireless charging is a plus. The reception seems quite good, I haven’t needed to unwind the antenna wire. It has a clean design with a big enough display to be easy to see and hear from across the room. Only time will tell on it’s longevity but I will be surprised if it doesn’t last numbering in the years. A good value for the money in a field where there is mostly junk.

Nice, but not perfect
Dimmable display is good, however an auto-dimming display with a sensor would be WAY better… this one is either too dim for daytime, or too bright for night time.The wireless charger works well, even with my iPhone 14 Pro with a chunky Poetic case.The beeping alarm though… OMG… way too loud and annoying!!

I’ve previously purchased several of the other version of this clock, in the black finish with green lettering, so there will be some comparisons to that.Functionality is about the same as the other version. My favorite feature is that the dimmer has a very dim setting available. Many clocks are too bright for my liking, but this one is just enough that you can glance over and read it in the dark, but not bright enough to be disturbing (see my photos for an example of the dim mode). It is just a tad brighter than the other version of this clock, which uses red LED numbering. The lettering on the controls are easier to read on this than the other version, since they are an off-white on black instead of a medium green on black. The snooze button is an odd amount of 9 minutes, which isn’t any problem to me, just not an expected timing.Most of the features are intuitive, except for setting the radio presets and changing the alarm buzzer or channel. These functions are shared with other buttons but not marked. You might need to keep the manual around in case you need to change these later. (I did find a PDF version of the manual online)Make sure to place a pair of AAA batteries in the bottom, otherwise it will lose the time and presets whenever you have even a momentary power outage.The volume is a free turning analog dial at the rear corner, but it is placed in a location where it doesn’t get changed by accident. The wireless charger works perfectly with my iPhone 11, and I use the 2 Amp USB output on the back to charge my other phone. Being 2 Amps, it should be able to charge most tablets. I’ve put a triple headed cable on mine so that I can charge whatever device I need to.The biggest difference to the other model is the appearance, with this covered in a fake woodgrain finish. The speaker on the back doesn’t have a grill over it like my other one does. Sound quality about the same, so I think this is for the appearance of the copper colored speaker dome. It does look nice, but it is on the backside, so may not be visible in many placements.Fit and finish on my example wasn’t perfect, with a ding on the top edge where the control panel met the rubber, and one of the screws on the speaker wasn’t in all the way. It used a small Torx bit to tighten. The rubber mat for the wireless charging surface wasn’t as well centered as on my others. This rubber mat can also be a bit of a dust magnet, but a shot of some plastic protectant can help with that.

For the price, you cant beat it. The led “screen” looks nice, settings are easy to use. The only issue i have is the wireless charging was difficult to use. Not sure if its the thickness of my case, but theres a certain placement and orientation i have to lay my phone for it to charge

Works good but needs better brightness levels.
I have used this clock for a year now and like it for the most part but would change one thing…the brightness levels. There are 4 levels but at night when your eyes adjust, it will seem too bright. I dont know why this is, as I have never had this issue with previous alarm clocks. Other reviewers have mentioned this. I wish I had believed them . My wife and kids also complain it keeps them up. If I make it dimmer, I can’t see it during daylight, and I’m not talking that much light either.Other than that, it works fine, the radio is good and tunes well. I do wish the top buttons were labeled or spaced so you can see what you are pressing without counting and memorizing what each button is for. It is a bit tricky to turn off the alarm and the on/off button is just like the others. The wireless charger works ok for this price range and is a nice bonus feature.I may replace this with a name brand clock one day with a standard red number display.

Reliable for 18 months and counting
I was hesitant to purchase an alarm clock like this, but my trusty 25 year old “standard” alarm clock finally bit the dust. When looking for a new clock, I wanted one that doubled as a wireless phone charger. After narrowing it down to a few choices, I liked the appearance of this clock the best and the reviews were mostly positive.The first week I programmed a back-up alarm on my phone in case this clock failed, but I have not yet been let down by this clock. I have had it now for about 18 months, and it works great every morning. I enjoy that it has a small antenna cord on the back that picks up local radio stations, so I have it setup to use a country station as my wake up tone. I like that it turns on at a lower volume and gradually turns it up so I don’t have the shock of super loud music waking me up.I wish the display brightness automatically adjusted to the room’s brightness, but I’m not really in my bedroom during the day anyway trying to read the time, so for me it’s not a huge inconvenience. I keep the brightness level turned all the way down, and it is perfect for me to see at night. Dim enough not to keep me awake, and bright enough to read at 3:00 am.The wireless charger has worked great so far, there have only been a few times that it didn’t charge my phone overnight, but that was due to user error and/or a cat bumping it in the middle of the night. There is also a USB port on the back that I use to charge other devices.My daughter purchased a similar clock from this brand in a different color, and hers has been just as reliable as mine.

Cool little desk top clock/charger
It really is pretty looking wood and the charger works perfectly. Easy to set up, simple. The display brightness level is easily adjusted from very bright to dim, a nice feature. The speaker looks impressive but the amp driving it is a little weak in sound quality but it is, after all, a small radio so no harm, no foul. Many wireless chargers can get the phone too hot and that’s a problem. This one makes them a little warm but never hot. Nice desk top (for me) gadget and would work well for your night stand but the display does not auto dim though that function is done very easy with the snooze/dim bar on the front of the top part. Recommended? Yes.

Checks all the boxes for a modern alarm clock radio
I tried a few and almost all of the modern alarm clocks fail in some fashion or another. So far, not this one. It excels where others pale in comparison. I was looking for an alarm clock with radio (important, beeps just aggravate me), and wireless charging for my phone.Radio: FM only, but I live in a rich FM area so that’s not a drawback. The volume can be set with an analog potentiometer and it actually works for both listening and alarm level. Another alarm had a digital setting for this, it ignored it for the alarm and could only slowly rise to ear-piercing levels. This one does that slow rise but lands at the preset level you choose with the volume control and that is fantastic.Wireless charging: the pad is a fairly large non-slip area and even with my iPhone with camera protrusion, it easily finds the spot and charges without issue. It can be aggravating with other devices trying to find the sweet spot for charging. This one just works.Brightness: it’s got 5 dimming levels, from nicely readable in daylight to very dim (perfect for sleeping), and even one more which turns off the display altogether. What a great feature – other clocks I used to have to use LightDims to block out a lot of the nasty LED light that can keep you awake. This one is perfect (I got the wood veneer with yellow LED model).There is only one alarm setting, but I use the phone alarms to help get me going so I’m fine with the single alarm on this. In an ideal world, this would also have an AM tuner but I’ll be OK without that. Oh and the USB charging port works well and charges simultaneously with the wireless pad – perfect for those like me with multiple devices. I have an iPhone and a DAP and I can get them both to 100% by wake-up time.I’m thankful to have found this one – extremely easy to set up and use, and it just works. Of course I have only had it for a week, but I’m totally satisfied right now.

what’s not to like?
for starters, this device is about as basic as it gets for a clock radio but for the $, it seems to do those basics well enough. we have the “wooden” variety and with the yellow display on a wood nightstand, it’s a nice match. the digital display is large and quite viewable from an angle. not sure why the average person would need it on the brightest setting, but it’s available. the lower settings work well at bedtime and the display can be turned off. it’s a very soft light day or night and well done.while the single speaker has the ability to flex and possibly produce some base, don’t expect any worthwhile fidelity out of this thing. it’s plain. in fact, i feel that my cell has better fidelity. did not try to set any stations, but it seems like one can scan from high to low as well as low to high. it comes with an antenna attached that does the job. it’s fm only and while some weaker stations had static, the stronger ones were quite clear.it replaces an older box bought in the late 70s that was also digital. it came with a pair of detached speakers, tone controls and a cassette player. you could wake to anything. couldn’t recall the last time i use the cassette though but it was well over 25 years. bottom line, this newbie was half the size with about a third of the features but esthetically, quite attractive. more than anything, we wanted that look. the bonus is the wireless charging feature – just lay your cell on top.

Love this clock. You sorry the phone on top and it charged while you sleep. 2 nit pics. 1. If you don’t get the phone on just right it won’t charge. 2. The 5 levels of dimmable light is great until you accidently his the dimmer which is easy to do when place the phone down and you get an immediate retina burn as it goes to 100%. All that said is but this again

Looks great, always wakes me up. Easy to read from across the room too, and the radio gets good reception. Only suggestion would be an bigger “alarm on” sign than the thin bell outline between under the colon, preferably one that displays the alarm time.I recommend this alarm clock.

Pretty nice clock, but with some issues
TL;DR: Good Clock and Charger, Radio is kinda annoying to tune, Alarm is too loud and can’t be adjusted.While the adjustable brightness and the wireless charger work pretty well, the alarm is just WAY too loud, and doesn’t justify the lack of a volume switch (I have a hearing sensitivity, so it hurts my ears a bit).The radio is ok, but it’s such a pain to try to get good reception with just the single wire (I can excuse this feature since I don’t really listen to radio a lot, and I might not be in the best area to use it, but it’s still a little disappointing that I can’t get the feature to work that well).An ok product overall, but the lack of an adjustable alarm volume is kind of a deal breaker for me.
