Beautiful but small
Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship, but very small. Definitely not an average tea or coffee cup size. It holds about 4 ounces.

Very well made
Ordered two wood coffee mugs about a week ago. One is Bamber wood coffee mug and the other is Nuliah Nordic handmade Kuksa 2 holes coffee mug. Bamber has better quality as of now anyway. Have used both less than 20x each. For both hot tea and black coffee. Hot but not from boiling point right away.Initially, soaked both in warm water with salt for 4 hours. Had to put a ceramic bowl on top to weigh it down otherwise the wooden mugs won’t stay submerged. Wiped it dry then rubbed olive oil on it with paper towel and let the oil soak for 24 hours or so. Reapplied halfway. Wiped off the extra olive oil then used the mug. Nuliah has instructions on the product page about soaking in salted water then rubbing oil on it. Bamber did not say the wood needed this treatment but I chose to do the same process on both anyway. Not sure what the salted water bath and oil is supposed to do. Product page did not say anything about it. Tried to research. I am assuming salt as a preservative and oil for moisture retention so the wood does not crack? I have been handwashing the mugs with soap and rinsing it well. Wiped it dry right away then rub a bit of olive oil on it. Only need a little. Wipe off excess. I do this every single time I use the mugs.BAMBER MUG– smooth all around including inside the handle holes, does not smell, lighter weight, holds about 6oz. Has not leaked so far, made of rubberwood(natural latex producer– may want to check if rubberwood is treated with chemicals to protect the wood against fungal and insect attacks)NULIAH HANDMADE KUKSA 2 HOLE MUG — smooth except inside the handle holes and around the same area, smells and has not dissipated as yet– a bit nauseating when you put the mug close to your face, bottom part of mug is heavier than the Bamber mug and feels more solid, holds about 6oz., some pores are leaking– I don’t know what wood it is. Small carabiner and short leather cord came with mine but I removed it.

Average
The description is misleading; it states 12ounces capacity; not hardly. At best it is 6 ounces.

Not the biggest but it is the BEST!
Honestly this cup is do much fun and cute to drink out of! It is small, so keep that in mind. But for a fantastic coffee experience it is wonderful!Only downside is the bottom gets easily stuck to some surface tops (from suction) best to use a costerIt gives you this feeling of being fancy! Will be buying more

Nice
Exactly as I’d expected, no better or worse. I got this because I liked the idea of a wooden cup – lightweight, doesn’t get too hot, not easily breakable, plus this one has a handle, which I like. I also like how the overall shape and wood material feel when I hold it. My mom noticed there’s a slight wood taste in her tea after leaving it in there for a while. And I don’t love how thick it is at the lip. But all in all, cute and usable enough.

Love this cup!
Cup is crazy light weight and comfortable to drink from. I’ve used mine for over a month and it still looks and performs like new. I don’t let liquids sit in it. After I’m done drinking my coffee, I dry it out. Before I store it, I wipe it down with a little olive oil. That system seems to be working for me. I bought this cup for camping but I’ve loved it so much, I use it at home a lot.

The trade name “Bamber” is on the underside of the kuksa. It has a sticker on the box indicating it was made in China.
The craftsmanship is excellent. It looks like it was made in Finland, as a traditional kuksa would have been. It’s a good size. I don’t recommend using it but it’s a great gift – the kuksa in Finland goes for typically 38-45 euros so getting this was such a good deal. I couldn’t pass it up.

Renaissance Faire
I bought this for my preschooler to use at the Renaissance Faire. It didn’t have any weird smell or anything, and it’s light enough that he could easily wear it on his belt. Every SINGLE time he drank out of It, people would tell me how cute he was. I’m very happy with this purchase.

CANNOT GET IT WET…
Maybe I missed something. I ordered this as a gift for my son-in-law who is a forestry guy, thinking it would be a great at-work gift for him — apparently, it cannot get wet! Again, maybe I missed something in the product description, but maybe this review will help others not make the same mistake….so much for a cup.

Smaller than expected, cheap feeling, not recommended
Much smaller than expected, very light and “empty” feeling. Feels like a lower quality than I expected as well. I thought this would be a clever addition to my coffee and tea mugs, but after using it once or twice it’s going in the back of the cupboard and probably won’t get used again. I wouldn’t recommend this mug.

It’s a wooden mug!!!
The media could not be loaded.
I was way happier with this mug that I had anticipated. To start, it’s a wooden cup and that in itself is awesome, not to mention that fact that it is made out of one piece of wood so hopefully that means that it will last a while without cracking.I fully intend to use this for water or other beverages. I am not a coffee drinker so I won’t be using it for that but I drink a ton of water and occasionally other beverages and I look forward to trying this for those. The main reason I wanted this (other than to look super rad while drinking) is that I can use it while camping and I don’t have to worry about it being damaged in transit.Because this is wood you don’t want it to be wet for too long. Mostly this is the case when you are washing it, obviously since it is made to be drank from it has to hold liquids but you don’t want it to be saturated forever, ie: don’t use it as a vase. When you wash this dry it after and hand wash it, you shouldn’t put wooden things in the dishwasher as a rule anyway (I learned that from Martha Stewart).I have included a video of this with more detail and dimensions. I will say that this is incredibly lightweight, surprisingly lightweight really, and it is very comfortable to hold. This would make a great gift for a lot of different people. I know I personally would be thrilled to receive this as a gift.Overall, this is cool, lightweight, comfortable and oh, did I mention it’s cool?! I’m super impressed with this mug but I am a fan of unique items and this certainly fits the bill.I received this complimentary product for my honest and unbiased review.

Naturally insulated and non breakable wooden cup carved out of a single piece of wood.
This cup is very well crafted and has great design. The bottom is flat and stable and the handle is nice to hold and provides a great grip which is amazing as it is carved from one solid piece of wood, which means that it won’t chip or break off easily. It is crafted from rubber wood, a type of hardwood that’s softer than birch but harder than mahogany. It gives a smooth grain and finish to the cup but it does stain, and if left wet for long periods of time can develop fungus. So it is advisable to hand wash this cup, not microwave or expose to heat near a burner, and wipe it dry or let it dry on a ventilated rack. This wood is often used for large salad bowls or smaller bowls too, and it does darken with salad oil but it lends a rustic charm to the table.Natural wood is non toxic and safe to drink out of, especially if it’s not been treated with any harmful finishing sealants. This cup is suited for water, or I have seen Asian restaurants serve Sake in wood cups to keep it cold longer. Wood is a natural insulating material so it keeps hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold. I would not advise drinking coffee with milk and cream in it but otherwise it’s ok to drink out of it. The interior will darken after a while but that’s the beauty of weathered wood.I got it as a gift for a hiker who loves the outdoors and natural material drinkware and he was very pleased with this naturally insulating, non breakable cup that he can take to his hikes and use for beer or tea. A nice item for someone who loves natural materials and the outdoors.[Received a free product sample for evaluation and review]

Bamber’s wood coffee mug looks great, has lots of uses and is priced perfectly for yourself or as a gift
Bamber is a brand I am just hearing about this year, and they are creating some great products that for me can be both functional and decorative. When it comes to this wood coffee mug, I am using it purely in a decorative way.Mine was provided to me in exchange for an honest review, and though I don’t plan on drinking out of it I love all of the extras that it has that makes it a great cup and a show piece for sure. First of all the size is perfect, the handle is large enough you can hold it without any problems and it has a large enough mouth to the cup that makes it great for holding candy, paper clips or just empty on your bookcase or mantle.Love the design of it and the way it really looks a whole lot more expensive than it is.Great product to keep for yourself or to gift to a family member or friend that will appreciate it. Either way you can’t go wrong with this purchase.
