Love tegu
Love tegu products. Children are always amused by magnets. Can’t blame them I am too. This is a nice take on magnetic toys for young children. No parts to lose but still get to play with the principles of magnetic.

Such a fun, unique toy!
First of all I feel great about this company and what they are trying to do. Their products are high quality and we’ve purchased several things from them. When we had our second, I wanted to get him a little something for his birthday that was new and saw this! Both he and his older brother love it! It’s so unique and has a lot of value over the months as they develop their physical skills.

It was a hit with the 14 month old!
I search for toys that will last and are classic – not cheaply made or based on some TV/Movie character. That usually means a wooden toy. This was purchased as a gift for the toddler whose family I visited. Initially he wasn’t too sure about it, but once he warmed up to it (and me), he was all over the swivel bug. It moves easily and always snaps back thanks to the embedded magnet. A very clever design. I would recommend.

Good toy but the baby doesn’t care about it
I really like this toy but my 10 month old doesn’t really care for it. I am not sure if she’ll grow into liking it.The toy is very well made!

Amazing Toy!
I bought this for my 7 month old son, and he absolutely loves it! It keeps him busy for minutes (since that’s his attention span these days!). He likes to pull on it, chew on it and move all the pieces around. I don’t have to worry about him pinching himself or biting a piece off, which I love! I would definitely recommend!

Not that interesting for baby
I bought this for my 10 month old to entertain him on a flight. It’s really not that interesting for him. He’s now a year old and while I’ve been trying to make this toy “happen” for him for the past few months, he’s been supremely uninterested. He can twist it and move it and all, but it’s just not… fun. Too bad! I love wooden toys, but I’d pass on this one. Additionally, he’s a biter and he not only bit some of the paint off, but he actually bit the WOOD off to the point of splinters. Thankfully no sharp ones to injure himself, I just found him covered in tiny wood chips after a 20 minute drive home. So yeah, I’m tossing this one sadly.

Very cute
A simple and darling toddler toy. The magnets are gentle enough to be safe and strong enough to encourage investigation by curious minds and hands.

4/5
Awesome little wooden toy. The reason for a 3/5 is that the elastic is about to break on one side of the magnet. It’s holding on by a few threads currently. We’ve only had it for a few months, I buy wood toys for a healthy toy alternative and so that they last. This probably won’t make it past month 3. Sad! Normally love tegu!

Good but leaves something to be desired
I generally like Tegu products a lot. This one feels small compared to how I imagined it. It’s sturdy but I worry that the elastic will wear out over time and I worry that my kid doesn’t seem as interested in it as I had hoped.

Simple and Fun
i like that this toy is constructed of wood and has a simple, clean design.I like that this toy is made of wood and has a simple, modern look. My 3-year old grandson was mildly interested at first – there were other, noisier and flashier toys opened to play with. But later he came back to it and seemed quite intrigued by its flexible twisting and snapping pieces.,

Baby prefers other less expensive toys more
If you are on the fence about whether to buy this Tegu block rattle/teether, I would say don’t get it. This is based on watching a 6-7 month old baby with it.When I first presented it to my baby, there was a lot of smiling and she eagerly started exploring it and tried to get the beads. It is sturdy and visually appealing. But the practical features of it just makes this fail. The magnets are holding the block pieces together AND the whole thing is held very tightly by strong bungee cord. And it is among one of her heavier rattles. There is not much to do with this toy as a baby’s hand strength and coordination cannot fathom how to pull the bug’s wings apart to manipulate the body. Older kids can (this toy is actually played with more by the two and four year old toddlers) but babies cannot. So after about a minute of exploring it, the baby drops this toy.And when given a choice, the baby reaches for other toys. In these pictures, she is choosing an Oball, Baby Einstein Bendy, and Jumbo Foam Die OVER the Tegu Bug Teether. So I say use your money for one or even two cheaper toys.2 people found this helpful

Versatile toy that my toddler loves!
I bought this as a stocking stuffer for my 13-month-old. He didn’t care at all about opening his stocking, but LOVED this toy! He enjoys pulling in apart and letting the sides snap back together. He also enjoys shaking it to hear the little wood beads rattle side-to-side. He’s been banging it on everything and it’s holding up well (no chips, dents, or cracks…and he bangs hard). I love it because it fits in my diaper bag easily so we can bring it when we travel or go to restaurants. Highly recommend (we have the red “ladybug”).

My baby doesn’t understand what to do with it. Me neither.
My baby doesn’t get it. All their other products are really good, but this one is kind of meh, there is no so much you can do with it since the bar in the middle is always magnetized by one of the sides and doesn’t move. I’m planning to cut the string and use the parts to play on the fridge

Great for babies and grown-ups alike!
I got this during the Prime Day launch, and it has become a favorite of my son and I often get people asking me where I got it from 🙂 He shakes it to rattle, pulls it apart and does a pretty funny baby Hulk impression and use it as a teether as well. The magnetic pulls make it a very therapeutic implement for adults too! Only downside is that a little of the blue paint has chipped off, but my son does have a hard bite and sharp teeth -__-

Fun but build quality slightly lacking
I bought this gift for my child who likes to twist it and see it snap back together. One qualm I have is the quality of the product in which some of the wood is chipped. If not watched out for can cause a splinter in those who play with it. A little hodgepodge to cover helps prevent further wooden splinters or cracks in that area of my product.

Great teether for my 4.5 mo
Was gifted one of these for my LO. She’s 4.5 months old and LOVES it! Keeps her entertained for up to 20 mins (a long time for her.) Love that it’s safe wood and not plastic. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, Durable, Fun toy
Super cute toy! I purchased it for my eight-month-old for Christmas. She’s not quite strong enough to pull the magnets yet, but it’s very durable for teething and works as a rattle as well. It’s very designed and beautifully simple.
