Light shuts off by itself, other design flaws
UPDATE:Still super frustrated over the light given my specific enquiry, and indeed my kiddo now refuses to use it. HOWEVER he does absolutely love this thing despite the light.Additional notes for whoever has to deal with assembly and child-use:other reviews are correct. Instructions are not at all clear. We winged all the side paneling assembly. It also includes those super fun screws you have to line up perfectly with weird little metal inserts that you can’t see…. And the holes did not line up for us on any of the side paneling stuff. ( yay! )The book case does indeed constantly pop out, leaving that entire side exposed. In the end, we just removed the entire book case, secured a king size sheet over the entire structure to make it into a tent-like fort, stuck a twin size fitted sheet over the bottom to act as a floor when he rips the actual floor cushion out, and called it a day.We also added some of that baby proofing foam people use on edges to cover the top of the circle opening, because my kid was constantly slamming his head into it or scraping his back along it.Now he basically lives in it. And miraculously, he instantly began sleeping much better upon moving into it…. so I’m actually pretty ecstatic, despite the horror of the assembly and the light ( which was the entire reason I initially chose this ) not working out.A super happy accident.————————-This is a one star review because I SPECIFICALLY ASKED if it would shut off and was assured it would not. I don’t know how long the timer is, but it is definitely there and my kid doesn’t like it. Having a star projector that wouldn’t shut off by itself was a big reason I even got the darn thing. I haven’t even tried putting the rest of it together yet, and I guess now I won’t in case I end up having to return the whole silly thing over a daggon auto shut off which my kid hates.

With a few tweaks could be better.
It’s decent for the money . Was kind of a pain to put together only because the fabric side that’s a book holder wouldn’t stay in place. The plastic dowels have too much flex in them and just fall out. Replacing these with wooden dowels would make this feature work. Also my kiddo who is 4 tried to pull the fabric cover off and the snaps just ripped completely out. It’s an ok book nook/ fort, but I wouldn’t buy again.

Awesome for children, edges are not soft.
Had to buy split foam noodle with adhesive for the hole to crawl through safely. Front and back entrances could use some foam on the edges as well. I would buy again as is.

Cute and open ended
I added the food pillows.Very challenging to assemble. One screw snapped off and had to be drilled out. Assemble this where you want it!!! I had to disassemble it to get it through an adjoining room!I plan to use this as a quiet area in my Special Day Class PreSchool class…we’ll see how it holds up.I like the openness and snap curtains so that I can monitor the student unobtrusively. I like the little pouches for small books or sensory items.

Not sturdy
This may be very cute, but it’s high annoying. It shifts back and forth and the part that you put books in constantly falls down and it’s really a pain in the butt. The design needs to be better with making it more sturdy. And it would be nice for the cover on the pad to be removable to wash.

Sturdy
Got a great deal on this open box, but the light didn’t work. We already had a beloved night light, so not a big deal to me, but can’t speak to it. The playhouse itself looks very nice and is super sturdy. My kid loves crawling through the hole in the side.

Great idea but not very good quality
It looks very cute but the part that supposed to hold books or toys keeps falling out few times a day . Very annoying. And mattress smells awful when we just opened it. With some kind of chemicals or something.

Great quality, easy build
At first I thought “oh no it’s wooden that means I can’t fold it and put it away” but it actually looks beautiful when put together. It was easy to do myself—I even took it apart and rebuilt it upstairs (it’s a bit too wide for our staircase) and it’s very sturdy. Absolutely worth the price, made my daughter very happy. Let the little mattress pad thingie air out for a day or two.

Nice idea, not the same as oictured
This wooden reading nook is a great idea. The instructions read like IKEA instructions. The holes did not line up in a couple of spots. Had to improvise to have the blue flap snap in place as there weren’t the pre drilled holes like on the other side and as shown in the picture. . I have many Little Tikes products and have never had issues with putting anything together. This is the first wooden item I have purchased. Also the last. I’m only keeping it due to it being a gift to my grandson and the hassle of taking it apart and shipping it back. Otherwise it would be returned. For the cost of it, I would have tried IKEA.

Missing hardware
It would probably be great if we could assemble it. Unfortunately it didn’t come with any of the hard wear to put it together so it’s just a stack of wood. We’ve reached out to have the parts sent to us and never heard back.

Worst product I’ve ever tried to assemble
Please don’t buy this product. You will be frustrated and potentially destroy it to get your rage out. Incredibly frustrating to assemble and little to no help from the instructions. Horrible quality and horrible customer support. The holes were misaligned – DO NOT BUY.

Don’t be cocky
This review is for the Dad’s that think this would be easy. Let me start with this assembly almost resulted in me divorcing my wife…jk.-step one is the the isocleses trapazoid to the leg piece. you get the flat head screw that has to line up to this silo piece you put in to lock the screw in. this is where the pain is felt right away. it moves around on you when trying to put that screw on. sure you get the first one in because you can see it but the second one, you are blind and since it’s loose and has room, you might just force the screw through and not connect it right and in turn make it darn near impossible to get out. Manufacturer should provide a piece that’s stronger and fits appropriate in the space, they do that, you save literally 30-45 minutes on this build-steps 3-5, fun stuff here. there’s wooden dowels, three of them. only one of them is screwed to connect to the display, the other two are fit by tension…so when you assemble in the later stages, those poles are coming right out. This is why 2 PEOPLE are recommended to avoid this headache.-congrats on getting to step 6+. you have the top part that needs to connect to the isocleses trapazoid, make sure you note the little holes on one side only is in the right direction! and make sure you line up the screw holes correctly…all while keeping it upright and providing tension so the poles don’t fall out! After this process, the rest is pretty easy. Congrats on completing. My 3 and half year old son loves it. Like a little hiding spot from his 1 year old sister. He’s “reading” in the area and slept in it the very first night…but of course he got out about 1am and woke up my wife to sleep in our bed, but hey, he started there at least right?I’m not sure how i can get this out of the room because i do not want to disassemble this and reassemble…so when i sell this house in 17 years, the new owners will have to accept it.Have a good day.

Cute but just okay quality
Super cute, the book storage is just a plastic balanced plastic tube with a fabric sling, my kids pull it out often. The fabric covers snap in and are not the exact size of the snaps resulting in the fabric tearing when all snaps are secured.

Pros and Cons! Overall it’s worth it.
The media could not be loaded.
Pros:A lot bigger then I’d thoughtIt was on saleIt’s a cute little space for your little one to hangoutCuteCons:-Took awhile to set up because of the screws not wanting to screw properly (literally 2+ hours)-The rods for the books are flimsy, they should’ve been better built-Some pieces in general should’ve been better builtOverall though I do like this! My son should be able to use it for awhile.I did have to actually use a power drill though. The angles that the screws have to be screwed are just super awkward.
