Product has small parts
I had to return this. I ordered it as a gift for my nephew’s 2nd birthday. The item description says ages 2 thru 6, but when I received it, the box said it is for ages 3+. It has some small parts (wooden nuts). Other than the incorrect description, the toy looked fun for a child of the appropriate age.

Small pieces
The description includes 2 year olds. I’m buying this for one of our employees nephews. It’s his 2nd birthday. The pieces are a bit small for little ones. Use your best judgement.

Would totally buy again!
My boys have LOVED this sweet little box! They love to build different things with it each time they use it. It’s definitely more for my 6 year old, but with his big brothers help my 3 year old definitely dives in with him. It’s very durable and worth the money!

Great idea, Very Poor execution.
I love the idea of this. That’s why I bought it for our son’s 4th birthday. I still love the idea, but the execution is very poor here.It only comes with 6 screws. 2 Flathead, 2 Phillips and 2 slightly longer bolts. The screws and bolts are not made if one piece of wood. The screw itself is one piece, and the the head of the screw and bolt are another piece, glued on. Any kind of torque and the head pops off. Rendering them useless. It does come with a a small pamphlet showing different building ideas. The problem with that, is everything requires 3-6 screws. If one or two gets lost, it cuts the building plans considerably.Several of the plans require the bolt type to be used because they are longer. Well with only two if them, that also cuts down what you can actually build. So we’re 3 days in, have a broken screw, a lost screw, and a broken bolt. Not much can be built with 3 shirt screws. Luckily my son loves the wooden tools, but he’s constantly asking for help to build things that can’t be built.I really do wish the screws were more sturdy, and that more were included.A lot of the blocks that have been drilled out for the screws, were painted after being drilled, making the fit incredibly difficult. Hence why we have a broken screw and broken bolt. They don’t screw in to holes easily. The case is sufficient, and the tools are cute. That’s the only positives here.I unfortunately can not recommend this, to anyone.

Great quality.
We got this for our 18 mo daughter b/c she loves to use our tools but obviously that’s easier said then done. She loves having her OWN tools and brings them out whenever we do a project now. The wooden tools are colorful, sanded well, easy for her to use PLUS they all store back into the case when we are finished with them. They’ll definitely be something she can play with for a while too, with the different building options included in the kit. Highly recommend.

My daughter’s absolutely love this.
It was a great Christmas gift for my younger daughter that likes to tinker with stuff. All 3 of my daughters now play with it together. It’s all quality materials and I love that it is all wood. No weak plastics involved and it also gives them the opportunity to practice cleaning up and keeping things organized with the tool box that everything comes in. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with kids looking to get them a tool set. This is a great start!

Adorable Toddler tools
2.5 years old is a tough age range for which to buy gifts. My dear friend has a little boy who wants to help his big brother (9) build stuff, but not get into trouble. This set is perfect! Each little smiling tool will warm his heart and buikd confidence. They come with a big boy toolbox that clasps together. They are all bright and vibrant wooden tools, that feel sturdy. They have little slots for them to hold in place, and there are little screws and bolt sets to help with fine motor skill development. This looks as well made as the more expensive M and D sets but more affordable and more tools! A fun addition might be a small tape measurer if you feel safe with that. Otherwise, honestly this set was cute, I have no doubt it will be well loved. My brother had a little wooden tool set when he was around the same age, and to this day it was one of his best remembered gifts.

Durability and use
This is to be used by small children ages 4 to 6 yet as an adult he calls the grooves in top of the screws weren’t actually carved in very deep I had a difficult time actually getting the screwdriver to stay in the Philips head and the Flathead. I don’t see how a 4-year-old is supposed to learn to use tools with this if the grooves cut out are so shallow and the screwdriver doesn’t even fit in as well as a normal screw does with the normal screwdriver

Durable and kept a 3 year old’s interest with adult help.
Very compact and nicely finished wood pieces. Should have included a Phillips head screwdriver instead of 2 flathead as there were compatible screws to each.

Not a lot of building options, nuts and bolts are either too loose or too tight
If your child has a GIGANTIC imagination, this toy might be fine for them! My son adores the STEM toys for building trucks, dinosaurs, etc, with screws and tools. This, however was a dud at our house. It’s nearly impossible to fit all the pieces back in the box, so a background of Tetris is a requirement. The hammer doesn’t “hammer” anything. There are no instructions for building anything, though this is not necessarily a requirement, see my first sentence. I wouldn’t buy this again.

My daughter wanted a tool box. This was not the best for a 3year old, at least for mines. Definitely needs help with building things and not that fun honestly. There’s better ones out there.

the first day we were playing with it, the flathead tip started to chip. It’s not that great of a set. we kept it because we liked that we could make a car or whatever so that was interesting. the quality is okay.

Great customer service
EDIT: I’m changing my original rating to five stars after the seller got in touch with me with an apology and provided a replacement. I understand that technology is not always perfect and things can be hectic around the holidays but I’m glad that this company stands behind their product and will go out of their way to make things right!ORIGINAL: I’m really disappointed in the company, the product itself is good but it came without any of the nuts and only one of the connecting blocks so we can’t really build anything. I tried contacting the seller through their email and they haven’t gotten back to me. It’s a real shame because my son loves playing around with the pieces and the one connecting block that we do have.

A cute little set, though not enough pieces to build
The set is a great little tinker toy. Though I will say, the amount screws is lacking, there aren’t enough for her to actually build more than a piece or two. There are no pieces for her to actually hammer down. Still a cool little gift for her, she just uses the tools to “fix” other things.

Cute Tool Kit
I know my 3 year Granddaughters are going to love this. One is very into building and this will be perfect. As someone stated below if giving as a gift, open it up first and put stickers on and straighten out tool box. I put some bubble wrap in the inside to hold smaller pieces in place so it looks put together when they open.

Loose Fitting Pieces
My nephew loved this gift, and because the case is blank, I was able to put a custom decal on it. My one complaint is that the pieces fit very loosely into the box, so when you open it, everything gets jumbled up, even if it’s put back neatly.

Great little tool set!
Update: We’ve had this over 9 months now and it looks about as crispy new as when we got it!! The kids still play with it very often, so I’d say it’s very durable! I gave another star because almost all the sets out there at this price range would need more pieces to build anything significant. I found some used tinker pieces to go with this and it’s great!Original:I got this tool set for my 4 & 2 year old daughters. They love pretending to fix things. I love how this set came in a case that has areas for all the pieces. It locks shut so everything doesn’t spill out everywhere. I think the faces on the tools make it really cute and help girls to know they can use tools too. I gave it 4 stars because if we’re going to build multiple objects, I’ll have to get some more “parts”, but it gives enough to have a good start. The set seems well made so it should last a long time. My boy nephews came over and played with it for an hour or two and it looks just the same as when I got it, so I’m happy with that. I wanted a wood set because so many of my kids toys are plastic and who knows what’s in all that plastic. Overall I’d say I’m glad I ordered this set and would do it again!

Could be better
It’s good if you want to teach your kid to use the different tools, but gettting the plastic ones might be better. This set, the screw’s length wasn’t designed well. It’s either too long or too short to make the craft in the pictures. The nuts are loosely fitted. Two different screw sets have the same length. Either they took the picture from a different product or the photos of the crafts are taken at an angle that doesn’t show the shortcomings of the screw lengths.

Poor quality and not built to last
I is love the idea of this toy buy it is not built to last. The elastic to hold tools in place is flimsy and toys have to be put back strategically to get tool box closed. My toddler has forced us shut many times and I think the hinges are barely hanging on.

Awesome tool set!
We were looking for a wooden tool set that comes with parts to make something, not just the tools. My 2.5y.o. son really likes this one. He can’t screw with the screwdriver well yet, so the tool set will still be interesting to him for a while I think. I appreciate that everything in the set is wooden, as we try to avoid plastic. It’s a great set, especially for the price! My partner and my son have been really enjoying playing and making cars, etc.

Good idea, mediocre quality
The tool kit was an awesome Christmas gift and my son loves it. However, the quality of the screws given the nature of use for them is not quite good enough. As my son was using the screws, the head of some came off. The heads were glued on so any pressure on the head from rotating caused the bond from the glue to break. Otherwise, the tool kit was an awesome purchase.

Perfect gift for toddlers!
I purchased this tool box for my 2yo. He loves it and it keeps him busy! It is very hard to keep him entertained otherwise. When we moved to a new house 4 months back, we disassembled our furniture and he used to take and play with our screw drivers! Thats when i started searching for a tool set and found this. I gifted this set to my son, it has plier, wrench, screws, screw drivers, nuts and bolts… and a cutr little box to keep them. It helps in motor skills and also imagination! Its sturdy and durable as its been couple of months and everything is good, nothing is broken, colors have not faded.. Totally worth money!

Not functional or safe
This children’s toy kit seems like a great idea and if it worked as depicted it would be an excellent gift for a child. However, there’s two main problems that make this item not functional or safe for a small child. The first problem is that the screws don’t fit into the sockets properly. It’s possible to screw them in a little way but then they start to make an awful squeaking noise and eventually get stuck. This makes it essentially impossible to create the cars, planes, etc depicted. The second is that the wooden screwdrivers are not well built, especially for the amount of force required to turn the screws. It’s clear that any prolonged use of the screwdrivers will lead to the tips breaking and splintering, which is not safe for a small child to be playing with. Same goes for the wooden screws themselves. If a kid just wanted the tools to play pretend then I can almost see a use case for this tool set. However, non-functional wooden play tools can be purchased for a fraction of the price of this wooden set.

Perfect intro wooden toolset for my 4-year-old nephew.
This was such a fun gift to give! It comes with basic tools with the names so that kids can start to identify them. Plus to be able to carry it around as a tool case is so fun for them. My nephew is all about pretending right now, so getting to now practice being a builder, construction worker, etc is great. And my favorite part of that there are a few little projects you can build. I had a great time helping my nephew use the right tools to put together a little race car. Great STEM product!
