Awesome toy
We bought this for our son’s 2nd birthday. He loves toy animals, and this was definitely a hit. He stopped opening presents after opening this one because he was just so ready to play with it. We’ve now had it about eight months and he still plays with it often. It’s held up well and he continues to find things to do with it. Originally he just liked opening the doors and putting the animals inside. Now he talks about the next in the hayloft (although it doesn’t come with a chicken) and feeds his horse at the corn bin on the side. It’s also become a hideout for action figures for his 5 year old brother, so it’s a hit all around in our house. I was worried about quality and durability, but once the product arrived, I was very impressed. It’s held up with no issues. I’m shocked it was only about $20 before tax for the quality. My only complaint has more to do with my son than the product, but the floor on one side of the barn slides under the floor on the other side when you close it, so if the animals are on the lower side, it won’t close until you move them all. Not a big hassle unless your 2 year old wants them specifically on the wrong side and cries if you move his animals. Still, you can’t just slam it closed with the animals on the inside. It’s easier to close it and then shove all the animals in which is a little annoying, but not worthy of removing a star in my book. The hours of play it’s given both my kids has been fantastic and I have no doubt it will hold up for the infant to also use. It came with a few animals and a farmer. We bought a second set (from a competitor) of farm animals and now the barn is full, complete with a chicken for the nest.

Cute but strapping tape a pain
Super excited to give to my granddaughter, but wish there wasn’t so much strapping tape inside that has threads in it and is difficult to get off and clean the sticky residue.

Perfect Barn Toy
I wanted a decent sized barn for my 1 year old. But no noises, no lights, no crazy tricks, and I wanted it to fit on my son’s shelf. Bing. Bang. Boom. Here it is. It’s a basic barn that opens, the doors open, and the details are adorable. Comes with a good starter set of animals.My boy is OBSESSED with this toy. For the last 3 months every morning we wake up, change his diaper, then immediately he wants the barn off the shelf and open.I absolutely purchased the “expansion set” with more animals/people/a tractor for when he gets a bit older.

Non stop toddler fun!
UPDATE Nov 2021My review below was from over a year ago but my daughter who is almost 4 is still super into this barn and her younger brother, 18 month old, also loves this barn. I’m so glad I bought this. I still recommend buying more farm animals.———————————-Got this for our 2 year old daughter. She played with it non stop for about one hour after opening it. She absolutely loves it. This is great a toy for their imaginations. I love the top handle so she can easily transport it from room to room hassle free, which is very important for her because she’s a toddler and she loves being independent! I do plan on buying more animals though. I wish it came with more barn animals. I think the recommended age is 3+. My daughter is almost 2.5 years old and I don’t see any possible choking hazards with it. The barn itself is a very hard plastic so I can see it lasting a very long time. The barn animals seem durable as well but I think with time they’ll be replaced because they’ll get lost and not replaced they’ll get damaged or anything like that. I highly recommend this for your kids and as a gift!

Wonderful toy!
I bought this Battat barn (along with the additional tractor, wagon and figures) for our grandsons to play with at our house. It was a hit with them AND with me. I grew up with the Fisher-Price barn and loved it, but in this days, Battat is where it’s at. It’s bright, sturdy, and colorful, easy to clean (one of my little grandsons had a cold and was mouthing the farmers and their animals) and provides lots of imaginative fun. I highly recommend this toy.

Amazing value for your money!
I love this barn! It opens like my barbie houses use to so it makes it fun for little ones and easy storage. As the other reviews states it is a great size for the price. It comes with 5 or 6 pieces that my little one loves to carry around. My only complaint is the little doors that open/shut do not latch closed well. One of the 3 stalls doesn’t close all the way (not a big deal, for now because my LO is only 18 months) and the main opening barn doors on front pop off easily. That part is a little disappointing because the kids get aggravated and no way they can put back on without assistance. Not enough to knock off a star though. Overall I’m happy with it!*Update* – It’s been 2 years since we pulled this out of the box & my daughter still loves it. Many toys she never touches again but this is one of her favorites out of everything. About every 2-3 months she’ll play with this thing nonstop for a while. This especially came in handy again during the Covid shutdown. Everything included is still holding up strong. I’d definitely buy this toy again!!!

Beautiful quality at an affordable price!
This play barn is beautiful! It is made very well and looks like it’s going to be very durable. I bought this because the barn I originally ordered ended up not being restocked soon enough, so I had to cancel that and choose something similar for my 2 year old son. He is obsessed with all things farm! I stumbled onto this, and I wasn’t sure at first whether to get this one or the FP Little People barn, but I decided to get this one because while my son has a ton of LP toys, he doesn’t really care about the music and noises they come with. I am super happy I chose this brand! It was a better price, and while it doesn’t light up or play music or sounds, it really is just beautiful to look at and has the feel of a play barn from the 50’s! It is great quality, much much sturdier than the plastic the LP toys are made of, and very rich, bright colors! I can’t wait to see his face when he opens this Christmas morning! Thank you, Battat, for making such a quality product at an affordable price!

The perfect barn!
I have a 2 year old grandson and wanted to find a barn for his animals. After looking at several, this one kept catching my eye and I am so glad it did. It folds out, is highly detailed without being overwhelming and is large enough that he has no trouble getting the animals in and out. It is on his toddler table so he can walk around from front to back while he is tending his animals. It is a beautiful dark red color, and even has a corn trough on the side under a window. It is very sturdy and opens and closes easily, yet stays closed for carrying. The first time he saw it, he squealed and ran to it and immediately started playing. We can even put his Thomas the Tank track through the double barn doors so the animals can ride into the barn in a wagon. I must mention the animals that come with it. They are so cute and well made. I love this!!! It is heirloom quality. Thank you for such an amazing toy.

Great Barn
My 18 month old loves this barn. It is one of her go to toys every single day. We talk about the animals and the sounds they make. She loves the doors and little feeding troth for us to pretend with. It’s a little hard for her open on her own which I like since it keeps the toy contained and the animals don’t get lost so easy. My only complaint is I wish it came with more animals. I bought some extra ones to have more variety.

nice little barn role play toy
My 3 year old son loves everything animals especially the little figurines. He does a lot of long healthy role play with his animals but do to a lack of tiny eco systems for him to play in the habitats tend to end up in the middle of the hallway or on the spine of the couch. He has quite a lot of farm figurines many of which are far more realistic then the animals that came in the farmhouse but they are sturdy and match the barn well. The barn is well made has 4 doors two levels and opens up into halves. It also has a lunch box style handle on top this has made it great for storing and cleaning up the little farm critters after play time.

We have multiple animal farms now
Originally purchased this for our first child when they were around 18months, she is 4 now and still loves playing with this so much that she won’t give it up to her younger sib now, so we had to buy another.At first we set up the farm in her room and she would play for hours, now that she is older, she likes that she can pack her farm animals inside and take around the house and in the yard to play when she wants. It has a little handle on the top and with a little practice she is pretty good transporting it around places on her own.If you are on the fence about getting this, personally I would say go for it, my kids loved it so much we had to buy two.

Fun for everyone!
I’m very happy with this barn. It’s small enough to fit in with any play area, but big enough to accommodate lots of toy animals from different manufacturers. It also has enough doors, windows, and details that two territorial toddlers can play at the same time – a HUGE positive! A win for everyone.

I got this for my son for his birthday in January, my boys are pretty destructive. He sits on top of it and it’s still not broken so it’s pretty durable. Most things they break within a couple months so I’m thoroughly impressed. And they love the cute little barn animals although I thought it was supposed to have a chicken but it doesn’t but it has a spot for a chicken nest so

I have a toddler (he just turned 2 for reference, but we’ve had it since about 18mo old) who is very active so I find it hard for him to sit down and play with toys that aren’t interactive and require imaginative play.This farm has been a LIFESAVER! If your child is into farm animals I highly recommend. It is such good quality, easy to open and my son loves adding his other toys to play with his farm.The first day I got it he played with it for almost 30 minutes! I loved it so much I bought it for his cousin who is also 2 and just as active and his parents tell me they got just as much play time out of it too. Buy it you won’t regret it!

The two year old farmer in my house loves this toy
This is a very sturdy toy, which closes up nicely and can be put away as needed. It comes with a set of small soft animals plus a farmer, and other larger animals visit as well. Sometimes they have to lie on their sides to get inside, but seem to be happy there. it has nice embossed troughs with imitation corn that our grandson enjoys feeding to the cows and pigs.

Better than the other options we were thinking about.
We have a lot of farm animals that needed a barn to live in. I was very pleased to find this toy barn for a decent price (especially given a competitor was asking $70 for theirs!) The barn arrived in a better quality that I expected and it was cuter in person than in the online photo. We also really liked the dark red coloring and cannot even begin to imagine how bright red the other color would have been. I also like that this barn is just a barn without bells, whistles, actions, singing, sounds, etc. – its just a barn cutely designed for pretend play. The animals included with the barn were cuter to me than the competitor’s as well. Three of the animals have little doored stalls (can see at the back of the barn) but once in the barn, there is no fence to keep the animals separated (but I am ok with that). The fourth animal has a window to look out of on the side where it eats from a trough. I did find it odd the set did not have a chicken, but appeared to have a nest in the hay loft area. Fortunately we already had chickens from the competitor’s brand so it worked out fine. I love the handle on top so the barn can be carried easily.My only complaints are:- something is rattling inside the cow and I cannot get it out- the way the doors snap shut is precarious and I think they can break easily.- We do not intend to store the farm animals inside the barn mostly because there are windows and doors for the animals to fall out of when being carried, but it will also cause issues in closing the barn.Overall, I think this barn will be perfect for my two year old son who loves to read “Click Clack Moo Cows that Type,” “The Big Read Barn,” and “Giggle Giggle Quack.” I also think he will play with his farm animals more now that they have a home. I never heard of the Battat company before this purchase, but I am definitely going to keep an eye out for them in future.
