I’m 100% satisfied with this rack, but . . .
assembly wasn’t a snap. There were times when I needed a 3rd hand. It took me 1 and a half hours. Even so, I got ‘er done. And it looks great for the money. Great. The IKEA-ish picture instructions are very good, but not 100% correct. One of the last steps shows the addition of 2 screws per corner, but there is only one hole and that worked fine, but you’ll have 4 screws left over. It is sturdy, but you reall.y have to tighten all the screws to the point of slightly deforming the metal supports to make it so.You’ll have to guestimate where to position the 2 inner shelves depending on what you plan to put on them. I installed the top shelf high and the middle shelf low which produced this vertical spacing: 7 inches, 10 inches and 7 inches. That was exactly what I needed – I got lucky there.Overall, I’m very happy with it now that the struggle of building it is history. It’s quite a bargain.

Absolutely perfect
I’ve tried several audio racks over the years and thought I was sold on the Salamander Archetype. But this one looked like the perfect fit for where I wanted it to go, and I was right. Quick and easy to put together (but do read the instructions first!), and very, very sturdy. There’s even a bracket at the bottom to keep power cords in order – in fact, my only suggestion (it’s not even a complaint) would be to add a second one higher up, for other cables. Although the free gift of two twist-ties was a very nice touch.

Holds stuff, as shelves are meant to do
I got this because I have one of the floating shelves from the same brand and now my 360, PS3, and Wii are all delighted to once again be a part of the living room.

Decent AV stand
For ease of finding information, first of all the double support bars in the rear will interfere with speaker cables and other connections due to the depth on the top two shelves. Using banana plugs would be rough for perfect fitment.Other than that the finish looks great and perfectly matches other black ash vinyl speakers and the like. In my case a perfect match for Monilith towers.Overall the unit is pretty sturdy, but be very aware that the threads for the shelf hangers will not hold much weight, and mine were half stripped. The threads are not very good, so I had to adjust to the other set of holes and fasteners are finger tight. This seems sufficient but I would not trust a heavy receiver on either of the suspended shelves for this reason. The brackets did not match the angle needed for the shelves, but a little muscle fixed the issue before installing. The feet are plastic, and I would have really preferred to see some rubber feet here for vibration reasons. If this is close to a subwoofer it may rattle. Certainly would replace if using a turntable.Finish quality is good in the metal. This is not a $400 AV component rack, so don’t expect anywhere near that much value. But for the price, it is acceptable and I would purchase again. There is a significant angle, which looks good bur o find it hard to match or pair it with anything in my decor. Reversing it is not possible.

Not so Easy
This piece looks nice but the assembly is not completely simple. First, the assembly instructions consist of these three words, “Easy to assemble”. That’s it. So, obviously there are only diagrams to use. They are not terrible but have fine print and you must look very closely at the details.I started assembly but could not finish the first step, and it would really need two people for that one as illustrated. My friend took over. She could not finish step one as illustrated. So she assembled it in a completely different way that worked much better. Now it’s together and looks nice but you should be aware that the two middle shelves do not attach at the front and angle up slightly unless weight is put on them. However, if you are interested in changing this you could drill holes in the bottom front of those shelves and place a screw through the bracket and tighten it down. I don’t know why that wasn’t done. I think I can live without it but think it’s a simple fix with a drill and four screws the tight size.

Perfect unobtrusive AV stand!
We needed a stand for our receiver that could fit in a corner, be relatively low profile and look good. This one fit the bill perfectly! It’s sturdy and we’ve received plenty of compliments on it. A+

As pictured
We bought this for a theater room to store our electronics. It was as pictured and we are pleased with it. Although the shelves are adjustable, because they are shaped to fit in the sloped shape of the stand, they don’t adjust very far up. It wasn’t an issue for us but something to consider. Overall very pleased

Great looking media stand and customer support
This is a great looking media stand!I did have a problem with one of the parts. Customer service was very prompt and solved my problem. Some people have commented on it being difficult to put together. I found the key was to ignore some of the instructions The trick is to fasten the cross bars (part 9) first. You want to have these cross bars by themselves. The other trick is to make sure that holes are facing outwards. See Step 3. This is because you will need to drive in some screws to help secure it. Once you do that, the rest is easy to do.

Deserves 10 Stars!
It is rare that I would give such high praise to a product. Not that I’m super critical, but it’s just that the items I buy are usually after some research and reading some product reviews, so I’m rarely surprised to find something that truly exceeds my expectations. But this FITUEYES Design 4-Tier AV Media Stand is one of those rare products that really make me stare and go “WOW!”.Everything is just right about this product, from the easy assembly instructions, down to the materials used and overall design. It is super sturdy, looks great, and just touching and handling it gives one a feeling of great quality. I paid around $130 for this, and given the level of quality and overall usefulness in my application, I feel it was well worth it. If you’re looking for a great audio stand, look no further and buy this with confidence. You won’t be disappointed. As for its application as an audio stand, what is particularly great about this unit is that the lowest shelf is large enough to accommodate amplifiers that are on a larger scale. If you’re familiar with audio equipment, then you know that some of the Emotiva XPA power amplifiers are very large and heavy. This unit is tailor made for these types of amps.About the only negative I can think of is that this unit could benefit from one more shelf. That would make it perfect!

easy to assemble, the bottom shelf does not leave enough space for cables and connectors at the back
Overall, this is a very good piece of furniture at this price. The quality is good, very sturdy ad very easy to assembleI am using this for a power amp, a turntable and a CD player. All working well except for the amp, the bottom shelf is not “deep” enough, I mean it has no issue to house the amp, but if you have speaker/RCA connectors near the middle, the back spine of the shelf can actually make it difficult to have the amp stay within the shelf space. I have the speaker connector near the middle and in order to ensure the front of the amp doesn’t stick out, I have to move it side way for about 1/2 inches, it works, but it looks a little odd when the amp is not exactly centered on the shelf.Other than that, I am pretty happy with the purchase. Just make sure you done the measurement right include the connectors for the amp

Power strip holder too small
Easy to assemble… I used a 5/32” ball head hex wrench instead of the included 4mm, and it worked fine. For the others, I used a #2 philips bit in a milwaukee impact driver (2853-20) on its lowest torque setting, driving them in until just snug (not hammering with the impact at all), then finishing with a hand-held screwdriver. As others note, wait until major assembly is done before final tightening of the allen heads; I did that after step 5 (installation of the vertical boards). As title implies, the included bracket needs to be about 5mm wider to fit most power strips (note that even the white power strip in the listing’s pictures is not able to fully seat in the bracket). If you use a wide power strip that fits multiple power supplies (aka ‘wall warts’), you will probably want to mount it vertically against the boards, in which case you will need cable ties about 14 inches long (more than twice as long as the included cable ties).

Well put together. Sturdy
I was surprised how well this stand was constructed. I think it’s going to last a long time. One great thing about this cabnet, most all screws screwed into metal taps, not particularly board like others. They obviously care about thier reputation. One thing, pay close attention to the instructions. Make sure a lot of pieces look the same , you might be redoing a few if your not careful.

Nice component stand
First impression upon opening the box, unit is extremely well packaged.I only gave four stars for ease of assembly because I can see where others who are ‘less mechanical’ might find it a bit challenging whereas for me it was simple. For those ‘less mechanical’, take your time. I found my coffee table (covered with a couple towels keep the main frame from slipping on the wood) in the TV room the perfect height to work from, much better than down on the floor. Lay out the main parts of the frame paying close attention to the location of the screw holes as pictured. Only open each lettered bag of hardware as they are called for.The four main sections of the frame with the four corners pieces in place will allow the unit to lay on it’s back just as pictured with no screws.Do not fully tighten any of the screws until you have completed Step 3, once all screws are in place and only slightly snug, then tighten all screws fully.Pay close attention to the details of the provided drawings, as in Step 7.When installing the little barrel inserts, make sure the screwdriver slot is facing outward, use a screwdriver to fully seat the insert, then align the insert so the screwdriver slots are in line with the hole on the edge of the shelf.Go slow and pay attention to the details on the drawings and you should be fine.Once complete, use a torpedo bubble level or circular bubble level to adjust the leveling feet, most important if you are going to use a turntable on this rack. For the money, I think this is a pretty darn nice looking unit. The quality, fit and finish of the components is quite nice.

Looks great, strong and reasonably priced
This is a very reasonably priced media stand that’s strong and stylish. I bought this for my office system because it matched pretty well with my existing furniture and was large enough to hold my Onkyo receiver. This is a really strong unit. The shelf sizes are large enough to accommodate my Onkyo 900 series receiver. I don’t really have any other components in my office that I needed to put on this media stand, but the size and shape of the remaining shelves was great for displaying other things I wanted to show. Assembly was very easy, I had no trouble at all and everything went together correctly the first time. The top and bottom shelves are the ones that can handle the majority of the weight, but if it’s assembled correctly you should have no trouble using the middle shelves for components as well. Some have sighted stripped out screws and shelves that can’t handle the weight they want to put on them, but if you put it together as the instructions indicate, it will handle the weight it claims to.Keep in mind that if you use banana plugs to connect your speakers, you need to account for the added depth that that creates. My suggestion would be to measure you components from front to back, including any jacks. If you don’t measure, then you get what you get and it’s not the fault of the manufacturer. You always have the option of ditching the banana plugs and connecting the speaker wire directly to your amp or receiver.Another thing I like about this stand is that it’s very easy to hide any cables you have. I spent a little extra time to secure some tie wrap blocks to the back to the vertical supports. This allowed me to use cable ties to secure all my cables to the back side for a clean look. My blocks are screwed in place but you could just as easily use self adhesive blocks. Either way, you have options if you want to hide all your cables. The finish on the Dark Walnut version is really nice. It’s MDF covered in vinyl wood grain, but it’s well done and doesn’t look cheap at all. The color compliments the black support members very nicely. There’s leveling feet included if you’re going to place this guy on a hard floor of some type, which is a good feature, and means that your media stand won’t rock at all. All in all a really nice stand. It’s very reasonably priced, looks very good, and is strong enough to hold most audio/video components. Very happy with it and I have no complaints whatsoever.

Elegant and Sturdy
I am very happy with this audio shelf. It fits my two amps, pre-amp, and turn table. One of my power amps is incredibly heavy and the bottom shelf is supporting the weight just fine. I did need to make a slight modification to increase the height of the lowest shelf to 10.5″ from the original max of 9.5″. It was actually fairly easy, just needed to drill two holes and get 1″ standoffs.Assembly wasn’t difficult. There were very clear instructions and all the parts for each step were in labeled pouches. I was able to do it by myself. Having two people would’ve been ideal for a couple of steps, but it was not terribly difficult with a single person. The setup looks great in my living room. The wood laminate shelves with the metal frame look very nice. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Thé instructions for assembly, which had the message, “Easy to Install,” were slightly confusing; but the final product is just what I needed for my component surround system. And, thanks to the measurements supplied in the product description, it fits perfectly and handles all of my components!

Well designed with all included hardware. Excellent stand without spending a tub of money.
Really well thought out. The assembly diagrams were good but some written instruction would have really help. All the holes line up and when finally assembled was very stable and sturdy. It did take a bit over 3 hours, from start to finish, to complete the assembly.

Very nice stand. I would buy it again.
Don’t worry about the few people that complained about this not being made of “real” wood. It’s perfectly fine whatever it is. You’re not going to put it outside in the rain – you’re going to put your stereo or whatever on it inside your house and that will be the end of it. If you want real wood, go buy a $1,000 stand at Ethan Allen.Yes, construction was a bit “challenging” but not horrible. (You WILL realize you put the two cross-pieces in upside down eventually. It’s not the end of the world.)As mentioned elsewhere, all the parts are well labeled and it is well packed for shipping.I actually bought it as a printer stand for my office but did throw a receiver in it.I can’t really complain about anything about this stand.

Disappointed… The Top Shelf is not Finished On Bottom Side
Disappointed… The Top Shelf is not Finished On Bottom Side and you can see it if you kneel down to get anything on the lower shelves or when you use this as a stereo shelf. It would have cost just pennies to finish both sides of the top shelf as they had the two middle shelves. Very bad and Cheap Minded production decision. Ruins an otherwise perfect stereo shelf…

I really like this AV stand!
This item is exactly as described. It is easy to assemble, attractive, and reasonably sturdy. However, the difficulty that I have is that my components are about 14.5 inches in depth and they don’t fit. With an 18 inch bottom shelf depth, you would think there wouldn’t be a problem, but the designer didn’t account for the extra 2-3 inches required for banana plug speaker wire, xlr connectors, or very inflexible power cords. Despite all of this, it is a big step up from what I was using before! I really like the aesthetics of this AV stand. In fact, I wish I could find one that is scaled up about 25% and made of solid wood / steel.

If the oak color exactly matched what was shown, it would be perfect! It’s slightly lighter -– as shown in my photo. But the quality for price ratio can’t be beat. This rack is sturdy and well constructed. Very easy to assemble because the machining on the bolt and screw holes so precise.

Nice appearance
It’s nice looking, putting the angled frame brackets together were clumsy without an extra set of hands. The two shelves are secured by a screw in the rear, so readjusting the shelf heights requires tools if you find you need to adjust later on.But all said I’d buy it again. Just wish they sold a shorter model like 20-23 inches tall.

Very sturdy for the price
A high-end version with vibration dampers will run you 1k+. This is very sturdy for a fraction of the price. I was hesitant because this price point tends to be cheap MDF that wobbles. No regrets.

Very nice piece w/challenging assembly
Don’t think this would be the best project for first timers without a helper. Step 1 one is definitely the hardest. I tried sitting on the floor and couldn’t do it. Finally worked sitting on the couch. Def could not do it the way instructions show, i.e, with frame lying on its back. Since there is overhang w/shelf, that plan is questionable at best.I sat on the couch and wrangled the bottom part then just laid the shelf on the frame to keep it steady. (Also used my feet. In Doc Martens.) Did same with top and screwed that shelf down. Turned it upside down and held the bottom shelf against the frame with my shoulder and screwed it on. Once that’s done, the hardest part is deciding height of shelves.Very, very nice piece for the money. Nothing cheap about it and real quality parts. Expect it to last a long time.
