Beer Barrel Bird/Wren House Hole Measures 1 3/8th inch
The barrel bird house looks cute and there wasn’t anything to putting it together other than the spigot. I will be removing the spigot after I put dried grass inside and placing wire mesh over the hole so the house will have fresh air and no stand for predatory birds to sit on and raid nests. I’ll get it a nice chain to replace the current twine hanger as well. The back was a little easy to fall out as well so I may add a little nail I can bend and then use as a lock by turning it back and forth. Overall four stars. I wish the people that made bird houses realized the hole needs to be a certain size for the bird you want to attract. This one may not get a nest since it’s a little off. It’s cute though and I hope the wrens will forgive my not exact hole size because this is so adorable.

A well made antique beer keg birdhouse
The media could not be loaded.
This is a very unique birdhouse made to look like an antique beer keg. It’s 5” x 8” in size, so plenty of room inside for a bird family, and just slightly bigger than the typical birdhouse. It’s surprisingly built quite well with same overall construction as a real wooden keg; bowed wooden slats fastened together with 2 bronze colored ring. The outside is very smooth and seems to be sealed for waterproofing so I suspect this will survive the elements. The entry hole is about an inch wide so most birds should fit, but not too big for predators. You’ll notice there’s a platform built onto this to set down but I suppose that’s mostly for show since the house will typically be hung.As for mounting, there’s 2 rings on top to secure the rope with and hang. Truth be told, I’ve never thought to just hang a birdhouse from a tree. All the birdhouses we have are mounted so I’m curious to see if birds will actually build nests in a swaying home.I suppose the only thing I’d like to see improved is the faux dispenser. That part is plastic which looks real but it’s quite loose once installed. This wasn’t a major issue as I just added some silicone around it to help secure into place and fill the gaps.Anyway, I do appreciate this unique looking birdhouse, and I’m especially happy with the quality. If you’re looking for something different then it’s worth the price I believe.Thank you for reading and I hope you find this review and the pictures helpful in making a purchasing decision.

Cute
Awesome little bird house. Very attractive and I like the ease in which you can clean out the house periodically from the back of the unit. It is mostly well made, The front, top and sides are fine, but when looking at the bottom it is like they stopped caring. Now I know the birds aren’t going to care, but ‘legs’ just weren’t attached well and they used the wrong type/size of screw to attach the legs. Just figure if you put that much attention into the detail on the top and sides that the bottom would be equally important.

Cute birdhouse
This is a really neat birdhouse. I got it for our tree in the front. You will have to put the nozzle in the front, but it’s pretty easy. I do kind of wonder if the nozzle will be in the way of the bird getting in the house, but only time will tell. There weren’t any instructions. I believe you can take the back off as there are two push pins there (which one fell out quite easily). Super cute and easy to hang. Seems to be made well.

Certainly cute.
This is really cute, sadly the “tap” doesn’t want to stay installed (fit is loose). Should probably have a nut on the backside. But that “tap” also obstructs the entrance to the birdhouse, no matter how I turn it.

Cool Birdhouse
Really cool birdhouse but there is a quality control issue, which is why I’m giving it four stars. Upon screw placement the side of this board chipped, which should have been corrected, and or dealt with prior to approving. Also, there was no stick included for a perch. Just could do better. Cool concept, poor execution.

Cute
Bird House for Outside, Large Wooden Bird House for Outdoor Wild Bird Watching, Birds Nest for Backyard/Patio Decor- cute little bird house with hanging string. I think this is cute, and well-made, and hoping that a smallish bird will make a home in it. I don’t have high hopes for the hanging string, it will likely not hold up to any weather, especially rain.

Fantastic novelty birdhouse
I’m in Alaska, where we have big birds and we have big critters trying to get in the birdhouse. So I’m going to replace the little twine that holds the barrel to the tree with wire or a heavier Paracord. I’m not going to use the spigot or tap, as that will just give squirrels a place and they can rest as they try to get to the eggs. I’m gonna ask a small piece of sheet metal around the hole so squirrels can’t chew through the wood. But those are just my modification to make an Alaska proof. This is a great looking fun style novelty birdhouse. If it holds up for a couple seasons, I’m sure I’ll buy three or four more.

Cute as can be
I’m not sure it would be good if I was trying to attract birds but I bought it for decorative purposes. It’s made of lovely wood and is surprisingly well constructed. I love it! Especially because I have it hanging in my vineyard! So cute.

Very Pleased
I purchased this for one of my brother’s birthday gifts. It was promised to arrive on his birthday … but it arrived the day before! Yeah! He was very pleased with it and hung it up immediately. He said the tap actually works! 😁 Thank you for making a great product.

unique design
One of the best things about the oak barrel shape birdhouse is its unique design. The barrel shape is both attractive and functional, providing birds with a safe and cozy place to nest. The birdhouse also has a large opening, making it easy for birds to enter and exit.Another great feature of the oak barrel shape birdhouse is its construction. The birdhouse is made of thick, sturdy wood that is built to withstand the elements.Overall, the oak barrel shape birdhouse is a high-quality, attractive, and functional birdhouse that is sure to attract birds to your backyard. If you are looking for a unique and special birdhouse, the oak barrel shape birdhouse is a great option.

Bird House
This is a wellmade bird house. Currently, it has survived some pretty severe storms and seems well liked by the birds around. Honestly, planning on getting a 2nd one

As Advertised
I recently ordered the bird house in the shape of a barrel/keg to add something different to my yard. The bird house arrived quickly and disassembled. The only parts that have to be put together is the tap into the barrel and the rope that is provided for hanging. No instructions are provided but the tap just takes some twisting to affix. The tap handle is supposed to serve as the perch but the one I received tilts up and blocks some of the hole that is used to enter the barrel. Yes, I have played with positioning and couldn’t find a position that didn’t block it some. The wood is decent and so are the metal bands. Mine also arrived with one of the metal pins in the bottom of the bag it arrived in. Not sure where that goes. There is also a hook on the back end of the barrel that I am not sure what the purpose it for. The rope needs to have better ends to push through the hanging hooks. I do like that the base is such that it can set on top of something if you don’t want to hang it. Some items I order underwhelm me and this is certainly the case with this bird house, but everything is in the listing.

For very small birds
I don’t know why they call this a “large” bird house, although for a very small bird like a finch this would be great. We have wasps everywhere in the summer, I’m hoping they don’t take residence inside. The back does come off (see photo) for cleaning out. It would be nice if there was a window pane so I could see what’s inside first! The back is held on in a very low tech way… a couple of thumb tacks are pushed into the wooden edges. The wood itself is a tight fit, and will swell with humidity, so I’m ok with it. There is an eye bolt on the back panel to help pull it off if it does tighten. The inside of the barrel is big enough at approx 3.75″ diameter. The entry hole is quite small at approx 1 3/8″ diameter. Again, I expect only small birds will fit inside, but for them it should be a safe nesting area. It’s still winter so I don’t expect to see much activity yet. I get snakes that crawl up the porch posts to get to a nesting ledge. I expect this rope suspended barrell will give a safer refuge.

Impressive product
This is the first of these I’ve ever seen. We have a ton of feeders and houses across our 9 acres and just love birds and bird watching. So getting a feeder that has a camera, well, that just sounds cool. And the product doesn’t disappoint. Granted, I don’t plan on subscribing to their plan for AI recognition and long term storage. By itself though, the product is certainly useful, without that monthly plan I mean. It seems well-built. Assembly was very user-friendly and the instructions were clear and useful. My only negative to speak of is that the included Fruit Pegs aren’t mentioned in the instructions. I saw where they screwed into the bird perch but had no idea what they were. The labeled bag said Fruit, and then I figured it out. They go on the top of the perch to put various fruit on them if you like. Picture quality is also good. App is user-friendly also. The mounting bracket provided for the bird feeder is certainly heavy duty—they did not cut any costs there. I like the included Velcro strap also for easy, no-drill installation, which is what I’ve done in the picture. This is expensive. I’ve ordered a second one of these from another vendor and am eager to see how the two compare to each other. This one is about $30 more than this other camera feeder. I’m satisfied and definitely recommend it.

Cute birdhouse
This is a really cute birdhouse. It is solidly made. You do need to attach the spigot but it is very easy to do. This will only fit really small birds. The back can be taken off to clean out the house. This will actually be the easiest birdhouse to clean. The opening to clean the house is very large.

Unique concept birdhouse
Honestly ordered this immediately on first sight. My partner and I are in the beverage alcohol industry by day, but hobby farmers when we get home in the afternoon. Dealing with wine all day I thought a wine barrel for birds?! This was just to fun and a silly stretch for the imagination. The overall design is actually very authentic with the wood staves and metal hoops. Even the cradle is done correctly, “but” this is constructed of very lightweight wood, not hardwood and will not stand up to the outdoors very long. Fun novelty for the money, nothing more.

This is really nice and well made
This bird house is both interesting in design and well made, very solid. The only assembly required is tying the included rope to the two eyelets and screw the faucet into the front of the bird house (keg).Interestingly the faucet is made of plastic and is an actual faucet you would find in a water jug, it really works. Being plastic it is possible it will get chewed up by birds but being an actual faucet you could always get another and screw it in. The faucet acts as a perch. The Keg Bird House is all wood and as I mentioned already seems very well made and solidly built and should last many years. The Keg appearance is very nice and eye catching. I think this is priced very nicely and would be a great addition to anyone’s yard.

Cute Bird House, Now Will Birds Use It?
I had the perfect tree to place this. A broken off limb about 12 feet high looked to be a great place for this in my back yard. I have a deck with a pond about 15 yards from the tree and lots of feeders around. I’m also placing a camera feeder in the tree behind it so it should be a lot of fun in the Spring and Summer. The bird house is the cutest one I ever saw. The barrel with a plastic water tap as a perch for the birds to get in and out. The tap wasn’t placed in the hole in the house and had threads but the hole was smooth. I wasn’t sure why but it screwed in nicely and was very tight when done

Well made, fun birdhouse.
I have quite a few birdhouses. Lots of trees & birds, so to me they go together. I try to get something different each time. This caught my eye, as it was a fun concept. I like the wood finish & the tap bird perch. As my husband makes fun of my collection, I thought maybe this would be one he could get behind too. The only negative, for me, is that you have to tie on the rope yourself. While there is plenty of length, I am just not the best at knots. This won’t be an issue for most, I am just concerned that my knots might not hold. Used a bowline knot, hope it works. Really nice birdhouse, with a fun barrel theme.

Unique!
This unique birdhouse is solid wood with a drainage hole. Also has easy clean out on the back with two removeable screws to completely open. Hemp rope to hang on a tree or hook is great – just not sure yet how well it will hold up to outdoor weather. This is the cutest and, i’ll say it agian, most unique bird house. Love it!

Very good quality, easy to hang.
This birdhouse is of very nice quality of wood and looks beautiful. It includes hangers on the top, as well as a stabilizing ring on the back. Hemp rope is provided in the packaging for hanging the birdhouse itself. I think this is a wonderful product, and I can’t wait to watch it be made into a home. 10 out of 5. Excellent product!

Nicely constructed with unique design
Nicely constructed with unique design. At first look you’d think this was a beverage dispenser, or maybe something for you Rescue Saint Bernard dog to carry. It appears to be well made and has an attractive finish. The spigot on the front serves as a perch for the birds coming in and out. The back section can be removed for cleaning out the inside. A rope is included for attachment to a branch or hook. Recommended !

smaller than imagined
The product looks amazing however it is smaller than it appears, it should still work for smaller birds. The Birdhouse did have two pins in the back of it that were not properly placed into the wood and one did fall out as soon as I removed the birdhouse from the bubble wrap. overall I am amused by it and hope I will get birds to nest in it.

Very Nice
This birdhouse came assembled and ready to hang. It looks exactly like the pictures, which is awesome. It’s well made and solid. My only complaint, and I’m really nitpicking, is they need to drill the hole for the ‘tap’ just a little smaller. It’s really lose. Nothing a little glue won’t fix, so no big deal. It’s a great birdhouse at a fraction of the cost a store would charge for something like this.

Nicely made and very cute
This is a very cute birdhouse and is going to look great hanging from a tree. The door on the back is a great idea so that it can be cleaned out. I think the spigot is a great idea for the perch. I would recommend this for small birds.

Nicely made … not large
I like the different design of this birdhouse. Nice change from he typical designs you see at the big box stores. It is nicely made and looks great in my yard. It is on the smaller side and I definitely don’t consider this a large birdhouse.
